News Briefs – 10/26/2020

Here are some news stories that might be of interest. Most articles will be more or less summarized in the headline. You can skim the headlines and summaries, and click the links if they are of interest. Keep in mind, many of these reports are products of the Fake News, so although they will be what people are hearing and talking about, there is no guarantee any one of them is necessarily correct, and we have had cases of outright lies make it onto these pages, especially about President Trump.

Twitter Brief is here.

A real beauty of an Anti-Q article, complete with the ridiculous description of what Q asserts, as it tells the story of a guy who is now embarrassed be ever believed in any of it. I put it here just because if the media will knowingly lie this blatantly, it tells you they are afraid of something.

> I know quite a few mormons myself. casually, because mormons don’t go beyond casual acquaintance with non-mormon infidels.

Vox Day has been excellent recently and this is one of his main points: civic nationalism just doesn’t work. When times get tough, people trust others of their own race and religion over those who are different. Eventually those feelings resonate into a breakup of the empire in question, which never rises again (Soviet Empire, Roman Empire, Austro-Hungarian Empire, etc). So the 1965 immigration act that flooded America with Latinos probably doomed us to breakup – hopefully without a civil war. It does question the whole concept of MAGA, though.

Also, @AC: you might find the permies website interesting for more than the content. All of their threads are permanent there as well. It seems to do a good job of deduplicating information as people have at least a theoretical incentive to read rather than write. It might not work on a more emotionally charged topic like this, though.

If something like that can be enforced in America it might just work. Of course the argument is, US citizens of all races being spoiled as they are, that anyone incompetent who upsets all the fun and stuff will suffer at the ballot box. We will know the results of that experiment a little after Nov. 4. And I suspect voters are (accurately) blaming China and to a lesser degree Dems for their hardship in 2020.

America might be heading towards a one party future- and that party certainly won’t be the Democrats. With all of their graft, vice and lies, no Democrat can bring home the bacon the way Trump can.

You should be bragging right now about your model accurately predicting that narcissist Biden’s health would fold under pressure. He might be literally stroked out or dead over the Hunter compromat. He just screams and blanket denies when it comes up.

The point of well implemented civic nationalism is to keep things from getting bad.

Beyond that, we’re seeing many black patriots rejecting BLM and coming over to the MAGA side.

Sure, ethnic differences help if you’re trying to break things up and are willing to inflict great deprivation on a population. But it need not lead to those things if people are bound by a common culture and common perceived interests.

Civic nationalism works… in a one party state where elections don’t matter- so long as the people are prosperous or believe they are prosperous. The Roman State lasted for centuries after Latins became a minority in the 1st Century BC. The Byzantines lasted far longer.

State control (low corruption), proper investment and LOW/NO immigration can make (or keep) a multi-ethnic country stable. Examples: Singapore, Switzerland, Belgium.

But you can’t have it all. A massive Empire will never be mono-ethnic, just like a left leaning state will never maintain prosperity. It is possible to have a mono-ethnic welfare-state country/nation that is successful and even has growth. Examples of this are Japan and the pre-2000 Scandies (before the immvasion).

Of course, see my original example- Rome. When the Latins became a minority there was a sudden shift from Republic to Empire. From Senate to Princeps. It shouldn’t surprise to the see that happen in the USA as well. It will be a dilemma for the national security folks- just like it was for Roman Legions. Weaken the Constitution and voting rights or give up territory as minority groups break away. You can’t have it all.

Ethnos (and not race or religion) is and always will be the base of any country. It is the ground and gravity is always in play. Some can defy gravity longer than others but, even an Eagle has to land.

> immvasion

I love this term and am going to use it in the future.

Also I totally agree with both of you that there is no one factor that explains everything. If you want to have a prosperous society, you want it to be small, composed of high IQ citizens, who think of themselves as a unit due to unified race, religion and culture, with a more or less functioning free market. The problem is that such a society eventually become r-selected and lazy and import slaves to do the work they don’t want to do, thus shattering all of the components that made them work.

Rex 2020, The word “ethnos” which is Greek and “race” which is an French/Italian word meaning “breed” are the same thing!!! “Civic nationalism” is an oxymoron. “Nation” is Latin for “one birth”. Civic means it is a propositional country, i.e. ideological. Nation/Ethnos/Race all mean the same thing! from different languages. All three intimate homogeneity.

Absolutely, but multi-ethnic states still exist. Even rarer- sometimes different peoples mix over time into some new average mix. I’ll use ancient Germany as an example, the Indo-Europeans conquered the North European plain and within 1000 years had made completely new tribes out of the old ones. These Teutonic tribes varied in their dialects and male lineages and each was unique- ie. each was it’s own unique nation. Millennia later and most of the lands of the Germans are a single country today, but Germans are not “Germans” like we think. There are three main male lineages among Germans. R1a, R1b and I1. There are two smaller male lineages among Germans, G2 and I2. Of these 5 lineages, maybe 3 are Indo-European (again from different tribes), and the other 2 are Neolithic. That means at least 5 different “nations” or “ethnos” created the current, modern German ethnos.

While the example of Ancient Rome may make a good example:

https://affirmativeright.blogspot.com/2020/10/the-demise-of-nationalism-part-1-logic.html

China is the counter-example. It has already gone through all the Rome and Europe has gone through including feudalism. But it has become perpetually a unified Empire.

It used to consisted of multiple Ethnos each being their little country.

But the State grew strong enough to unify them for longer periods of time ever since.

Definitely, all the differences were forcibly ironed out over the millennia into a new form- the modern Han Chinese. The modern Han have partially engulfed the Wu and the Manchu and are engulfing the Tibetans and the Uighurs, who are not Han. The modern Han descend from the ancient Han who engulfed the Yue, the Guizhou, the Di and the Qiang, among others. This was partially through conquest and through forced assimilation.

We can tell that this occurred by looking at Chinese Y chromosomes. O1a, O1b, O2, Q, C and D are all common. The original Han had O1a but, most Han Chinese today have O2. The D type is Tibetan or Japanese, and the C is Mongol or Polynesian. Q was common among the Xiong-nu (the Huns). This means that literally dozens of different peoples contributed to the genetics of China and they were forcibly ironed into a “mono-ethnic” state. But the modern Han are still very different from the ancient Han, even on a genetic level.

RE: Hunter Biden

There has been a lot of speculation that Hunter is as fucked up as he is because he was raped as a child, probably repeatedly, leading to the lifetime crack addiction, the “pegging” incident at the NY strip club, etc. Further speculation has been that it was Joe. I do not agree with this assessment. Looking at Joe’s compulsive behavior around young women even when MSM/CSPAN cameras are rolling, I don’t believe that Joe is a homosexual pedo, I think that Joe is a compulsive heterosexual pedo. What I think happened is that Joe got hooked into a pedo network and traded time with young Hunter for time with young girls in the network when his own daughter wasn’t enough to satisfy the craving. And then Joe had four grand-daughters, at least one of which that has been repeatedly filmed kissing him on the lips in a manner that reminds of a goodbye peck between lovers.

Those numbers alone are enough to flip New Hampshire. Trump lost by less than 3,000 votes there in 2016. New Hampshire results will be a good data point to see how fraudulent other purple states might be. Trump should win the state by at least several thousand votes- if he does not then we can extrapolate. It’s a small Eastern state too, so results should be in early.

That looks really interesting. I have dabbled in the writings of Mencius Moldbug at times. I didn’t know he was on Twitter, though. He’ll probably get banninated soon enough on that hellhole of a platform.

when I was young and stupid, I used to sneer at all the idiotic lunatic theories being spewed by the old men. I recall specifically the one about how ‘modern art and modern architecture is a commie plot designed to drag down the American spirit.’

but I’m older now. just look at any medieval cathedral – those magnificent stone bridges to God – and compare it to that contemptible abomination above. or check out the “famous photo of Grand Central Station rays of light” (it’s googleable) vs. any of the famous dipshit modern architect’s “melting building” atrocities.

the old stuff is *clearly* designed to ‘Elevate’ humanity. to bring men closer to the divine. and they succeeded, wildly.

the new stuff is *equally clearly* designed to suppress the human soul and induce despair.

and there has to be a reason for this
