Updated with video: In an exclusive interview with CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell at the White House this afternoon, President Obama decried today’s shooting in San Bernardino that has left at least 14 dead with up to three gunmen still at large, saying, “The one thing we do know is that we have pattern now of mass shootings in this country that has no parallel anywhere else in the world…”

O’Donnell was at the White House, getting ready to interview Obama about his trip to Paris and participation in a international summit on climate change, when the president received word of the shooting.

Were Trump to now come out and ask why Obama is dicking around with Climate Change all over the world as refugees and terrorists are placing us all in danger, he could easily create a linkage in the brain. Here is a live shooting, and this idiot is worried about a climate change that poses no real risk, and accomplishes absolutely nothing. Once Trump does that, then every time we heard someone raise “climate change,” a switch in the back of our head would register just how dangerous the world is, and view climate change as unimportant by comparison. It may even trigger a little anger that the person talking about it even raised the issue, and attach a perception of them as incompetent and unworthy of office.

There are opportunities to improve the quality of our leadership going forward, when Apocalypse is about because Apocalypse focuses an unfocused public in a way nothing else does.
