“For one thing, there is not much substantive evidence that male role models are decisive in healthy boys’ development,” Michael Kimmel writes in the December 15, 2017 issue of The Chronicle of Higher Education. “They might be nice to have, but the male role model–the elementary-school teacher, the father, the stern but supportive coach–by himself, as a single variable, doesn’t really have much of an independent effect on a boys development.”
“And that’s why single moms, lesbian moms, female teachers, and female coaches can provide exactly what boys need to develop a healthy identity.”
Even as research shows single moms routinely have higher rates of criminality among offspring. Notice how this is kind of like competing without competing. He is imploring others to do things which will render them failures. Feminists do the same things, when they tell pretty young girls to eschew makeup, engage in promiscuity, and reject commitment to family. This is a competitive strategy for losers who are trolling with bad ideas to defeat those who are too stupid to ignore them.
This is also an outgrowth of narcissism. A good way to spot a narcissist is to place him in the company of unquestioningly superior individuals. Take a potential narcissist to a martial arts club filled with blackbelts, and you can spot the discomfort he will immediately exhibit. Drop him among a group of military vets, and you will see the same thing. Narcissist insecurity is set off the charts by such exposures to superior individuals.
A lot of r-selection is narcissism. NPD may just be a highly r-selected psychology, designed to out-consume in an environment of free resources. So even as this professor is trying to portray the classic feminization of men in r-selection as superior, I suspect there is also the element of reinforcing his own false reality, where such superior men are out-grouped by the population which will reject their offers of mentorship.
Leftism is evil incarnate, and every facet of it is designed to destroy a society as well as the lives of anyone stupid enough to believe what they assert.

The father had a vision of a world where nobody wears clothes but everyone just goes around in the buff, having random sex with every other person regardless of age or sex. He seemed sincerely surprised when there was a public outcry in response to his diddling of toddlers.

Is there even a male role model left worthy of that title. All my life i just saw dads being fat slobs, unworthy to breathe air, and schools staffed with neurotic female catladies, and degenerates in police uniforms protecting a childfucker circus from the actions of better people. So whats going on in the mind of an academic who even concideres Schoolteachers for this role. We don’t have male role models since they outlawed duelling, because since then every man is a subject to an institution that will micromanage his most personal issues. And the Heros of our past were what today would be called a psychopath.

Either Jayman or Razib posted something to the effect that the research indicates this is mostly genetic and not environmental. Women whose high time preference, low IQ, etc. predispose them to wind up as single moms unsurprisingly have kids with the same traits, which predispose them to criminality. I’m guessing this was determined through twin studies.
