Vox Day is talking about declining birth rates. There’s something I noted a while ago. The Spartans had the freest Women in all of Greece. Maybe anywhere at that time. They really only had one overriding duty, to have children. They did not and the Spartans were defeated not because the Men failed in their duty but because they ran out of Spartans. The Men to the end carried on their really horrible life crushing training and duties. This reminds me of marriage today. Men are obligated by marriage but Women have zero obligation in marriage today. No wonder the marriage rate is collapsing. If Men did not love Women so much zero people would get married in the West.

It was also too easy to drop out of Citizenship as a Spartan. So that didn’t help.
As for having children. It shouldn’t be so much an obligation but a joy. Genuinely healthy lovemaking(Proverbs 5, Song of Solomon) should lead to more children in most cases.
If the poor didn’t have a problem reproducing because they are in tune with their instincts like their Libido. Why not the Wealthier unless the Wealthier were sodomites. Or somehow suffer from deficient Libido. Or out of touch with their own bodies.
Or used to Contraception.

“…In the Long Run they were outdone Militarily by Thebes…”

That statement gives the impression that militarily they somehow failed. The Spartans that were left, no. No they were out manned. Outnumbered. Look at the numbers. It’s definitive. They were a fraction of their former population.

Now their system was a living hell for the Men. But it worked. Politically they were extremely similar to our system which is not a surprise as ours was based on parts of theirs. The system was balanced much like ours with overlapping powers. It’s my belief that if they would have just had more children that they would have survived.

Mike Benz “The CIA drug running operation started in the 1930s…
Someone may have been running drugs in the 30s (recalling most were legal until 1906 or so; marijuana until 1937 or so) but it wasn’t the CIA (formed after WWII). So until proven otherwise, Mike Benz is considered untrustworthy.

Blame the headline writer. He actually says it was the War Department followed later by the OSS flying drugs into China in the 1930s.

If you listen to the interview, he made it clear the War Department ran the illegal drug trade in the 1930s. The CIA took it over in the late 1940s. However, he contends the Department of Defense has remained involved up to today, mostly providing transportation and security.

His hinted and implied the people in the CIA and Department of Defense who run the drug trade might pose the most dangerous opposition to Trump.

CIA went through a lot of name changes and adjustments. The claim was the operation for smuggling drugs started in the 1930s. If this operation was continuous and eventually landed under the CIAs purview then I would consider the claim valid. And in fact he said just that, its started under the war department is what he said. So you misrepresented what he said. Was that intentional or are you just stupid?
There were also a number of restrictions on various drugs, notably opium, during the period which would make smuggling lucrative. So that claim is wrong too.
Tom235 is a lot less trustworthy than mike benz it would seem. At minimum he doesn’t show much diligence in ensuring his claims are accurate.

so the choice of 235 in the name is interesting. In the chakra system of spiritual development, whether or not 4th ray is developed is critical to what path a person is on. If they are what we would all consider on the positive path then it gets developed just as much as any other ray. But for the evil dickbags, they skip 4th ray because it more or less equates to empathy and understanding of others, and you can’t be an evil dickbag if you understand how your actions are causing harm.

I just bring this up because choosing a screen name like this could be considered a sort of dog whistle for showing off he is an evil dickbag.

Pedant point. At least with the United States, the Department of War was renamed into the Department of the Army, not the Department of Defence. The Department of Defence absorbed the Department of War (army and air force) and the Department of the Navy when it was created in the 1940s, with the air force split off into a separate sub-department from the army.

Now “Department of Defence” is a PR name, but I think the rectification of names should be about replacing PR names with neutral and/ or descriptive names, not other types of PR names. So the Department of Defence should be the Department of the Armed Services, and the Department of Homeland Security should be the Department of the Security Services, which are neutral and descriptive of their actual functions.

Department of War is neutral and descriptive.

Make the umbrella that covers all the services the DoW.

And while we’re making changes we need to bring back the Army Air Corps and assign it to handle Close Air Support which the Air Force refuses to give proper emphasis to.

Something’s going to happen with the pyramids. They have been seeding the culture with Egyptian god names for a while. Besides “Kek,” did you know that “Maga” is a minor Egyptian god? So are “Anti” and “Fa.” And let’s not forget “Isis” and the all-seeing eye of Horus.

suddenly seeing – like seeing it EVERYwhere – talk & rumors of LIDAR scans having discovered impossible enormous construction *under* the Great Pyramid: gigantic tubes (?), a whole bunch of them, extending downward 500-1000 meters **into the bedrock**, etc etc. has been instantly denied by famous Egyptian Archaeowhore Zahi Hawass, the Egyptian Archaeology equivalent of Alan Dulles running the Warren Commission, so I assume it’s all true. interesting times we’re living in.

oh and has anyone else noticed that pretty much all digging/archaeology at Gobekle Tepe has simply …. stopped? how very odd.

I’ve read the actual white papers, and it appears legit. These researchers have been doing this in stages, and gone back to confirm results.

The dynastic Egyptians inherited civilization from someone else. They referred to their progenitors as “gods”.

Technology is now uncovering, under the great pyramid, a truly massive complex of cyclopean architecture that boggles the mind.

The true history of this planet is largely unknown to us, but the myths and legends of the oldest civilizations all refer to deep antiquity as a time when human looking “gods”, as well as giants, walked the earth, built incredible cities, and then were largely erased in a great cataclysm that swallowed the globe, with only a few survivors left to pick up the pieces and start from scratch.

I think there is a much larger process of revealing going on now, and when the dust settles, our view of not only the U.S. and recent history, but the true history of our planet and our predecessors will be much clearer… and it will shock many of us to our core.

In Genesis 6 the “Sons of God” or Bene Elohim. The same Spiritual Beings that appeared before God in Job 1. Members of his Divine Council.
Some of them rebelled and had children by human women. And they were likely the ones who made Humanity at that time more technologically advanced. But because they multiplied Wickedness. God flooded the World.

Let me just say first that the CIA hasn’t needed sources of revenue outside what was available from DC for a very long time, if they ever did. And, I doubt they ever did.

Drug-running was never a source of income for the CIA, it was running drugs to run drugs.

And the scale they did and do it is far beyond any need of the agents to get rich.

Most likely, the problem the CIA faced was the usual drug-dealer problem of mountains of cash and wtf to do with all this money?

The narrative about the CIA needing cash, I think, is just cover for the real reason(s) they were running drugs and operating domestically against the populace.

And since this is Benz revealing it, I think we can assume a few things:

“Chabad” Faction wasn’t involved in these projects. And that Cabal Faction was. And also that, more general knowledge of the fact and internal acceptance of it as historical fact by the populace will aid “Chabad” in its struggle against Cabal (which I/we share).

I’m agnostic as to which jewish Faction (“Chabad” or Cabal) did 9/11 and Oct 7. But, if Benz goes after either of those happenings and “exposes” them, I’ll feel confident it wasn’t “Chabad”. Note: Netanyahu clearly knew about 9/11 before hand. But, that might have just been knowledge.

So, Benz is a good indicator of which hijinks were Cabal and which were “Chabad”. He’ll gatekeep “Chabad” ops and expose Cabal ops.

This “Chabad” or Cabal is huge crock of shit. All you need to know is 99.9% of the time the Jews are not your friends and if they can get away with it are toxic to us. Sure there’s the 0.1% that are good but they’re not worth sorting out from the rest.

I obv disagree. And, I don’t think you understand my position.

I am not engaged in some effort to find “good jews”. Far from it. I’m also not a nominalist. I think you spell out how the concept “the Jews” is properly used. And I agree. “The Jews” has meaning and it covers both “Chabad” and Cabal.

I personally want a “sicut judaeis non” policy of total embargo on all dealings with them by Christians. Just 100% ignore them and leave them alone. I would very much like to have a single damn day where their tricks aren’t something I have to think about.

But that’s obv not the world we live in, Sam. The Jews refuse to be ignored and have the power to make us interact with them. And we will have to today and tmw and for a good time longer yet.

And because I and we have to interact with them, I prefer to understand what I have to deal with and how they operate and what they are trying to achieve.

I think one is better able to deal with the reality on the ground (we have to interact with The Jews) and work towards a time where that reality is changed (we can have nothing to do with The Jews) if one understands and sees them clearly.

Again, you’re right. I agree. But, we have a President who is up to his ears in Jews. They run the media and the banks and the Universities. We have to interact with them on a daily basis dude whether we want to or not.

Serious question, Sam. Do you use the “crock of shit” line in real life and face to face with people? Specifically, if you are discussing something with someone and they say something about an issue do you tell them what they’ve said is a “crock of shit” if you disagree?

I understamd, there are levels of disagreement possible. Assume, that a statwment you hear in real life rises to the “crock of shit” level. Do you tell tjem that what they’ve said is a “crock of shit”?

This might seem purely rhetorical or retaliatory, but it’s not. I like your posts and you seem a decent sort. But in my life the only ppl who have ever used phrases towards what I have said like “that’s a crock of shit” have been Jewish. Specifically, NYC lawyers and Finance types. They use that sort of talk interpersonally routinely.

Do you think calling things a “crock of shit” is “no nonsense rubber meets the road salt of the earth” stuff?

Were you trying to insult me? I know technically you said the idea (mine) was a “crock of shit” and not that I was a “crock of shit”. But still.

“…Serious question, Sam. Do you use the “crock of shit” line in real life and face to face with people?…”

I have, yes. Depends on situation. If I feel what they pushing is “a crock of shit” then I say so. The reason I said so is that I se all this “Chabad and Cabal” nonsense as just a very, very ,very, very, very long line of the Jews saying, well it’s not these Jews, it’s those other Jews. Or it’s the Phoneticians, or the Payseurs, or British or the whatever nonsense that the Jews can cook up.

It’s a DIRECT gas-lighting, information destroying tactic. They have used this frequently. It’s nothing but a smoke and mirrors attempt to make people believe that “somehow” that there’s some good group of Jews that are not causing all this trouble. It’s an attempt to draw people into arguing over which Jews are doing what instead of THE PROBLEM which is, “Jews” period. Even if there are some decent Jews, and I will submit there’s a few, there’s not enough good ones nor are the good ones in any way making any effort to stop the bad. And after decades of Jews lecturing White people on how we should deport ourselves I think it’s damn well time they do a little moral deportmenting themselves and if they do not ,then to hell with the whole lot of them. I suspect, very, very, strongly that if the Jews could murder everyone on the planet but Jews there would be little to no push back from the “good” Jews. I’ve become tribal like them and it;s their fault. All of them. I see what they have done and the only way to fight this is to become tribal like them.

Excuse me if I have no enthusiasm for you using the tactics of the Jews and feel that it is, and it is, a crock of shit. I might add you may talk about this a little but I have several thousand years of direct, verified evidence that what you are going on about is of no consequence in the big scheme of things. Maybe you can show me several thousand years of evidence for “Chabad and Cabal”. If you can, then maybe, but not likely, I’ll retract what I said.

The Jews bag of tricks is not that big. it;s a bit wide but it not very deep. When I see these I disagree with them. I’m not saying your a Jew, maybe you are maybe not, but there’s no doubt you are using their strategy that they use to confuse people and get away with further destruction of societies. And BTW I know it’s tough to hear someone say, “crock of shit” but it’s not nearly as bad as what the Palestinians have to deal with with our tax money being paid to firebomb their Women and children. It’s not nearly as bad as all the Christians being murdered in Gaza and now Syria. It’s not nearly as bad as the myriad of funds taken from us to sponsor, train and fund terrorist groups all over the world. it;s not nearly as bad as what we recently heard about viral warfare the CIA has been doing. There’s much worse things.

Good Jews…
Sam, the “far right” creator of sarcastic songs, “Mr Bond,” who now sits in a German prison for around 20 years, included these words in one of his songs:
.
“And if you still think there’s some good in the Jew, maybe another Holodomor should happen to you.”
.
There is a Mr. Bond music archive on Telegram. Some outrageously good, some just ho hum. Easy to see that much of it would appeal to the younger set, though.

I doubt he will either. But I don’t draw conclusions based on what a Chabad voice doesn’t say. So, personally, I don’t take that as an admission. I take seriously what they gate-keep and what they push. For me, gate-keeping is an admission. What they push is what they are uninvolved in and what Cabal has done.

Fwiw, I do not think Chabad is a major player in the domestic stasi. But, idk. They could be.

“…Fwiw, I do not think Chabad is a major player in the domestic stasi…”

This is exactly what I’m talking about. Several times you have tried to separate Jews actions into this group or that group and pretend that they are desperate. I don’t believe this for a minute. You have been going on and on and on about this “Chabad and Cabal” nonsense. It appears to me you are either wittingly or unwittingly, trying to confuse people. And I have not said a damn word about this but it began to grate on me so much I finally said exactly what I thought about what appears to be just another gas-lighting, confusion tactic.I think it’s a crock of shit.

Now to clarify, because I know someone will say this,”but it’s not all Jews”, no it’s not, but they have spent decades putting people in charge that will do what they wish. They are the root of the tree of evil.

‘AC this is the guy that said the sandy bridge architecture in intel chips had included a backdoor cell phone circuit 2g so you never were really offline, and all since them have been so compromised, he was an amd booster for a while because of that.

JS backstory, I read long ago when his site was up and not being serially banned all over. That went real hard after he took his photog site and converted all of the sample pics people would link to and stuck in the story about the refugee camp, remember his site was his name freelance dot…

He started with the time in the great white north, being convinced to convert so going to one temple for lessons etc.

The temple across the road would come over for some bodies to make a quorum, essentially, and because he had become part of the scenery for a good while at the other side of the road, he got read into the report given by a visitor. They first had asked if all were good here, one pointed him out but others said he was a long time one of them, then he got the low-down. He was never going to think the same after that moment.

I don’t recall how he got separated from that group, but remember how he had been accosted by one of them and got poisoned somehow, like an aerosol projector, and also got poisoned by something put on the steering wheel or similar inside his vehicle. That his wife was a medical person, was able to slowly get him back from a horrible time.

Another time he posted of the escape from here to mexico where he saw the moonlight glint off some helmets outside his yard, this while he was approaching from afar and realized he was going to get the cooper treatment, bailed with what was in his pockets and set up shop south of the border where he said the popo were not too inclined to help harass, but they have infiltrated the area around him and many things went bad for him ever since, including turning his wife against him.

My general opinion as to California is that after based Pete Wilson put forward Prop 187, the GOP (run 100% by the Bush Faction) abandoned the state and worked to support the CA GOP destruction in retaliation.

I’m pretty sure they entered into a grand-bargain with the DEMs to create agreed upon the fiction that there are “red states” and “blue states” which divide the nation close to 50/50 all the time.

This historically aberrational fiction allows them to horse-trade outcomes and arrange the USGov as they like.

If, DJT has 100% control of GOP that arrangement is off and we should see the end of “red” and “blue” states and “firewalls” and BOTH parties having to put forward Nationally viable platforms. A thing they used to do but stopped doing some point post Pete Wilson.

It’s amazing that neither the GOP or DEMs even bother to put forward political platforms that could win on any level in un-rigged elections.

That’s really all DJT did. He just put forward a viable National Political Platform (Nixonian).

And, the Dems refused to counter with their own, and still do. Which they could, Nixonian is my thing but there are viable alternatives.

Anyway, bug-house LaRouche was right again: the Party system is retarded and should end.

I am so curious, who is in that earpiece? Are they in a massive auditorium, the focal point of ten to twelve worker bees monitoring her speech and interactions, and doing live research on the spot to make her look informed? Is it just one dude in a cubicle deep underground, in a warehouse sized room of thousands of them, each operating a member of Congress, or the courts, or celebrities, or new reporters, or talking heads, or other prominent people? How do they get recruited? There are interesting secrets hidden here, I can feel it.

User Steve Morris posted on ystdy’s news about Socrates thinking the written word ruining ppls minds.

Idk if “ruining” is the right word. But, the great Millman Perry proved that prior to the written word (illiteracy) ppl had eidetic memories. To the extent that compositions the length of the Iliad or the Odyssey were commonly and routinely memorized word for word. And that these word for word memorizations were not altered over time by any mechanical or psychological deficiencies.

So yeah, we’ll lose out if AI continues the descent into the sub-literacy that we see now. But, if AI results in total illiteracy, we may see a return of eidetic memory. Idk. Seems like the goal is maximal sub-literacy.

The King offering “associate membership” is wild (if true!). The Devil is in the Details but DJT (prob via his mother) has a strong attraction to the English Monarchy.

Myself, the whole Monarchy vs Parliament and City of London is totally opaque to me. I just don’t know. I hope the Monarchy works contra London but hard to say. That’s the purpose of the Monarchy after all. They’re German too so that plays in for DJT.

The King is heavily heavily into “Guenonian” network and world-view. Guy is supposed to be simple-minded. Idk. But, he legit thinks he is an adept and above/beyond any specific religions. He’s prob the Chakravartin (World Monarch) in his head.

Vox Day linked to Unz on the authorship of the Shakespearean cannon..

Bruce Charlton has his usual killer poast on the subject. He argues as I long felt, that it was one dude because the “genius” required is a non-calculable event. In effect, “Shalespeare” was so far beyond normal human capacity that it is probabale some “nobody” was choaen by God as no education or “breeding” can explain it.

http://charltonteaching.blogspot.com/2025/03/shakespeare-revisited.html

I used to think this. And, it is still internally consistent and possible. But, I have come to believe that there is a world-historically massive denial of resources and denial of communication happening. And, that it has been going on since at least Shakeapeare’s time.

I think “Shakespeare” was a group of ppl (Inns of Court) who were simply allowed to operate at normal human efficiency. They were the cream-of-the-crop.but far from non-calculable geniuses.

I believe we can have that kind of thing often if the obstacles of Cabal are removed.

The lengthy Unz article is worth reading:

https://www.unz.com/runz/american-pravda-who-wrote-shakespeares-plays/

I wasn’t planning to put in my two cents, but I will try to summarize the controversy.

The Shakespearian plays were promoted as the height of English literature, along with the sonnets, as a British imperialism propaganda project during the Victorian era. Before then, the plays were thought to be good, but not the best stuff written ever. Quite a few well regarded authors, including Mark Twain, refused to go along with this.

Somewhat different is whether the plays and sonnets can be attributed to a Warwickshire business man named William Shakspear (yes, as Unz pointed out, he spelled his name Shakspear, not Shakespeare). William Shakspear does seem to have been a London actor, and he probably was the main producer of the plays.

The authorship problem is that the first definitive edition of the plays was the First Folio published by Ben Johnson and attributed to “William Shakespeare”, who has been identified with William Shakspear of Stratford. The first folio was published two decades after Shakspear’s death. About half a dozen of the plays it contained were first published in the first folio, and there is no record of written copies beforehand. Others were first published anonymously, and only attributed to “Shakespeare” in the first folio. The Spanish ambassador did write a letter attributing about half the plays to “Shakespeare”. Identification of “Shakespeare” as the author relies heavily on Johnson’s word.

The sonnets were published during Shakspear’s lifetime, but after he retired to Stratford, and are literally really gay. They don’t have much in common with the plays.

There is not much attributed to “Shakespeare” other than the sonnets and the plays, and no letters discussing them. And its mainstream scholarship that the plays were reworkings of earlier plays, by other authors.

So the anti-stratfordians have a point, there is not much reason to attribute the plays to Shakespear of Stratford other than tradition. He seems to have been the producer of the plays, not the authors. Unz identifies Thomas North as the author, but there probably were multiple authors who published under the “Shakespeare” brand. And its reasonable to attribute the sonnets to William de Vere, Lord Oxford, since they were so gay he would want to use the “Shakespeare” name too.

The Unz article is his usual good stuff. I know the plays and the Sonnets pretty well. And am fairly familiar with the literature about authorship.

The plays were considered by whoever authored them as unimportant and frivolous, imo. There was no real effort to publish or edit or preserve them.

I think they were most lilely a working out of the ideas and concepts in the Sonnets. And were mostly entertainment.

The Sonnets aren’t actually gay. And are, in my opinion, the greatest english poetry cycle. Contrary to the plays, the author of the Sonnets cared a great deal about them and had them published in an edited edition.

It’s the same stuff as in the plays, but “on another level”. It is so brilliant, in my opinion, that the author(s) of the Sonnets would have been capable of just dashing off a play like Coriolanus or MacBeth in a week or so. This is hard to believe for ppl who haven’t spent time with the Sonnets, but it is pretty much an obvious conclusion.

The Sonnets seem to me of unitary authorship. Probably. Likely. So that still has me thinking “Shakespeare” could have been one person. But the ideas in the Sonnets aren’t 1:1 with the plays and over-lap mostly with some. So, I guess I think the author of the Sonnets was the most brilliant of the group behind “Shakespeare”.

The plays of “Shakespeare” are not only remarkable for knowledge of the aristocracy and Royalty of Europe. They’re remarkable for the knowledge of everything they concern. And they concern a lot. The Law. The military. Roman history. Greek history. The Celts. The Germans. The Normans. Economics. Monetary policy. Literature. The occult. Linguistics. Cryptography etc etc and it is all at the level of a lifetime of immersion in each area.

I think we come to the point where we either say this is the product of a non-calculable genius who could skim a book on a subject and understand the subject at the master level. Or talk to an expert in discipline X casually a few times about X and do the same. Or, we day it was a group of the English elite who actually ran things using the name “Shakespeare” for each of their own products.

The first is still possible as far as I am concerned. But, the second seems more likely to me now.

PS the variant name issue is not really an issue. The spellings were phonetic and ppl often used variants for themselves and others then.

yeah, but – having read the Unz article, the WS scholars all seem to be unanimous in saying the plays spotlighted detailed and exactly correct knowledge of fairly arcane European/Italian/Danish geography, royal court/diplomatic protocols, etc., which is why they’re all so big on “Shakspere” couldn’t have written most of them because A) he wasn’t nobility so how could he know all that stuff B) he never left the country so how could he know all that stuff C) per his will, he evidently had no books, so how could he know all that stuff.

as for WS being “a group of people”…. nope. committees don’t produce off-the-charts transcendent genius, never have never will.

I guess I wasn’t clear. I don’t think the plays were primarily a collaboratikn by committee as you seem to say.

I think “Shakespeare” was something like “Monty Python” or “Pink Floyd” or “Miles Mathis”. I actually think it was precisely like “Monty Python” and “Miles Mathis”. More like “Miles Mathis” than “Monty Python” though.

There were a group of intellectual elites who were running things in England who liked to write plays and poetry and all used “Shakespeare” as their pen-name. They probably read each others stuff and gave suggestions but that’s about it.

It’s a very English kind of thing. They were goofing on themselves and tricking everyome and saying serious things. Thousands of in-jokes prob only 20 ppl were meant to get. And they were teasing outsidets with glimpses of the actual history and actual workings of the gov.

The plays are the occulted record of the ideas circulating in the English elite.

> King Charles is reportedly preparing to offer the United States associate membership in the Commonwealth

That would be a good deal for Britain, but I don’t see where it benefits the United States.

Churchill tried to get FDR to sign America into the Commonwealth, nattering on about it for years, and Roosevelt just blew him off. Which was the correct thing to do, though unexpected.

If the offer happens, I suspect it would be driven by reaction to Don’s tariff plans. Canada is a major member of the Commonwealth, and they stand to lose a lot, since the balance of trade is in Canada’s favor. Britain itself runs at a slight trade deficit with the US.

The original plan for the Commonwealth involved eventually removing tariffs between Commonwealth members. But that became… complicated… since most of the Commonwealth countries were poor as church mice, and unregulated free trade would completely destroy what was left of Britain’s post-WWII economy. Britain learned that exporting your industry to poorer countries is the same as shooting yourself in the foot. Unfortunately, the United States didn’t learn from Britain’s expensive example.

In 2025, the Commonwealth is little more than a cultural exchange program and sports regulating body. Unlike the original plan, Commonwealth membership isn’t worth much.

Most people have heard of the British Commonwealth – well, technically “The Commonwealth of Nations” – but don’t know France has an equivalent: Organisation internationale de la Francophonie. It has twice as many countries as the British one. Some countries, like Canada, are members of both.

Just noting here that this is mostly true.

After the Boer War, the Colonial Secretary at the time, Joseph Chamberlain, floated the idea of converting the British empire into a trade federation, where trade would be free within the empire but there would be tariffs outside of it. The main problem was that “free trade” had become a doctrine among British elites, who threw a temper trantrum and threw out the government considering the idea. There was a secondary problem is that the dominions Chamberlain wanted to favor mainly exported food, and it was cheaper for the British to import grain from the United States and Argentina than from Canada and Australia.

But in 1931 the idea was revived and implemented successfully. The empire also converted into a Commonwealth, meaning the parts became more self governing, but linked as a trade bloc, with the parts with white majorities such as Canada and Australia becoming effectively independent countries, with a few links to Britain.

During World War II, the FDR and the United States made the Commonwealth dismantle the trade bloc, and fold it into the American trade and financial system, in return for bailing them out in the war against Germany.

There’s a more innocent explanation: NASA is a media whore, and they have a half-century-plus history of “enhancing” images from orbital and planetary probes, and at least a few times, trying to pass off paintings as real images.

Enhancing a splashdown video would be completely believable. Remember, NASA’s primary mission is to secure next year’s appropriations; they will do almost anything to accomplish that. Sometimes, even their jobs.

You can buy commodity still cameras with enhancement software already built in. I’m sure some video cameras have it. And there’s nothing stopping the PR office from running it through Photoshop to add some “zing!”
