Ben Carson tests the Trump method:
Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson says Islam is antithetical to the Constitution, and he doesn’t believe that a Muslim should be elected president.
Carson, a devout Christian, says a president’s faith should matter to voters if it runs counter to the values and principles of America.
It was clear this would spread.
The criticism has begun, and Carson is quietly watching, as his support slowly creeps up. I know I feel just a little more fond for him, and I view it as a ploy. He has even begun to double down on this, which I assume is in response to positive indicators in his internals.
Republican presidential hopeful Ben Carson is standing by his view that a Muslim should not be president of the United States, telling The Hill in an interview on Sunday that whoever takes the White House should be “sworn in on a stack of Bibles, not a Koran.”
If in a week he has gained one to two points or more, others will take note as well. You can be Jeb Bush or Donald Trump, or as the case may be, traitorous, groveling pansy Lindsey Graham or loyal and stalwart Ben Carson. Who the public loves will be obvious.
The vast majority of politicians are cowardly and unprincipled assholes, who would stab babies to get elected. All they have to be shown is that speaking common sense plainly will get them elected, and that the media grievance machine is over-rated and impotent. Before long, we may even finally be able to get candidates lobbying publicly for monthly anti-liberal pogroms.
Also, notice the media’s muted reaction. They are afraid to play this up, and see Carson’s support skyrocket in the face of their disdain. To do that, would only be to publicize the impotence they are terrified of being known for, and encourage a pandemic spread of the real-talk virus. Once the public is seen broadly rejecting the media’s narrative, that will become a fad, and everyone will clamor to do it, to get elected. Pretty soon a political debate will sound like a Don Rickles comedy act.
To think, we aren’t even into the beginning of the apocalypse yet.
We have much the thank Donald for. One man, standing alone and speaking truth has changed our political dialog, right down to the foundations. If you believe in it, and even if you don’t, say a quick prayer for him. He has a rough road ahead, whatever happens. He has stood up to the machine, and the machine does not like that.
Apocalypse cometh™
