Now France Has A Cold Problem And An Electrical Problem

Little touch of Apocalypse for the holidays:

France may be hit by power shortages this winter, with almost one third of the country’s nuclear power plants out of action.

It might be time to bring out the extra blankets at home.

Grid operator RTE warned on Tuesday that it would have to take “exceptional measures” to keep the French warm this winter due to the fact that 20 of the country’s 58 nuclear power plants have been temporarily disconnected for safety checkups.

These measures may include “short power cuts in certain areas of the country in order to continue providing electricity to homes during the winter period”, it said in a statement.

And the French will be grateful for anything that can keep their homes warm, especially with recent temperatures that have already proven to be colder than usual in France, the operator noted.

It is such a shame that just as the migrants move in, Europe seems to be getting colder all over, when they are adapted to such warmer climes. On the bright side, it will likely cut down on the rapes and sexual assaults.

Tough to say if this is an infrastructure problem creeping up, or just poor planning. Either way, if the best France can do in a time of r is to endure power outages in a freezing winter, K is gaining upon us.

It would be a counterintuitive strategy in the Apocalypse to take out the infrastructure in winter, to implement K-selection, but it would probably be effective. r-strategists are usually adapted to warmer weather. Create an inescapable cold, which requires incredibly arduous effort to even slightly ameliorate, and I’ll bet most of the rabbit imports would flee home faster than you could blink.

You might get rid of a lot of liberals too, and remodel the brains of what was left to be more K.

It would be funny if somewhere some devious K-strategist with a malevolent mind in a back office structured this to do exactly that. Probably not, but we will likely get to see the effects of this strategy to judge it nonetheless.
