News Briefs – 07/05/2019

I always see lots of r/K related stories I think might interest the readers here, but I only have time to blog about a few, so here are some additional news stories that might be of interest. You can skim the titles and summaries, and click the links if they are of interest. Keep in mind, many of these reports are products of the Fake News, so although they will be what people are hearing and talking about, there is no guarantee any one of them is necessarily correct, and we have had cases of outright lies make it onto these pages, especially about President Trump.

‘Mini AOC’ Parody Accounts Are Gone Thanks To Lefties Doxxing And Threatening An 8-Year-Old. Did you buy the narrative, that this was crazy leftists tracking down and threatening a child? Or might something else have not liked her sticking her nose in politics, and decided to drive her off of the stage under cover of leftist insanity? Suppose she had taken measures to stay anonymous. Do you think she could have interfered in the mechanism like that, gone viral, acquired that many eyeballs, and just gone on doing it, potentially affecting the mechanisms of the show you are watching with nobody being able to control her? Or might she have gotten some other sort of pushback? It is a shame to see kids taught they can’t partake of the political system.

MAD Magazine will cease publication. I never read it, but now I am wondering if it was another Cabal-funded, CIA MK Ultra-experiment that just ran out of funding. Did it foster the Warrior ethos? Principle and honor before death? American patriotism? Clarity of thought and openness of mind? Those clear demarcations and observational power in the mind which make people do exactly what Cabal would never want them to do? Or did it takes kids and make their minds into mush by making everything a joke and every authority an incompetent and nothing worth actually fighting over? Its motto was, “What me worry?” That is basically turning off the amygdala. I wonder now how it was funded, especially since I cannot recall anyone I ever knew who would have subscribed. And they even called it “MAD” magazine. I also wonder if Trump labeling Buttigieg “Alfred E. Newman” was a sign he knew something.

I read MAD magazine as a child because they used to have it for check out at the local library. -Not sure if it was for kids exactly, but it came across as a bunch of sixty year old left-wing unfunny Jews trying to write comedy for a younger crowd. It had to be a Cabal funded flop because nobody I ever knew was into it, and it should have failed for the same reason why leftists fail at talk radio and comedy in general….they are angry, mean-spirited and generally unfunny. Even the booger/fart humor that would appeal to a kid went too far. I remember seeing one of those fold panels they had in the back showing a guy squeezing pimples into a mirror, and it was so gross I almost threw up a little. That happened a lot. There was always something to make the reader gag.

Another thing I remember is that I’d have never read it if it wasn’t in the library because it was the most hugely expensive subscription. You’d pay graphic novel prices for a grotesque comic book.

China Lake is big. Way more than middle test range. That’s all I can say.

Mad Magazine was a great way to understand American culture as it was and as it used to be. As a kid it helped you understand decades prior and held many cultural sacred cows to a bit of the flame. I don’t know what happened after the 90s and I wager nothing good but it was a powerful set of information for decades even if it was all jokes and satire. Most kids will know nothing of the 60s, 70s and 80s but growing up it was easy to find mad from those eras and it offered a window into those times u like anything kids today will ever know. Sad to see it go but it’s been gone for a long time already I fear.

I wasn’t able to get up there, but watching those clips, it’s wild the patriotic feeling, the pride welling up, it makes things seems less grim, like there is hope again.

“…I cannot recall anyone I ever knew who would have subscribed…”

I used to read MAD magazine when I was a little kid. Many, many years ago. It was funny. Lots of awful, kids like this, humor.

obviously i havent seen many MAD mags since the mid 70s but… the recent cover with obama in a “spy” hat manipulating “spy vs spy” was biting all on its own. spy vs spy was good. there were funny send ups of tv shows, which were puerile themselves back in the 70s. the foldouts were often funny, especially the one that when folded in, showed a young female derriere with a tramp stamp, then folded out to show the usually logical extension of a lifetime of weight gain along with a morphing tat. kind of a cautionary tale… / kids entertainment can be rebellious and sick at times. if managed as a phase, not an issue.
