YOUNG people in Switzerland are becoming increasingly right-wing and hostile towards migrants, according to a survey.
A substantial 36 per cent of those surveyed by the Young Adult Survey in Switzerland admit to subscribing to far right views – a marked rise from five years ago.
The survey, which assessed young people from 2006 until 2011 to see how their views changed over the years, found the number of youngsters who subscribed to the left went down from 41 percent down to 28 percent.
In addition, it found the number of youngsters in the political centre had also grown from 31 per cent to 36 per cent.
Children of immigrants were less likely to hold right wing and conservative views, the survey found.
Two interesting aspects. One, the K-stimuli are really molding the young to be K, even in the face of an amazing technological revolution that has made dopamine ever-present. I suspect part is minor resource restriction, but part may also be that the smartphones, tablets, internet, and other tech that blows us away, are to them like a magnetic compass was to us in our youth – nothing that impressive.
The second interesting thing is that migrants are r-strategists. The children of migrants carry the r-genes, and thus they obviously trend r despite the increasing K-stimuli.
It raises an interesting possibility. Liberals have been delighted to postulate that after extensive interbreeding, the races of humans will eventually blend into some uniform brown hybrid race, which everyone will look like. As with their idea that leftism is the future incarnation of man however, this is probably unlikely, in light of the ideas behind r/K Selection.
r/K Theory would indicate that diversity of races may be a permanent feature of the earth. During times of r, migrants spread over the globe, and seek to blend out the K strategists. But the moment things turn K, those r-genes will be culled out, leaving behind the genes which were present prior to the migrant’s spread. Thus in northern Europe, the Nordic K’s who have stayed put will survive as all of the migrant r’s and their offspring (probably spawned with indigenous r’s) are culled back in the next wave of K-selection. This will occur in every other country as well, from China to the Middle East. Those K’s who originally lived in each area, and failed to migrate will be the survivors.
Since the original inhabitants will also have genetic adaptations that were ideal for their environment that will be an additional advantage they will enjoy over the newcomers.
The exception will be America in some ways, since America is an immigrant nation. Not all migrants are r-strategists, though the majority always will be. Those few who have been lured to migrate here for freedom, the ability to work hard, and to escape the governments back home with which they did not get along, will be the survivors. Low IQ migrants, welfarites, the criminally-minded, sexual-deviants, and even your basic liberals will all find themselves on the wrong side of the Darwinian blade as the weaker specimens are pared away from the species.
What I suspect will quickly predominate will be particularly unctuous, freedom-demanding, self-sufficient, and industrious rebels.

Black skin… a good absorber is a good emitter. In German (or Michigan, for that matter) winter, you don’t see black people hanging around outside if they can at all avoid it – they lose huge amounts of heat through IR emitted by their skin.

Interesting. There’s an old adage that science progresses as the older scientists die off, leaving the younger talents free to come up with new ideas. Perhaps there is something similar going on here: as the older generation, who are getting a certain dopamine hit from tech, are replaced by younger people who do not get much dopamine from same tech, progress happens. Either that, or Silicon Valley ups the ante (think VR porn or somesuch). Maybe one could even argue that Silicon Valley exists to keep up all in dopamine supply.
