This one is not really surprising.
Support for the Alternative for Germany (AfD), a right-wing party that backs a tough line on immigration, has risen to its highest level in nearly four months as an influx of refugees from the Middle East gathers pace, a poll showed on Tuesday…
The survey also showed support for German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s conservative bloc slipping 1.5 points to 40 percent, still the strongest party by far, but its lowest reading since late June.
They will try to call it fascism, but they need to be careful. People are approaching a level where they will decide if they are going to be called fascists, they might as well get the pleasure of dealing with their enemies the way fascists deal with their enemies. The first place they will focus their ire on will be the media.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in Europe,
Europe shuts up shop: Hungary blocks main crossing point from Serbia used by migrants as Austria, Slovakia and Netherlands ALL follow Germany’s lead to impose border controls
Notice, America has had far greater Muslim immigration, but resource availability stifled any K-shift on the population’s psychology. George W. Bush, a moron rabbit in many ways, set the stage to import 3 million Muslims since 9/11, with an extra 250,000 entering each year. Yet absent resource restriction, you didn’t heard a peep about it. Now as resource restriction approaches and people in-group, it is beginning to make news.
Who could have guessed that after the largest terror attack on American soil, the United States would take in record numbers of Muslims? But that is exactly what we have done. And continue to do.
Per a recent Breitbart report, we admit “more than a quarter of a million Muslim migrants each year.” This figure includes legal immigrants with residency status, refugees, asylum seekers, students, and foreign workers. Of note, the number of student visas granted to Muslims from the Middle East has skyrocketed, with a 16-fold increase granted to students from Saudi Arabia since 9/11.
The first sign K-selection is approaching is migration. Poor areas find that as resources contract they lack the reserves to continue, and their rabbits flee, looking for areas that aren’t restricted. The second sign of K-selection’s approach is the in-grouping of previously rabbitized, resource-rich nations as resource restriction begins to appear there.
From observing things, it appears that leaders end up behind the curve on the K-shift, presumably because their positions afford them a level of free resources that keeps them rabbitized even as their populations begin to rebel against their rabbitty decrees.
I could not imagine a better backdrop to the lessons of r/K Selection Theory than what the world will go through in the coming decades. It should be impossible for r/K to not end up the go-to manual for teaching political science throughout the world.
Apocalypse cometh™ and it is good for r/K.

What I find interesting is that the old left had a goal to cause resource scarcity so they could swoop in with the solution to everything and gain power. As your book points out (still reading it, still enjoying it), r-selected have difficulty with future-orientation. Ironic their old strategy is quite possibly their undoing.

And yet, when r’s have taken total power immediately, as opposed to being forced to settle for slow Fabian incrementalism, it has been by using groups of K’s angered by circumstance to fight for them. To that end, I see the Cloward-Piven strategy as a rabbit’s ideal dream of getting everyone else into a tizzy, so the entire population will fight, bleed, and then hand the rabbit, what for a rabbit, is the ultimate free-resource dopamine rush – total power over everyone with no risk investment at all.
But you are right – the rabbit is much better off simply dulling everyone with pleasure. That other strategy will only bring pleasure to a very few rabbits at the top, and the defectives the SJWs claim to care about will probably end up like the gays and other oddballs during the Nazi-regime – and that is if it works. If it doesn’t work out, the end is very bad for everyone.
Thank you for the kind words about the book. Hope it is still enjoyable to the end.
