A former adviser to Donald Trump has released what she says is a tape of a phone call from the US president after her dismissal last year.
Taping things around you to document them spontaneously is more complicated than it would seem when done under real world conditions. Omarosa recording Kelly in the Situation Room would not be as easy to do on the fly as you might assume without thinking about it.
Picture doing it yourself. Kelly tracks you down in the White House, catching you by the Situation Room, and says, “Let’s talk.”
You’ve got a lot on your plate, because it is the White House. The demand is a surprise, and you wonder what it could be about. It is unusual, or a violation of expectation. It could be important to the survival of the administration. If you are trying to fuck over the administration for Cabal your first thought is, “I’m burned!” All of that is amygdala, and all of it will distract your brain from the thought-pathways necessary to execute a recording procedure for an important moment.
My point is, in the heat of the moment, it is tough to record such a conversation once off for the first time, while flying by the seat of your pants, while under that much amygdala – especially when the event you will record was sprung on you by surprise and shocks you as it captures your full attention.
If Kelly grabbed her in the hall, and asked her to give him a moment in the situation room, (which I assume is how he would do it, to surprise her, get her off-guard and unprepared for a fight, and prevent her from feeling frisky and making a scene before she was escorted out), then how did she get her phone recording, with Kelly right there?
And that ignores that cell phones were banned in the White House since January, and there were TSCM personnel actively scanning for them.
I think it more likely than not she was wired somehow and recording constantly, maybe from the day she first showed up at the White House. It could have been a simple pen recorder, maybe a thermos recorder, maybe a car key fob recorder, but it feels like it was something else more professional for battery life. Not every recording system you buy off Ebay records audio that clearly for eight to ten hours straight without recharging, and with a battery that won’t need replacing regularly due to deterioration from daily discharge.
Then there are the security issues. As anybody who stores such regular recordings knows, they build up, and fill up storage space fast. So if she was doing it every day for a year, she would have had to dump those files each night to a storage system. She probably had external hard drives stored somewhere with all the confidential conversations she was privy to in the White House. Were they secured? Could foreign intel have broken into her place and copied them? When she burned the files to the external hard drives, was it on a networked computer connected to the internet, and thus hackable? Could it have been hacked wirelessly from nearby?
Then there is the call with Trump. You do not call the President. The President calls you, when he gets a moment. And again, she was all set to record it, presumably on her cell phone. Clearly she was prepared. Did she develop all that skill all on her own, and have everything ready to go on her own? Or might somebody have given her a crash course?
And I do not know White House Security procedures, but if I were a new hire in a plum job, given to me by the God Emperor himself, I would not be trying to smuggle covert recording devices by the security entrance, and into the West Wing. Imagine being caught. Did somebody give her a crash course on how to do that safely, or did she simply try to do it and hope for the best? Was she that reckless, and if so, for what purpose?
It is possible she operated on her own, but for somebody Trump was reaching out to help by giving her a job, she sure appears to have been preparing all along to operate as a saboteur. And she seemed awfully good at it for a neophyte.

I know people who have had calls with POTUSes (not this one that I know of). This is how it works.
You get a call beforehand (usually a day, sometimes just a few minutes) from someone from the Office of the President. They ask if you are available at the right time (“are you free between 11:37 and 11:50 central tomorrow?”) and once you’ve worked out the schedule, they tell you that they will call you.
About 10 minutes before the scheduled time, you get a call from the OotP on a White House line. They confirm that you are ready. They ask if you are on a cell phone (and if you are, ask if you can move to a landline so that the call doesn’t drop) and then either tell you that the president is delayed and set up a new time, or they put you on hold until you hear a click and “this is the the President.”
And that’s how it happened. Also, all of the President’s phone calls are recorded by the White House for records preservation purposes, but the are automatically highly classified under a TS with a code word. They are also usually transcribed for people with Need to Know.
This may sound crazy but I have a theory from observing people who betray others (ie adulterers, embezzlers etc). The betrayal never sits well with them. They put on weight, go prematurely grey, wrinkle up… you get the idea.
She looks fabulous. Whatever she’s done, she’s not a traitor.

It’s a mystery why GEOTUS ever invited her into the White House, since he had seen her propensity for backstabbing and $#!t-stirring first-hand on The Apprentice.

You don’t emotionally think of it as a betrayal if you came in as an agent of destruction and never felt any loyalty. It only takes an emotional toll if you change your stance (either by betrayal or Stockholm Syndrome.)
Actually, recording and storing audio is now easy, Moore’s Law has provided. About 2GB per day will record 192kbps very high quality audio 24/7. Very acceptable voice could be encoded with less than a GB per day so an entire four year term could be squirreled away on a little 2TB USB drive plucked from the shelves of WalMart. And again, COTS encryption software could make storing it fairly safe from prying eyes unless they can get ya accessing it and capture your passphrase.
In these days of SJW lynch mobs it might pay for any pale white guy to keep a year or two of their daily activity in a safe place to defend against accusations. And the bad guys, like this bad hire from Hell, are certainly going to be doing it more and more to assure a big payout.

The running theory in Q circles is that she’s another trap for the press. She either is betraying Trump to the Cabal on the theory that they will protect her when they impeach Trump, or she’s Trump’s operative giving the Cabal yet more rope with which to hang on down the road. From where I’m sitting you might as well flip a coin because we won’t know until we know.
My first thought is she’s a Trump plant to distract the media. There’ll be nothing of note, like the Cohen tape. Omarosa is taking the WWE role of a heel, to make Trump look good in contrast. He’s playing the media.
