Rubio wants to shoot Russian jets out of the sky:
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) has declared in a little-noticed TV interview that the United States should go to war against Russia, merely to block a flood of Muslim immigrants that can otherwise be stopped by a few European border guards.
Rubio wants to create a “No Fly” zone over Syria to prevent the Syrian air force from bombing rebel and civilian targets. Any Russian sortie into the no-fly-zone would be “no different than any other adversary,” Rubio said Oct. 5 in a CNBC interview.
Fiorina wants to use force on Russia:
“I believe we must tell the Russians that we will conduct [and] we will secure a no-fly zone around anti-Assad rebel forces that we’re supporting,” she said on Fox News’s “Hannity…”
“… if it does come to that, I think we must be prepared,” the former Hewlett-Packard CEO added.
Anybody who is prone to fight themselves views fighting through that paradigm of personal experience. They will see themselves having to carry out the order to go to battle, and that will give them pause.
Rabbits lack that circuitry. Fighting consists of giving orders and then seeing the free resources of easy victory handed to you. It also tends to involve an amygdala that can’t see negative outcomes prone to arise due to an impetuous course of action.
I would love to see a study of people who supported use of force against Russia vs those opposed to it, comparing how many schoolyard fights each side had engaged in, or how much military service was present on each side of the argument. My guess is those who would most easily deploy impersonal force probably have never dealt with the consequences and risks of deploying force themselves personally. It is lack of amygdala development, pure and simple.

do they even consider what the US did in Syria or the other mid east countries. the Russians are just doing the same, protecting their asset. in fact Russia is more legitimate in Syria then the US is by any international standard.
Russia is trying to defend a UN designated country and the US is trying to destroy a UN designated country.

I think Rand is acting strategically, looking for something that can be used, more than acting in a way that shows underlying principles or psychology.
