Re: Demand for Revocation of the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting
Dear Mr. Kliment:
I call on the Pulitzer Prize Board to immediately rescind the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting awarded to the staffs of The New York Times and The Washington Post, which was based on false reporting of a non-existent link between the Kremlin and the Trump Campaign. As has been widely publicized, the coverage was no more than a politically motivated farce which attempted to spin a false narrative that my campaign supposedly colluded with Russia despite a complete lack of evidence underpinning this allegation.
When the Board announced the prize, it lauded the recipients “for deeply sourced, relentlessly reported coverage in the public interest that dramatically furthered the nations’ understanding of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and its connections to the Trump campaign, the President-elect’s transition team, and his eventual administration.” Specifically, the prize was awarded for a series of articles centered around the now-debunked Russia collusion conspiracy theory. The headlines themselves were extremely sensational and leaned heavily on unsubstantiated anonymous sources. For example, much of the information contained in these articles were credited to “people with knowledge,” “current and former officials,” “some senior U.S. officials,” and other vaguely defined individuals. As a result, the public was deprived of an independent means of assessing their credibility, their potential for political bias, and the source of their knowledge.
For two years, these institutions feverishly pushed one Russia story after another and – despite lacking any credible evidence – attempted to persuade the public that my campaign had colluded with the Russian government. Contemporaneously with that reporting, numerous conservative news outlets and commentators questioned the legitimacy of these reports, exposing the clear logical fallacies contained in their narratives and pointing to the clear lack of evidence underpinning them.
It has since been confirmed that the allegations were false and I have been exonerated of these charges. Most recently, John Durham’s indictment of former cybersecurity attorney and Hillary Clinton Campaign attorney, Michael Sussman, serves as a damning repudiation of the media’s obsession with the collusion story. The indictment pointedly accuses Mr. Sussman of making false statements to the FBI when he presented “evidence” purporting to show secret communications between my organization and the Russia-based Alfa Bank. At the time, Mr. Sussman assured the FBI that he was providing this information of his own accord, and not at the behest of any particular individual or entity. The indictment reveals, however, that Mr. Sussman was working with other Democrats and billing his time to the Clinton campaign. Importantly, the indictment reinforces the falsehood of the Alfa Bank connection, stating that “the FBI’s investigation revealed that the e-mail server at issue was not owned or operated by the Trump Organization but, rather, had been administered by a mass marketing email company that send advertisements for Trump hotels and hundreds of other clients.”
For over a century, the Pulitzer Prize has been widely recognized as a significant achievement in the field of journalism. It has been viewed by many as an honor that is meant to be bestowed upon well-deserving recipients in recognition of their groundbreaking journalistic efforts. This level of reverence carries with it a very important connotation, namely that the reporting itself is inherently deemed credible, well-sourced and trustworthy. Given this powerful presumption, there is a heavy burden to ensure that these works are continuously and closely examined as to the veracity of the information contained therein. When it becomes apparent that a Pulitzer Prize-winning work was based on shoddy, dubious and manifestly false reporting – as is the case here – the Pulitzer Prize Board must react accordingly.
Ultimately, my hope is that the recipients of the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting, The New York Times and The Washington Post, will voluntarily surrender this award in light of recent revelations. However, should they fail to do so, I would expect that you will take the necessary steps to rectify the situation, including stripping the recipients of their prize and retracting the false statements which remain on the Pulitzer website. Without holding the recipients to such a high standard of accountability, the integrity of the Pulitzer Prize namesake stands to be wholly compromised.

It’s impossible to know until she actually presents evidence in court. I lean towards her being on a parallel track that if allowed to go the way she wants would spoil the script. The Plan is on Trump’s timetable according to Q, not Sydney’s, so she can’t be allowed to fix things before the suffering has burned a mark in the masses that will keep them awake and active for the rest of their lives. That’s the part of this that I see our side refuses to see, all of us are awake, so what we consider actionable and what the masses consider actionable are two completely different things.

It gave them time to decompress and helped somewhat with PTSD, since they all went through it together and nobody was alone. In Vietnam, you went over mostly alone, joined a unit as the FNG, and a year later went home on your own. I bring it up because from a mechanical perspective, the only place I could see that sensor surviving is in the lower, say the pistol grip or the buttstock. An AR upper has too much pressure to deal with, as well as moving parts. I wouldn’t put it in the handguard because heat kills electronics.
So, if you ever need to pick up spare parts off the ground from a government gun, this is something that you should keep in mind.
Fantastic food for thought. I know multiple preppers who have talked about contingencies based around resupplying off of EKIA, and this is the first i’m ever even hearing of integrated trackers in the loot.
Luckily the most easily worn out parts (springs, barrels, bolts, etc.) are the hardest to stick anything electrical into due to the stresses as you mentioned. If you’re blowing out a receiver you’re likely already so far up shit’s creek your paddle is broken too, so might be a moot point.
Still probably a good idea to just get a backup kit of essential parts to avoid the issue entirely. Shit is still relatively cheap.

I have two frankengun AR’s built on 80%s, both of them with PSA upper receivers and CHEAP barrels. I put all the money into the internal parts because that’s what breaks on a an AR. Currently running a Sharps Reliabolt because I can’t get an LMT Enhanced any more. They just don’t seem to make them any longer and aren’t accepting back orders going on two-three years now.
I’m running the Sharps strictly because it’s entirely S7 instead of Carpenter 158. It’s just a bit better tool steel. DLC or NP3 coating is a bonus.
Flat wire recoil spring – lasts quite a bit longer.
KE Arms SLT-1 trigger. This is a five pound trigger which is NOT as crisp as other triggers in this price range, but that’s also not the point. The mechanism is completely sealed and lubricated from the factory, making it nearly impervious to dirt, debris, popped primers, whatever, that will usually jam an AR fire control group.Added bonus – you can engage the safety no matter the condition of the rifle, unlike with the standard fire control group which requires a rack of the charging handle.

I actually don’t, though I know he does that. A lot of my internet experience is different from the viewers, and even what I would recommend, because I have to spend so much of my time online visiting regular mining sites looking for links for this. Nice message and I agree with him. My own experience reflects this. During the Trump/Q years I woke up to the Cabal and the satanists. Bullshit. Network Engineers don’t perform BGP routing changes IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKING DAY. Facebook isn’t Joe’s car wash down the street. They have legions of Karen’s and ITSM change process dorks sitting around making sure any and all IT changes are approved and performed within the scheduled window. Those windows aren’t between 8AM and 5PM. More likely windows: 10PM – 5AM US timezones. That’s why they’ve been farming that shit out to India/Pakistan/Phillipines.

The comments about the local support people is somewhat right and mileage varies. I had a COLO in Denver that would be on a phone in under 10 mins 24x7x365. They had a great crew with the equipment to do stuff in this example.
And don’t give me this shit we couldn’t get everyone coordinated bullshit. They have cell phones and warroom bridges. The main video conferencing systems weren’t down. Webex/Teams/Zoom/etc. were up. More bullshit. I had a main data center go out due to a power issue. It was out dark and we were all on a bridge within 10-15 mins of it happening.

Fuck off. 99% of all of the badge reader systems I’ve worked with might have a central website for badge MACs (moves/adds/changes), but their is a little grey box in the building by the fire systems typically that can run the badge readers even if all network connectivity is cut off, because they have codes stored locally. So that’s a bullshit story too.
Ramenporn also stated that it wasn’t an attack, but a mistaken configuration change made via a web interface. What really stinks — and why Facebook is still down hours later — is that since both BGP and DNS are down, the “connection to the outside world is down, remote access to those tools don’t exist anymore, so the emergency procedure is to gain physical access to the peering routers and do all the configuration locally.” Of course, the technicians on site don’t know how to do that and senior network administrators aren’t on site. This is, in short, one big mess.
LOL. Router change via a web interface. That’s how you know they’re at peak levels of bullshit. Perhaps there are some newer interfaces / automation tools, but if it’s the normal players (Cisco/Juniper/etc) it’s more likely command line interfaces were being used to configure the device.
Data centers are built across geographic areas for both redundancy and load-bearing reasons. Every article I’ve seen makes it seem they had a couple DNS servers all sitting behind one router which had a failed config change. BULLSHIT.
They have multiple data centers with multiple internet points of presence (circuits) which means multiple routers, multiple BGP peerings, multiple Public IP Blocks, and multiple DNS SOA servers. Facebook wouldn’t just advertise it’s whole address block out of one data center. And that’s exactly what all of these so called “Experts” are telling us.
