Amygdala Bang! Trump Calls For Hillary To Take A Drug Test At The Debate

This could be an epic amygdala hijack:

Donald Trump suggested Saturday that his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, has been “getting pumped up” with performance-enhancing drugs and challenged Clinton to take a drug test before the final debate next week.

Trump argued that Clinton was more energetic during the beginning of their debate last Sunday, but lost her steam by the end of the debate. He offered no evidence to back up his wild claim.

“I think we should take a drug test prior to the debate,” Trump said during a rally here. “Because I don’t know what’s going on with her, but at the beginning of her last debate, she was all pumped up at the beginning, and at the end it was like, huff, take me down. She could barely reach her car.”

Hillary was off the campaign trail again, her break beginning Thursday or Friday, giving her almost a week off prior to the next debate.

You do not take a week to “rest” at such a critical time. If you want to be rested, you go to bed early the night before the debate. Maybe you take a day. There is only one reason you take a week. You need to withdraw from medications that you are taking regularly. It takes a week for all those transcription regulators in the cell nucleus to revert their levels to the levels of a person who isn’t taking the drugs. It takes a week for cell surface receptors to get produced in levels that they would be produced absent pharmacological treatment. It takes a week for you to go through the withdrawal, so that when you reintroduce the drug right before the debate, it has it’s effect.

What this says to me is, Hillary is taking these drugs constantly, to remain functional. She is like an addict, who needs a shot of heroin every morning, just to approach normal, and she has done it for so long that the shot is not quite working. She knows, that not quite approaching normal won’t cut it opposite Donald in a debate, so now she takes a week prior to every debate, undergoes withdrawal, feels horrible, and is basically incapacitated. My assumption is that she is probably incapable of functioning during that period. Just as she comes out of the withdrawal after a week, she takes a hit right before the debate, and goes into the debate basically normal, since the drugs have regained the ability to have their effect.

I think couching it as “she is taking drugs to do well in the debate” is wrong. It makes it look like she did well in the debate. She clearly did not, but not everyone watched it. Saying it, as if she did well, confers an element of strength and accomplishment upon her. With narcissists like liberals such a subtle mistake is deadly, because even such a small stimulus assuages their insecurity and thus assuages their amygdala.

Rather, Donald should say,

“A lot of doctors have said Hillary shows signs of a major neurological disorder, maybe Parkinson’s, maybe brain damage from her brain blood clot, maybe damage from her traumatic brain injury, maybe something worse with seizures, I don’t know – I just know a lot of doctors are saying she has symptoms of some major brain problems. They even said when Hillary collapsed at the 9/11 ceremony, that it appeared to be a seizure related to such a disorder, and the blue sunglasses she was wearing are a common anti-seizure treatment option. Clearly these rumors of something wrong with her brain, healthwise, are terrible.

“Just as I put those rumors about Obama’s birth certificate to bed by making him produce it, I would like to put the rumors about Hillary’s health to bed. Before the next debate, I would like both Hillary and I to take drug tests, for fairness, to show people that there is nothing wrong with us, and that we can both function competently in the debate without having to take drugs to make us seem normal physically, and keep from collapsing from some horrible degenerative neurological disorder like Parkinson’s or Supra Nuclear Palsy, or something even worse. I mean, these stories that she was having her staff look up Parkinson’s drugs, and medications in the Wikileaks emails are just terrible.

“I have discussed it with the Secret Service, and we will have a doctor at the next debate to draw blood and send it, under Secret Service guard, to an independent testing facility. Now is the time for Hillary to adopt the level of transparency she is always talking about, and take this small step with me to show the public that she is not going to just keel over before election day, and leave all her supporters without a candidate to vote for in November. She should do this for the well-being, and good of her supporters, really, and I would like to help her by setting this up.”

This sets it up as Donald highlighting a weakness, more than accusing her of doing something to perform well, and the public will see it that way.

There are three outcomes. Least likely is Hillary takes the test, passes, and does well in the debate. I don’t even think that would be possible. Next up, Hillary takes the test, holds off on the drugs, and collapses in the debate. I doubt she would risk that. Finally, Hillary refuses out-right, but the shock of refusing, and being called on it by Donald in the debate, is one more factor loading her amygdala.

And load her amygdala it would, if it was brought out correctly during the debate. In the debate, live, her amygdala would perceive Donald challenging her to take the test with him, right then, after the debate, under the watchful eyes of all the media, as an immediate threat. It would give the threat-stimulus a sense of immediacy that the amygdala would innately perceive, and respond to. There is a temporal nature to the really good amygdala triggers, which prevents procrastination. They place the target in the moment, between a rock and a hard place, and force a decision at the very moment the amygdala is pondering just how bad their plight is, and how impossible a decision is.

Combining an immediate urgency with a twig-snapping trigger-stimulus, places emphasis on it in the amygdala, focuses the mind on it, and adds to the aversive stimulus it elicits. This is the reason that knowing there will be a gunfight in a week will not light up the amygdala the way feeling a bullet rush by your face will. When the threat combines threat with immediacy and urgency, the amygdala will go into high gear. Fight or flight – or as so often the case with liberals, full on, drop-where-they-stand possum into a fetal position. Remember, in Hillary you have someone with an amygdala so easily triggered she throws fits of rage with her supporters, with her staff, and even with the Secret Service who risk their lives to protect her. Even with drugs, she is still a tinderbox.

To work right as a temporal hijack, Trump would need to hit Hillary, live in the debate, under the cameras, reiterating that he brought the doctor, the doctor is right backstage, the testing will just take a second, the Secret Service is all ready, and it will dispel the rumors about her health. Will she, right after the debate ends, consent to a mutual blood draw for testing, for fairness? That would set her amygdala on fire. Refuse, and she gives up her secret, acquiesce, and she gives up her secret too. She could refuse, but not without a shocking cost, which would haunt her throughout the debate. It would at the least degrade her mental function for the rest of the debate.

I can’t help but wonder if Donald might be doing this now, to hit Hillary’s amygdala at this moment, while she is probably in maximal withdrawal, two days into her refractory period. If those drugs quiet the amygdala when she is on them, it is a safe bet that when she is off them she is hyper-sensitive to amygdala stimuli.

It would be clever to unload on her now with something which she had to emerge from hiding to confront, all at the very moment she is laid out in a dark room, avoiding all shocking stimuli, miserable as fuck, and hoping that she doesn’t have the big seizure which she won’t ever recover from. This also makes me wonder if Donald is laying the groundwork now to go full nuclear on Hillary next Wednesday.

If he chooses to amygdala hijack her, he should face her and direct each accusation directly at her boldly and amusedly, instead of addressing the crowd. He should focus each accusation on out-grouping (probably with emphasis on sharp, out-grouping, demeaning phrases like “Political Hack!,” “Rapist-Supporter” for attacking Bill’s victims, “Warmongering Murderer” for creating wars and terrorists that kill innocent people, “Corrupt Criminal” or “Disloyal Traitor” for her pay for play, etc. He should make his arguments in terms of bad two-fers – “Either she is horrible/has totally failed/is completely unfit in this way, or she is unfit in another way – there is no other way to look at it. Too stupid/too incompetent, Too corrupt/inc. And he should try to punctuate them all with temporal deadlines that imply she has to come up with a response that moment – and because of the bad two-fer there is none.

He should maintain unemotional eye contact at all times – focused on her expression – and he should look at her as if her phony expression is failing and he sees through it – and is smugly amused and satisfied at the stress she is feeling under underneath it. He should present threats such as of criminal investigation and imprisonment, with an emphasis on the imagery of her fully out of control of what happens to her (The question may very well come up, about his last “jail” comment – if so he needs to paint a mental image of all the shocks she would experience when he is elected, like subpoenas, search warrant executions wherever her secrets are kept, confrontational FBI interviews, surveillance following her around, and so on. Emphasize she would not be above the law, and would be treated like any other criminal if he were elected.)

It is refreshing to see a candidate on our side who knows where the enemy’s trigger points are, and isn’t afraid to press them when it has to be done. If Trump is going where it looks like he is going, this next debate could be a real eye opener.
