Millennials Don’t Wear Condoms?

This is a problem with generalizing:

A new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found a recent spike in STIs such as chlamydia (up nearly 6 percent since 2014), gonorrhea (up nearly 13 percent) and syphilis (up 19 percent) among young people.

A 2015 CDC study found that condom use among sexually active high schoolers dropped from 63 percent in 2003 to 57 percent in 2015. A study that same year by Skyn condoms found that 48 percent of millennials use condoms “never” or “rarely.”

Gay men such as Ben, a 29-year-old designer based in Hell’s Kitchen, say the rise of PrEP — a pill that helps prevent HIV infection — coupled with the fact that young gay men didn’t live through the AIDS epidemic of the ’80s, has made his peers more nonchalant about STIs and less inclined to use condoms.

If you over generalize you begin to fail to accurately describe what is going on within the system. Millennials are not failing to use condoms. A subset of millennials, made up of innate rabbits who are going increasingly r (and gays), are failing to use condoms. As a whole, the entire body of millennials are going K, but the subset who were always prone to promiscuity are seeing increasing deterioration of amygdalae, and it is eroding their long term planning, and their ability to sacrifice short-term pleasures for long-term safety and success.

In a way, this is a microcosm of our larger political world. K’s are rising in overall percentages, and the K’s are becoming more K, even as the shrinking r-selected side of society is growing more r, less able to tolerate stress, and less willing to sacrifice short-term pleasure for long term success. That is why we are so much more polarized today, even as the right is rising, compared to say the fifties, when the right was just as powerful, but the left was far less radical.

If you look at it from the larger perspective, the irredeemable r’s are the cursed. Behind all of this is the reality. Free resources cannot go on forever, and more free they are now, the more restricted they will be later. Eventually, you will need to be able to forestall immediate pleasure for survival later. Those innate rabbits who can not adapt will not do well.

The reviewers on this page were blown away by r/K Theory. Will you be?

It’s true. They just ask: do you have an STI? and they believe the other person. And even if they don’t have an STI, women have a lot of yeast infections because of contraception and things and men can get yeast infections in their urethrae, also who would believe a random person you’re whoring around with? It’s the underclass though, and let’s be honest, the underclass is spreading. The middle class worships being trash and underclass and savage. Degeneration, what.
