When I consider the number of sleepless nights I’ve had, the very real fear I have felt starting in 2008 with the financial meltdown, which directly led to a layoff and 1 year unemployed, the pandemic response which seems to have essentially ended my career path, the vaccine mandate, which officially ended it (and which led to a month of sleepless nights wondering if I’d be unemployed again), the stolen election, the riots of 2020 that they supported, all these different things which had a direct impact on me and my loved ones. I remember waking up repeatedly during the night during many of these examples, praying and claiming God’s promises to get me through. (He did, and I am grateful every day for His continued blessings). My extended family was split down the middle during COVID because several members were so affected by the constant fear propaganda, which is coercion all by itself. Knowing that any of these evil, privileged old men and women who profited off all of the above experienced even a fraction of that fear and shock makes me HAPPY, if it’s true. I wish they could feel that every single day for the rest of their miserable lives.

Besides, other people will be making money there.

As a practical matter, you cannot relax around anyone. I manage a portfolio of commercial warehouse properties in DC. Over the past 7 or so years I have experienced increasing accusations of racism when I am simply pointing out to tenants that they are in violation of the terms of their lease (for example, late on rent). I did not previously have these accusations. I’m white American. They are….. foreign. I am not having these accusations AT ALL from Americans (of any race). ONLY from immigrants (whether legal or not — we do not check — if they have a legal business registered in a state or DC, checking on their immigration status is not something the landlord does).
To emphasize….. the accusations of racism for simply doing business (trying to enforce a legal contract which both parties should read and understand before signing) — are increasing over the past 7 or so years. And coming only from the people of color, primarily from Africa, not raised in America. Not with American people of (any) color.

I’ll tell you an event that happened a few miles from me that totally cemented my ideas about Blacks. There was a dead end road and at the end was a Black public housing project. Apartments lining both sides of the road. Somehow a little 9 year old White girl ended up down there. They took her to an abandoned building past the project, multiple people raped her and killed her. Now there is no way possible that she could have gone through there without hundreds of people not seeing her and yet. Not one damn person did a thing to protect her. Not one damn person called the police, nor did they give the police any leads to go on. At that point I realized that no matter what I couldn’t care less about them and my purpose is to protect us and myself from this sort of pathology. Hundreds of people and no one said a thing.

There’s a lot of panic over the lynchings in the South but if you look at the actual numbers it was very small and in all cases it was due to a general ramping up of violence by Blacks. Just last week I was helping a retired engineer (age mid-60s) working on his own job (digging out a stump), not only do just what those guys in the video were doing, shoveling into a wheelbarrow when the pile was right there, but insist I did it his way. He also insists on using shovels where trowels woud work better, and vice-versa. I think it’s something like being unable to adapt existing programs to new circumstances, but sometimes it’s like there’s nobody home — for instance when we needed to remove the rocks and pebbles from a dirt pile, he was going to do it by hand — not a sieve or even a rake, literally with his hands.

This is yesterday’s thread, and while I disagree with the rest of the post, the first four paragraphs are on point. I don’t understand this lawsuit and am wondering if the news articles describing it are mis-representing it in some serious way.
Presidential elections, congressional elections, and elections for state and local offices are three completely separate processes, and the first two are addressed in entirely different passages of the federal constitution. The federal constitution doesn’t address state and local elections at all, aside from maybe the vague “republican government” position.
At a minimum, these can’t be bundled up in one suit. Courts haveinterfered with elections on fourteenth amendment grounds, basically holding “equal protection of the laws” means votes can’t be weighted more for one group of voters than another (what Sam proposes further down). But that is mostly a left tactic, and there is still the issue that it interacts with two completely different parts of the federal constitution, and state constitutions for state and local elections.
And there is no requirement to elect presidential electors at all. The federal Supreme Court also has limited leeway in dealing with provisions of state constitutions, which govern state and local elections.
You’d be amazed how many people have never read the Constitution. Probably similar to the number of alleged Christians who have never read the Bible.
It’s incredible easy to understand, the language is not overly complex if your IQ is somewhere near 3 digits, and the intent is obvious in context. That’s why they don’t want people to read it.

I concur. You know how everybody is brainwashed to accept there is only a single solution to every problem? We keep hearing about term limits, which is a very bad idea. A lame duck politician who can’t be reelected is the most dangerous animal on the planet. As long as he is seeking reelection, you have some amount of control on him.
