Chatter is growing louder on Capitol Hill that Paul Ryan’s days as Speaker are numbered.
Four House Republicans, including a senior lawmaker close to leadership, told The Hill they expect Ryan to step down after Tuesday’s election, arguing that he faces a daunting path to the 218 votes he needs to win a full two-year term leading the House GOP.
Most politicians are r. They are in an environment where you have to avoid conflict and social aggression. They get free resources. Staff-asses are everywhere for the taking. Their life is an immoral abyss. Few noble men seek out the profession, because everyone within it is so noxiously abhorrent.
It will be fascinating to watch as Washington suddenly finds a diehard warrior take power, who believes in the projection of strength instead of preemptive capitulation. Washington has been selecting politicians for rabbitry for some time now. Be a K-strategist, and all the rabbits would team up to eject you from the warren.
Now Donald is about to assume the most powerful office of all, in a warren of rabbits. Rabbits who oppose him will either flee from the inevitable conflict, or seek to assuage their amygdalae by joining behind him.
The best part is, Donald may make the warren more amenable to K-strategists, as he sets the example and draws K-strategists in. Donald will change the debate, rewrite everyone’s views of political ideologies, and revitalize the Republican party. But he may even repopulate Washington with K-strategist wolves, loyal to their packs, loving of their offspring, and desirous of victory, instead of preemptive capitulation.
