This is not a sign of a right that is willing to put up with leftist shenanigans any more:
A top Oregon Republican said Monday he’s considering using militia groups for security purposes after a man directing anti-Muslim rhetoric at two women fatally stabbed two men and injured a third this weekend.
Multnomah County Republican Party Chairman James Buchal told The Guardian that recent protests have prompted members of the Portland GOP to consider security alternatives.
“I am sort of evolving to the point where I think that it is appropriate for Republicans to continue to go out there,” he told The Guardian. “And if they need to have a security force protecting them, that’s an appropriate thing too.”
He said that might mean making arrangements that don’t rely on police.
“There are these people arising, like the Oath Keepers and the Three Percenters,” he added. “We’re thinking about that. Because there are now belligerent, unstable people who are convinced that Republicans are like Nazis.”
I think part of the problem began with the internet. Once the left lost control of the narrative in the mid-nineties, and the power of the leftist-dominated media began to collapse, the left realized that absent that undue influence our populations would naturally begin to trend more K.
Now, real K-selection is approaching, and that is making things even worse. To hold onto control, the left has decided it needs to maximize the amygdala-triggering of its base, to maximize their political engagement.
As the leftist machine is busy riling the base to never before seen levels of insanity, the leftist base itself is completing the last phase of r-ification, courtesy of technological advancements in entertainment and communication, ease, lack of threat, and free money availability like never seen in history.
Things have gone so far left that even as President Trump features a gay speaker at the Republican Convention, the left portrays him as literally being the next Hitler. So despite the fact everything is more leftward than ever in history, the left is riled as never before in this country.
I do not see how our two sides can ever be reconciled, because the r-selected left will have to be brought back to K – something that under r/K Theory cannot happen except by force. Only an external environment, so unpleasant you would do anything to avoid it, can effect that change in the brain. Anything short of unavoidable, unbearably painful force, and the amygdala will drive itself away from the force and avert its own development.
I think the only two choices going forward are some sort of civil war ending in separation or destruction, or some external calamity that will crush everyone and render the political split in the country meaningless for an extended period, thereby re-K-ifying the left and bringing the political center back toward the right.
It may be that the only peaceful way forward is the Apocalypse.
