Regarding the AI in cars tool;
I was recently in a work meeting via one of the big platforms, and afterward I received a “summary” from a new AI plug-in the organizer had used.
So this plug-in, which is probably very low tech compared to what is really out there, takes in the audio of your call and provides a summary report of the meeting and what was said, and by whom.
Much less file storage to keep a text file of recorded audio than the actual audio file.
Just extrapolating that out to a surveillance tool capability…yeah…

Actually, it was bought. I thought a month or so ago, but apparently time is flying.
I think what happens is people monitor what domains others are searching for, then buy them hoping to sell them to you. I’ve seen that with my own name over the years. I’ve searched for my name as a domain, seen it available, then come back later and somebody else registered it. A year later, I’d check and it was available again, but if I hesitated it was bought. About ten years ago, I finally bit the bullet and registered it myself before a squatter could move in.
Yeah, when I saw AmericanStasi.com I jumped on it fast, because I assumed that was the case.
Oddly enough, the fact I had found it on a search on one registrar site locked it up across multiple registrars instantly. It turns out that is a mechanism they have to prevent two people from simultaneously buying the same domain at the same moment. Once you search it, it is locked for 15 or 20 minutes.
Found out how favoritism was alive and well, since a “registrar” can buy a name and if it doesn’t re-sell to the Eric type unfortunates that got squatted out of his own name, they can release the name for 100% refund in something like 5 business days with no fee loss, so like buying stocks with a 5 day money back guarantee so how can you lose, but with a high gain at no risk, huh? There should have been a “restocking fee” in the law, but can’t penalize some big company using industrial computing efforts to glean from us peons, look up “Chesterton Holdings” the cybersquatter clearinghouse that bit plenty of fellows like us. Loads of comments about this scam, but we aren’t part of the “Privy Council” that craps on everyone else.
.com is one of many top-level domains. .net and .org are well-known but there is a vast array of top-level domains now. Infogalactic is not as complete as Wikipedia but just reading down the list I see .exposed. americanstasi.exposed?
Also, there are country code top-level domains. Like .us. How about .ac? That has a certain ring to it. americanstasi.ac?
Just because these alternative exist does not mean they are available to you because there are companies which manage the registration and they will often have restrictions. But the list is long. And there even ways to create alternatives. Some may well be robust depending on the situation of the registrar.

.com, and most but not all other TLDs, allow you to use WHOIS privacy services so that you don’t register any publicly visible personal information. Unfortunately .us is an exception.
It may be possible that there are some pseudo-privacy services for .us domains, but not through the well-known registrar that I’ve used for domains I’ve purchased. I even hopped on their customer support line to confirm that WHOIS privacy was not an option for .us, disappointingly.
This is good stuff. Personally, I buy mostly unbranded stuff. I don’t like big logos, big graphics, or words on anything I wear, unless it’s subdued. But I’m okay with small logos, like on the side of the chest or an emblem, if it represents something I believe in.
Other ideas:
Something like an agency emblem (perhaps with text on the inside circumference of the emblem like your “AMERICAN STASI”, AC), with the text “TARGET OF INTEREST” in all caps underneath, kind of like a shirt a fed or cop might wear.
Just “TARGET OF INTEREST” in all caps.

Not entirely. Western Romans were pussies at the end, and unarmed. They wouldn’t defend their government because they knew it was corrupt.
