At a unique zoo in Hesse, visitors can get up close and personal with deadly reptiles such as crocodiles and alligators. But on Thursday a court judge denied the zoo’s appeal to be allowed to continue with these practices for children. Crocodile Zoo in Friedberg, Hesse, has faced troubles recently as its maverick way of bringing visitors closer to its animals has been deemed too dangerous by regional conservation authorities.
In the zoo, visitors can touch, feed and even swim with the crocodiles without barriers or protection, as long as they are accompanied by an experienced guide.
But on August 25th, the nature conservation authority of Darmstadt’s regional council decided that visitors could not come into contact with the animals without a barrier to protect them unless they were over the age of 18 and had been explicitly informed about the potential danger to their life.
Zoo operators immediately protested the decision, maintaining that nothing bad has ever happened before in the zoo and that the animals were tame. They put in a motion to appeal the council’s decision. But on Thursday, a court in Giessen rejected this appeal, stating that dangerous animals shouldn’t be allowed to roam around freely, reported Hessenschau…
The zoo opened in 2001 with the goal of bringing people closer to reptiles and showing them that animals such as alligators aren’t really monstrous – the way people often think of them as.
Now, only those who are well informed and over the age of 18 may continue to get up close with the reptiles, which might be a problem for business. In one of the zoo’s most popular event packages, the Dschungel (Jungle) birthday parties, the birthday child gets a photo opportunity with a live alligator and can even swim with a crocodile. But now no children will be able to participate.
I think this is very similar to the whole migrant issue. It is amygdalae that are turning off, and not presenting threat stimuli.
What really heightens the r-aspect is that supposedly the ruling really hits the company because their big seller was the kid party package for birthdays and group parties, where all the kids got to swim with the crocs and the gators, and even take pics. What kind of parent puts their kid in a pool with gators and crocs, just trusting that nothing will happen?
It sounds funny, but I am learning to turn off my threat recognition to simulate leftist thought, and when you do that, this becomes just a fun experience, almost like virtual reality, or a theme park ride. You touch the alligator’s skin, swim with it, feel it brush against you, and just keep telling yourself people do this all the time and nothing happens, so that little rush of adrenaline is just a fun sensation. Once you make that jump, you can see how seeing your child with the gator becomes a wonderful feeling of giving the child a fun experience. They literally are not thinking there is any danger, and they lack the memories to see what could happen.
It is weird, because when I return to my normal thoughts, all I can see is how gators reflexively snap their jaws shut when something touches their tongue, and how they can rip an arm off in a second with a death spin. I even see Steve Irwin, the Croc specialist who had a croc at his zoo catch his hand once as he squatted at the edge of the water. He reflexively relaxed his hand and pushed it at the Croc as it began to slid back into the water, and surprisingly the croc let go. He said afterward if he had tried to pull it back the croc would have taken his hand, but pushing it at the croc and not moving it made the croc think it had bitten something that was not alive, so it let it go.
Suddenly, with my memory operational and my threat recognition intact, I don’t care what anybody else has done and gotten away with, I’m not going near those things, nor are my kids. And if the leftists are going in, I’m getting a front row seat and having my video camera rolling.
Stress and fear will bring back common sense, and when it does this whole period is really going to look like a period of mass insanity. Until then, we just have to keep the leftists swimming with those alligators.

I introspected a little bit. Assuming the probability of something going wrong would be the same (which is just a supposition), why would I never hug an alligator, but be perfectly OK with some slightly dangerous sports like mountain biking or rock climbing?
I guess this is because the alligator can act out of my control, whereas if I crash on my MTB it would be because I made a mistake, thus it would be my responsibility. This fits well with your statement that the r’s prefer random risk that is out of their control, whether the Ks while not averse to risk, will prefer situations where they have at least the feeling of being in control and responsible…
Oh Germany. This reminds me- my high school Physics teacher was in one of those nuclear artillery units stationed near the Fulda Gap during the Cold War. The stories he told were amazing. If the balloon ever went up and Soviets attacked it would have been hell on earth. First the Sovs would have fired their big thermobaric and frag artillery at the Western armies, then hit them with VX before 40,000 of their tanks stormed across the border.
We found out after the Cold War that the Reds had something called “Novichok” which is about 8x deadlier than VX and ate through NATO gas masks, but I digress. Anyway, as the story was relayed to me everything outside of a tank or self-propelled arty would be dead and the remaining American, French and British forces would have fired every neutron bomb and tac nuke available at the Warsaw Pact tank columns. Just about every square inch of what was formerly Germany would be radioactive, burning or toxic.
By the Grace of Heaven, that didn’t happen, although there were way too many close calls. Point is, politics is downstream of culture, and culture downstream from genetics. I don’t know exactly how Germany became so rabbitized, but it is time they stand up for themselves. Being there can’t be helpful for them and they need to find their own way as a nation, absent Turks and migrants. Moving the ticker towards K could save many lives, and too many have already been sacrificed. Hopefully Germany doesn’t have to bleed again the way it did in the past. Stop letting muslims into your country Germans, its going to end in disaster.
