How Jack Ma convinced a Chinese game company to adopt ‘wolf culture’

Giant Interactive is making some changes. It’s going to be hungry like the wolf, says chairman Shi Yuzhu, and it may have Alibaba’s Jack Ma to thank.

Giant is one of China’s largest game developers and publishers, and its chairman Shi Yuzhu is one of the country’s most well-regarded entrepreneurs… Now, he’s announced to the company that it will be implementing “wolf culture.”

The opposite of “wolf culture” is “rabbit culture.” And apparently Shi came by this whole idea after a conversation in which Alibaba founder Jack Ma convinced him that “rabbits” are the biggest internal threat to any company…

“So why are rabbits the greater danger? Rabbits get along well with everyone and people like them, but they don’t produce results. Rabbits like reproducing more than anyone, so they’re always looking for others of the same sort to create more rabbits and create a rabbit nest that will occupy a department’s resources and opportunities. If core departments at a company are rabbit nests, then you get ‘rabbit culture,’ and you lose your fighting strength and market opportunities.

“Rabbits aren’t attack-minded like wolves. They live day by day, and they’re easily satisfied, casually eating grass. There’s no strength of spirit [with rabbits]…” As part of his address Shi said, “I want to get rid of all of the rabbits” and “we’ll get rid of as many rabbits as we find” because a small number of wolves will do more for the company than a large number of rabbits.

Jack Ma is like the Steve Jobs and Bill Gates of Asia. He is a big deal. If he is basing an entire business philosophy on this, watch for that to catch on like wildfire.

My guess is somebody saw it through Vox Day, because of the emphasis on the effects within companies, and the fact the gamers are obsessed with it. And of course, Asia is primed for it, with their befuddlement with Baizuo, or the silly “White Left” they so amusedly demean.

But regardless they have studied it here, given the recognition of starving motivating the wolves, and eating grass satiating the rabbits, and the recognition that wolves have high pack loyalty which is good in a competitive environment like business. Notice also as things are getting competitively economically, all of these high IQ businessmen are instinctively seeing the advantages of the K-psychology, and using the wolf meme to communicate it to their employees.

Clearly the meme is sinking in. And all it takes in those circles is for one elite to grasp it sufficiently, because they all attend dinner parties. So when Jack Ma begins talking about r/K and explaining it to a party, everybody stops and listens in rapt attention. In retrospect, it is not surprising it is spreading like this. Understanding r/K is actually a sign of intellect, and a way to social signal, even as it improves your competitive ability.

As this article shows, many leave such discussions at social events and immediately begin implementing it at their companies. And all of them will, when they want rapt attention at the next dinner party, begin relating the idea themselves to social signal their wolf status, show their cutting edge early adoption of an idea that will eventually be known everywhere. It even makes them into the center of attention of their peers so their social status and name recognition will grow as well.

r/K is perfect for such conversational domination, because it is so interlinked intellectually in so many diverse fields, and it comports so readily with so many things people have always known were connected, even if they never saw how. You can talk for hours, as your listeners are regaled again and again with the simple explanations for things they have always known, but never understood.

I will say this isn’t how I saw this working though. Back in my supremely ignorant days, I imagined the leaders of Conservatism Inc in America would want the rapt attention of their readers, so they would serve to them the interesting utility of r/K Theory, both to reward them for their loyal readership or listening, and to make sure their fans knew they gained value for their fanship, and thus would remain loyal to each Conservatism, Inc outlet. Or maybe they would just want to be the most interesting conservative in the public sphere, who shared the idea first, and to whom others would then look for more cutting edge ideas. From there, I saw it spreading like wildfire, and altering American culture to make us more competitive and more aggressive, so America would dominate.

I never saw it helping other countries overseas better compete with our own companies. But if Cabal was, as Q asserts, planning a defeat of America, look how things have turned out. Chinese leaders of industry (perhaps even Cabal assets in Asia) are spreading the ideas to help China defeat us. Just as in Judo you use your opponent’s strength against them, Cabal may have very well taken a force I intended to further American competitiveness, and used it to further their ends, and the defeat of America.

I suppose that until Trump finishes draining the swamp, that is how it is destined to go. Eventually though, have no doubt, r/K will alter the course of history all over the globe, and further American competitiveness as well, in large part due to everyone who has pitched in here, and told others about it. You will not want to be in the global ecosystem once American wolves see their fighting spirit fed by the forces of r/K.

Regardless, it gives me great amusement to think this little idea will be the catalyst for coming leftist purges somewhere. And those purges will, have no doubt, be coming here.

K-selection, when it hits an ecosystem will overtake all of it like a tsunami, once the K-shift is in full force.

And it is already beginning.
