Just an automated shooter with visual capability, but it is the future:
A killer robot which can detect a human from over four miles away – and shoot them dead – could be being implemented at the Russian border.
The device will be used predominantly to detect low flying drones and other potential aerial weapons attempting to cross the border.
We are getting close to mixing already developed autonomous mobility with already developed autonomous targeting. Once those are combined, it is a matter of time before one goes haywire, and you have a mobile killing machine going around destroying anyone it can lay eyes on.
I have seen a lot of the Apocalypse to come in my mind already, but one thing I didn’t think about was what would happen as technology became more accessible to amateur hackers, looking to solve various problems the Apocalypse presented. I’m sure somebody is going to cobble together an autonomous anti-personnel robot to guard an area they don’t wish to face assault from. If things got hostile enough, I could see wandering around, and unknowingly entering an area which somebody decided to turn into a denied area by turning one of those little babies loose.
The world in the Apocalypse looks like an awfully lively place.
The reviews on this page exist because the reviewers didn’t encounter any autonomous killer robots

I presented the prediction a few months ago, to assuage westerners fears of jihad, that in the near future, some white kid in his basement could have access to 3d printing, drone and laser-beam technology. He alone could clean out the problem in a couple weeks.
