Deficient amygdalae cannot process threat:
Dr. Jane Orient, executive director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, is criticizing the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for allowing refugees to enter the United States without screening and treatment for latent tuberculosis.
Seven of the agency’s own public health experts said such screening and treatment “would potentially save millions of dollars and contribute to United States TB elimination goals” in a research article published in December.Even those refugees treated for active Multi Drug Resistant (MDR) tuberculosis, as shown in this video of Burmese refugees who have the disease being treated in a refugee camp in Thailand, are allowed to enter the United States despite recent studies that indicate that between 4 percent and 5 percent of those deemed successfully treated experience a recurrence of tuberculosis within 2 years…
The Minnesota Department of Health recently reported that 22 percent of resettled refugees in that state tested positive for latent tuberculosis, as opposed to 4 percent of the general population.
Other research indicates that anywhere from 20 percent to 49 percent of resettled refugees test positive for latent tuberculosis…
That year, there were only 0.1 deaths from tuberculosis for every 100,000 residents of the United States.
The Democratic Republic of Congo, in contrast, experienced 69 deaths from tuberculosis for every 100,000 residents, a rate more than 690 times greater than the rate in the United States…
Somalia, another of the ten leading countries of origins for resettled refugees in the U.S. had the second highest rate of tuberculosis mortality of the ten leading countries of origins for resettled refugees in the U.S.—67 tuberculosis deaths per 100,000—or more than 670 times greater than the rate in the United States…
The incidence of a Somali meat packer in Kansas who died from tuberculosis has officials calling for better health screening for the waves of unskilled immigrant workers flooding smaller American communities.
In the wake of the January death at a Tyson Foods plant in Emporia, Kan., public health officials found 160 cases of latent TB among the facility’s 500 Somali workers, according to the Topeka Capital-Journal.
I thought there was at least a spot check. Given this level of suicidal stupidity, the pandemic increasingly appears as if it will be a key element of the Apocalypse. Given the interconnectedness of the world, all I see are billions of human petri dishes, all housing varying strains of death, each increasing the likelihood that whatever emerges will cut through humanity like a buzzsaw.
The ability to isolate yourself and your loved ones may be your only chance for survival then.
For now, it is possible Trump could grind immigration to a halt, just by implementing highly rigorous screening of all immigrants for communicable diseases endemic to their homelands. That would preferentially target third world immigration without referring to race or IQ, in a way that if challenged would open the opposition to having every death of an America to such a disease hung around their neck. Every American who died from a communicable disease seen in migrants would become like Kate Steinle – a tangible living example of the real human costs of liberal stupidity.
He would probably also save lives.
Spread r/K Theory like you are a liberal trying to infect the general populace with a plague
[…] Refugees Aren’t Screened For Tuberculosis […]
Next we will probably see 5th and 10th circuit backstabs from Bush appointees. With the 9th they will potentially be able to shut down border enforcement or wall construction. The question becomes, will the Democrat wackos care about cuckservative judges when Trump starts impeaching the trash?
[…] Anonymous Conservative writes about the appalling fact that refugees aren’t screened for tuberculosis, and this, in an age when tuberculosis has made a comeback in the First World, after a long period of absence. […]
I think I mentioned TB here, perhaps a week ago.
Afterwards, I recalled that you chaps used to perform health checks at Ellis Island, pretty effectively I think.
Of course, there is a problem with running health checks on illegals as they arrive. It might be a good idea to issue surgical masks to the men currently rounding up illegals. I imagine there are lawyers swarming the detention centres, and it might make a point to offer them masks before they meet their clients (my lady tells me I can be a mischievous expletive deleted).
Now that is a funny idea.
