News Briefs – 12/15/2022

Here are some news stories that might be of interest. Most articles will be more or less summarized in the headline. You can skim the headlines and summaries, and click the links if they are of interest. Keep in mind, many of these reports are products of an unreliable news media, so although they will be what people are hearing and talking about, there is no guarantee any one of them is necessarily correct, and we have had cases of outright lies make it onto these pages.

We have a temporary advertiser, The Daily Financial Trends – a financial news aggregator designed to deliver the data other financial sites deliver, but in a fraction of the time. Give them a click and see if you prefer getting your financial news there.

We maintain a light, news-story-only, very mobile-friendly  version of this site, with no comments, at https://www.rkpolitics.com

If you have clicked on the page for this News Brief, this is a link that will take you directly to the comments section.

Also, what should we look for so if we see if we should turn it off immediately?

Apparently, early in the lockdowns, the pr0n sites made free premium memberships available, and tons of people used their lockdown time to “explore”.

DeGeneres Body Count

https://www.biography.com/news/ellen-degeneres-girlfriend-car-accident

Ellen DeGeneres’ Girlfriend [Kat Perkoff] Was Killed in a Car Accident. The Tragedy Inspired DeGeneres’ Career-Defining Stand-Up Routine.

Perkoff died, so DeGeneres wrote a skit about it and performed it on Johnny Carson’s show, just like any other ordinary person who doesn’t know anybody important does.

https://decider.com/2022/08/12/ellen-degeneres-issues-statement-anne-heche-death/

Ellen Degeneres, who dated Anne Heche from 1997 to 2000, shared a tribute to her ex-girlfriend after Heche died following a car crash.

“Hey, people die in car crashes all the time.”

https://ew.com/tv/stephen-twitch-boss-dead-ellen-degeneres-show-dj/

Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, dancer and Ellen DeGeneres Show DJ, dies at 40 … The So You Think You Can Dance judge died by suicide in Los Angeles.

That’s a sinister capitalization.

Another comedian once joked that it would be just normal that people die whenever Dick Cheney goes to Applebee’s – I guess that’s how things work when you’re as famous as Ellen.

Ironic. A friend of mine was forced to get the clot-shot to keep her job in law enforcement. She told me that she now gets regular panic attacks and oftentimes has to pull off to the side of the highway so she doesn’t get into an accident.

> It almost looks like the FBI was designed to spy on Americans who might be disagreeing with policy.”

The official reason for the FBI’s creation was to deal with “organized crime” across state lines. They almost immediately veered off into spying and political enforcement, illegal detention, and harassment, first against “Communists”, then anyone opposing the Democratic Party. By the 1940s they were officially the US’ primary intelligence agency as well, handling both foreign and domestic agents, signals, mail intercepts, etc. In the late 1940s the OSS morphed into the CIA, which supposedly was forbidden to operate within the US, though the FBI was still allowed to compete with them elsewhere.

Several of the “regime destabilizations” in South America that were credited to the CIA were primarily the work of the FBI.

The FBI is *still* a major intelligence agency, though it’s hard to tell how it ranks against the NSA, CIA, DIA, etc. There are almost a hundred Federal agencies doing “intelligence” now, whether they were tasked with it or not; for example, the United States Postal Service.

What did you think your campaign contributions were being used for, anon?
Not just for buying ads in defunct media like newspapers and CNN.
The Federal Election Commission regulates what campaign funds can be used for. They’re at fec.gov. Oddly, the site is simple and easy to navigate, and it lists many of the things those funds can be used for. With very few exceptions, anything a candidate wants to do with them.

Worth about $1.95 after the US economy collapses from turning the printing presses up to Warp Factor 10.

Note that a couple of years ago some oil companies discovered oil offshore, within South Africa’s territorial limit, that they were saying exceeds all of the Middle East and Venezuela together. And after that… silence.

South Africa could simply sell leases to oil companies, sit back, and eat off gold dinnerware like the Saudis did, but that doesn’t seem to be happening.

Funny, that.

Reminder if they’re lying about the Dinos turning to oil, they’re probably lying about the Dinos entirely. Pull that string at your own risk; nothing about this existence is as it seems.

More to this story than we’re being told. ““You wouldn’t have Ron DeSantis as governor without Kent Stermon,” Florida politics reporter A.G. Gancarski told First Coast News.” A commenter here the other day mentioned a gay mafia known as “the lavender mob”. and now you know why they’re so happy to re-elect her to that job, despite her record of 1000% grotesque FAIL at election time. the republicans are controlled opposition whores, working for the same guys the dems are, and winning/losing “elections” don’t mean shit to them. ahhhhh, but caviar & limos on demand and high-dollar perks?? now that’s what *truly* matters to a hard-working whore! the rubes will pay for it, just send out more mass mailings; maybe get Hannity or Levin to shill for us. This is what Conservatives get for making money their number one issue.
It ends up infecting even organizations with another priority because your entire activist/leadership pool is filled with money grubbers.
I’m sure organized Libertarianism is similar.

There was a second important announcement about free speech policies.
But Trump’s tease clearly referred to these stupid cards, and even the free speech stuff didn’t rate the hype.

Unless beclowning himself is part of a 3d chess move this was a horrible idea.
We already got the announcement of a doomed (by fraud) 2024 Presidential run last time he promised us a historic announcement.
To everyone in the public this just looks like he is reverting to being the grifter he was in the business world.
Yes, he was a grifter who rode the edge of the ethics cliff constantly.
