Splintering In The United States

Another hallmark of the onset of K:

Once the nation decided to back Brexit, secessionist groups from New England in the east to the Pacific Coast in the west have been inspired to throw off the yoke.

Across the pond in Texas, activists believe they could stand alone because their $1.6trillion a year economy would be one of the 10 largest in the world.

Momentum is gathering so much so, the hashtag #Texit and #Texodus is trending on social media site Twitter.

After the Brexit result came in on Friday last week, Daniel Millar, president of the Texas Nationalist Movement, called on Texas governor and Republican Greg Abbott to hold a referendum on leaving the US.

This is peeking its head around the corner now. Imagine when everyone is about to be evicted, can’t feed their families, and the Federal Government is demanding additional tribute to avoid downsizing the Office of Oversight of Regulation of Redundant Government Regulatory and Oversight Redundancies and Similar Agencies.

At this point, I would love to see the rules and regulations of the federal government lifted entirely. The idea of a local government, elected by the locality and purely serving its interests, would be heaven.

As the collapse approaches, the US Federal Government will require major sacrifices by the citizenry to keep it afloat. There will be no other way to support its existence given the burn rate of resources it requires to operate – and the way those resources will disappear.

It is easy to see how by that time, the people may decide that it will be easier to simply let the Federal government dissolve, and form smaller unions with less overhead and intrusiveness.

On the other side will be many Federal government politicians and employees who will be willing to do almost anything to preserve that union for their own benefit. Possibly left in the cold as the nation’s future is teetering between those two will be the rabbits of the cities, where the savages will be running free and preying on the weak and incapable.

It doesn’t seem a prescription for stability, peace, and harmony, as the K-selection gets off the ground.

I consider the Union to be important. I would suggest to give Trump a chance.

Some of the reasons I think the USA is important were expressed in Allen Bloom’s book the Closing of the American Mind. The ideas of freedom and constitutional Democracy are important.

When that happens, the same forces manipulating the federal government now, will set up shop in the most powerful of the splintered states, and use those states to dominate and take over the weaker ones.

Taxation spurs more greed than buying and selling goods ever could. Daniel Hannan, second only to Nigel Farage among the visible Brexit leaders, pointed out the rush for expansion, especially the Euro, into countries like Greece, and even Italy, helped the case for Brexit. The EU executives (EU Council) were concerned about fast integration more than ANYTHING else.

Union preservation IS paramount, provided it is a voluntary union of free and largely independent states that place first place of importance to liberty and local rule. That would greatly reduce the recovery time post-Apocolypse. Imagine a close community working together for a common cause of freedom and true self governance. An end to DC tyranny. It’s the only way it’ll work.
