Simon & Schuster is launching an imprint to focus on books with Muslim characters and stories…
Its first four books, set to be published in 2017, will be: “Salam Alaikum,” a picture book by recording artist Harris J.; “Musa, Moises, Mo and Kevin,” a picture book about four kindergarten best friends… and “Yo Soy Muslim,” a lyrical picture book by Mark Gonzales.
“Yo Soy Muslim,” a picture book for illiterate, non-English-speaking, Mexican illegal immigrants interested in Islam, set up just as we are about to enter K-selection. The only way it could be better would have been if it was titled “Yo Soy Un Transgender-o Muslim Feminista Lesbiano.” I may just have to set up my own imprint to make that happen. I bet it would even sell better than Evopsych.
Meanwhile Castalia House focuses on producing manly sci-fi, fantasy, and non-fiction without a leftist bias. It is as if God dipped His hand into the world and set everything up to spontaneously destroy the old guard.
