Social Justice Warriors Lack Boundaries

An interesting analysis, which is only lacking the element of amygdala:

While reading “Boundaries with Kids” by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend, I realized how many of the issues social justice warriors have are due to parenting without boundaries and a lack of internal self-control in the SJWs themselves. Let’s look at the issues the “Boundaries” books describe when someone lacks boundaries and the behavior of SJWs.

“If you grow up with confused boundaries, you cannot control yourself and try to control others.” SJWs are demanding that they have the right to control others, whether censoring word choices, clothing choices or opinions that others hold. The end result is a totalitarian ideology that sees no limits in what it can demand, no matter how petty or personal. It doesn’t recognize boundaries that others may set. This may or may not be reinforced by the high correlation with diagnosed anxiety disorders Dr. Jordan Peterson of the University of Toronto found in social justice warriors that is absent in classic liberals, though both share the language and measure of morality based only on perceived fairness and empathy.

Social justice warriors were not raised with proactive boundaries, so they see only boundaries others unfairly place that are reacted to – when they find any kind of resistance, whether a “no, I don’t believe that” or “I won’t change what I’m doing”, their reaction is outrage like a young child told NO. They blame the person who sets the boundaries or refuses to go along with their ever-changing, emotionally based demands for triggering it, just as an older child blames the parent for the tantrum or damaged items thrown in response to being refused.

Boundaries are just amygdala triggers attached to bad behavior, which makes me wonder if raising kids without boundaries could be mimicked by raising a kid with boundaries, but also with enough dopamine that the amygdala could not activate and develop sufficiently. Both are examples of experiencing ease to the point that the amygdala is left in an undeveloped state, and the individual will display the neurotic r-selected reproductive strategy.

In the analysis, it even likens lack of boundaries with immaturity, which is just the absence of amygdala development.

The story of r/K is everywhere, and many see parts of it here and there. It bodes well for the ability of r/K to eventually spread everywhere, and inform everyone of the exact nature and origins of our political battles, because many will already have foundations of understanding which will convert easily to the concepts behind r/K.

Tell others about r/K Theory, because we need more boundaries in our society

Curious what you’d make of this article, where the author seems to be demanding that everyone else needs to drop their boundaries – http://birthmoviesdeath.com/2017/02/23/p.c.-culture-vs.-the-big-joke

“Boundaries with Children” is one of my favorite books. Excellent insight that it can also be used to deal with SJWs. IIRC, its key insights for parents were that 1) we love our kids unconditionally, but 2) we let them experience the natural consequences of their bad decisions. One example mentioned by our former pastor was when his family went to an amusement park, each kid having a set amount of funds with which to enjoy it, and one of the kids immediately blew all her funds on a game near the entry, leaving nothing for the rest of the day. Her mom was very sympathetic, but did not give her any more money, nor allow her to borrow any from her sibs. A great lesson was learned by that daughter that day.

This made me think of a recent story in the media concerning the dress code issue for women in certain areas of the congressional buildings. The reaction of the SJW young reporters to the fact that there could be any limitation as to what a female could wear was as expected along with media personalities pandering to them.
