I am a good mechanism guy, but I have yet to effectively install enough understanding to function as an influencer, or figure out how to hack into and reprogram brains effectively – though I recognize the shortfall and am working on the problem. As a result, when people ask me, “How do I remodel my brain to be more K,” I know something is missing in me, and my answer will be poor medicine.
Works like this will fill an important void, because that use of r/K will need to come from one of those who is more of an influencer, and molder of thought, than a mere observer of mechanisms.
This ebook is a good start, which promises to be much more when the final book on the Nine Laws is out.

Will definitely check out the link, although I believe that correctly identifying the mechanisms is the influence. Simply pointing out the r-strategists tendencies and the results of those tendencies would cause any intelligent r-strategist to self reflect and realize their motivations are destructive to civilization – we just need to make this idea go viral, which is tough given the TED ban and Facebook promotional ban. Of course, you run into the problem of most r’s not honing the ability to effectively make the switch, or pretend to make the switch to be accepted (which is better than nothing). But, these strategies are hardwired based on environmental stimuli, childhood stimuli, underlying genetic ratio – look at the Millenial generation, I’d say about 50% exude total r tendency, while another 30% are an odd mixture of r-strategist resource exploitation/breeding habits/disloyalty to in-group with a K’ish ability to engage in conflict to defend these r-type pursuits, which of course might just be r-type fighting strategies like vastly overwhelming numbers relative to the opponent before even thinking of engaging, or the use of complete cowardice aka terrorism. We need a collapse, forcing total K on the generations brought up in the environment of resource K-type scarcity.

The “K operating system” comment is fascinating, and I’ve given that some thought. I think it is an highly accurate observation.
There is the way organisms inexorably evolve in response to pressure variance, and there are the modules of operation within that pressure.
My desire is to see awakened men operate according to competent processes.
There is enormous work ahead in the dismantling of the current political structure. By the time the Overton window shatters, men with hard K operating systems need to be in place.

Just downloaded and going to check it out. One of the things I’ve been struggling with is whether going without orgasm can lead to more focus, motivation, and a healthy amygdala as AC recently implied in a post. Unfortunately I couldn’t find much published science on the matter, and what I did find was contradictory. I think it increases the hurdle for me to change my life because I don’t feel certain that X or Y is going to have the desired effect. Thanks very much!
I’m not sure whether sex a predictable effect on the individual. My guess is some rabbit-prone individuals (maybe high long form DRD4 carriers), with their addictive psychology, would probably see an effect, while others might not.
At the societal scale, I believe it has an effect, but every individual is different. I think it highly likely I could do Coke every day for a month, decide it was time to stop, and then ride the horror and stop cold turkey. I have a very high tolerance for physical discomfort.
I suspect there are others who would be helplessly in its grasp after just one use.
The bottom line is whether lifting weights or hacking your brain, your own life is your own laboratory. Experiment.

Serious question — deserves a serious answer.
G. Gordon Liddy said it best in his autobiography, “Will”. Through constant strenuous effort, you can re-program yourself and bring out whatever latent tendencies you have. I would add that you can’t make something out of nothing, but you can express and polish whatever genetic traits you DO have by acts of will. The more that you do a thing and the more intensely you do it, the more you will become that thing. The less natural it is for you, the more fanatic you will have to be as you “exercise” to improve that thing.
Sometimes this verges into self-hypnosis as the body and the mind program each other in a feedback loop — as weightlifters, martial artists, and endurance athletes will testify. Whether actual clinical hypnosis is a short-cut to this transformation is a question for clinical hypnotherapists.
Does anyone else remember what nationalism was like before all the motivational seminar bottom-feeders showed up pretending to be interested in nation?

If you have to try, and to impress others, it’s gonna come across as insincere and fail. The Dark Triad people are losers, they’re notorious for being losers in every measurable sense and only have ‘experience’ to commend them – yes, as does a hooker. Really it’s code for weak impulse control and *lack* of discrimination, a very DRD4/r-type trait. Nowadays everyone has the opportunity to be reckless, especially on credit, it isn’t special. K-types have many values antithetical to Dark Triad ego addictions, which the manosphere stupidly confuses for charisma. People like the charismatic, they tolerate the DT. The DT needs to skip town because all the other men hate him (and no, they’re not ‘jealous’, common weaksauce excuse) but the masculine man can remain in a place for many years and be very socially successful, especially since they aren’t trying to steal other men’s women – they simply get the best single ones for themselves. Nobody has a problem with people getting laid in this century but there’s a classy way to do it (which isn’t fully K because it’s serial monogamy) and a cheap tacky (sorry but American) way to do it, and that’s Dark Triad, mostly based on lies. It’s all a mirage of masculinity they can never live up to (narcissism being one core component of DT I’m disappointed to see you vicariously endorse).
To understand what DT people are like IRL, read Hare’s book of interviews with psychopaths. I can 100% say they are losers in any meaningful definition. And that Freudian thing about mother issues always applies but sometimes with the father if he was a slut. [Coincidence? I think not.] They are the opposite of discriminating (a core K-value flipped into an insult by r-society). Every great K-male I’ve ever known has despised the high DT males for antisociality and other communal disruptions, although when present in milder forms it can be useful for business relations (not interpersonal and mostly the high Machs than the other emotional stuff, they’re really hormonal like borderlines basically).One K-man told me you can better judge a man and his quality by what he disdains than by what he claims to like, because disdain is practiced. That’s where he *shows* you what he stands for.
I think he is basically highlighting how DT’s use their mentality to get ahead, rather than espousing the psychology.
But yeah, real inborn DT’s make good moving targets.
They don’t have a mentality, they have defense mechanisms, and most of them immature. They work in the short-term, it’s literally the opposite of K. Read Without Conscience by Robert Hare, it ties into your coverage of malignant narcissism. They don’t really get ahead, it’s like robbing a bank and going to jail for 50 years unable to spend it, but in social currency.

Based on my discussions with certain preeminent researchers in the field, the DT traits are not considered maladaptive, but rather an evolution of human capacity. I am working on some collaboration with them on this front, perhaps later this year or early next year.
That said, a sword cares not whom it cuts.
Capacity in the hands of those who do not have a value system or well regulated internal processing and real-life experience is a dangerous thing. But that is true of all forms of power and capability.
A quick note here to acknowledge DisenchantedScholar’s post, and the use by the pickup artist community of the “dark triad” moniker.
Personally, I find the PUA use to be rather silly. It is akin to declaring oneself Darth Vader, and therefore having the Force available to… drop panties. It is childish.
