This is a measure of what The Donald has wrought.
CNN tracked down the guy who made the GIF showing The Donald taking down CNN:
CNN sparked a backlash Tuesday night after threatening to identify the Reddit user who claimed to have created a meme of Donald Trump body-slamming the CNN logo that the president later shared on Twitter.
CNN targeted Reddit user HanAssholeSolo because he took credit for the video and apparently had a history of making racist and anti-Semitic remarks online.
CNN reporter Andrew Kaczynski opted not to identify the user “because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again.”
But Kaczynski then added that “CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change,” seemingly indicating that CNN would identify the user if he repeats his “ugly behavior” on social media. That sentence was widely interpreted as a threat.
I have to think that violated some FCC guideline, or some government regulation about media and politics, that could be used start an investigation and penalty infliction.
The interesting thing was these CNN Hosts’ responses:
ALISYN CAMEROTA: Something remarkable I thought happened yesterday. I thought it was remarkable that CNN found the Reddit user who created the gif of Donald Trump and the wrestling video and where he punches CNN. So the investigative team went back and found the guy who first created this, who took credit for it—and then here comes the remarkable part: he apologized. He apologized for having done this…
The reason that I think this is so notable, Chris Cillizza, is because this is a very full-throated, I think, genuine, honest apology. He has also asked that we not reveal his name or whereabouts and we at CNN are honoring that because he’s apologized and he thinks that he would then be in danger and at risk if other people knew his name. We get it. We understand that. So I don’t know, I just think that this is just a very interesting addendum to this whole story…
CHRIS CUOMO: When exposed and identified, he then decided —
CAMEROTA: — good enough!
CUOMO: — to apologize for multiple entries on his account that all to the same [unintelligble] of hate.
CAMEROTA: I get you. But a lot of people don’t apologize even when exposed. I just see this as a possible glimmer of hope.
This is a textbook case of how Narcissists are emboldened by any victory. Notice that before HanAssholeSolo’s apology, her amygdala was amped, she was demoralized and depressed, and her activity levels would have been suppressed. Everywhere she looked, she felt helpless and powerless. She felt totally impotent, because nobody cared what she thought about anything. Donald ridiculed her mercilessly, and there was nothing she could do. His poll numbers went up, he won elections left and right, and when Antifa showed up they got their assed kicked by Based Stickman and his crew.
President Trump was a big part of this. Every attack he launched, every time they told everyone how horrible he was, and every time nobody cared, her depression, dejection, and demoralization increased. He just kept reinforcing the helplessness of the media.
Now, she is at the point that if she can shame one 15 year old kid over a silly internet post, she feels exhilarated. Even though it was only a child, this was a glimmer of hope for her that she could again resume bullying people again, and have some measure of control over other people. Because every other stimuli she is faced with is depressing, her amygdala will preferentially focus on this stimulus to gain relief from her angst, blowing its relevance out of proportion.
This is exactly what you do not want to give a narcissist. Yes, HanAssholeSolo was a miniscule cog in the massive online right that is behind Trump. Yes, from a logical standpoint scaring him with doxing was meaningless. Yes, this may have been the easiest path for him. But if he had told CNN to go fuck itself, or better yet had a lawyer lay a letter on them threatening to sue everyone involved if he was doxed, while ridiculing the media, that would have maintained the pressure and kept her demotivated.
If they doxed him and the online right made him a millionaire overnight, that would have worked too.
So even though scaring a 15 year old Kid on the internet was the most pathetic of wins, to a demoralized narcissist it was huge. Now she feels exhilarated, and it will take some measure of being beaten down by the God Emperor to get her back in her demotivated, depressed state of loser-dom, where she will minimize her expenditures on attacking the right.
This is why when you deal with a narcissist, you pick your battles, and only fight where you will win. You never give the narcissist any feeling like they have won, because if they get that, and they think you are bothered by it, they will be back soon to try and get that little high again.
Like the narcissist leftist media, narcissists are never fun to deal with. But you can put them in a box by depressing them and demoralizing them. You just have to focus yourself on never letting them feel that any victory they attained mattered, or that they have exerted any level of power or potency. Any success they have must be ridiculed, and portrayed as meaningless, so even their win will trigger their insecurities and demotivate them to continue with their shitbaggery.

anyone caught being a leftist spends a night in the box
It’s actually worse than you think. The entire “genuine apology” was in fact a trolling. CNN staffers’ narcissistic vision of themselves prevented them from seeing it.
Example 1: “I have the highest respect for the journalist community and they put their lives on the line every day with the jobs that they do in reporting the news” was quoted in CNN’s own article!
The narrative is strong with these ones! It’s possible that CNN’s staff might actually think that the “warrior” in SJW is a complement.
Example 2: “If you have a problem with trolling it is an addiction just like any other addiction… don’t be embarrassed to ask for help.” CNN printed that, too.
They may have faked the doxing, or we may be witnessing an “I am Spartacus!” reaction:

Either is a grab the popcorn situation…
HanAssholeSolo should have just started making more memes right after CNN reported. We can all learn from President Trump. Just be a relentless, motivated SOB that doesn’t take it from anybody.
Exactly.
He wasn’t 15. That was fake news floated by the rat-like animal Jack Posobiec.
I don’t know for a fact he wasn’t 15, and clearly CNN would look much worse if he was.
I will say the apology had the feel of a parent who took over a kid’s account, and said whatever it took. That and HanAssholeSolo has the feel of a teen’s name.
“…history of making racist and anti-Semitic remarks…”
From what I understand the ant-Semitic, I prefer anti-Jew, thing he posted was a poster showing all the top people at CNN were Jews. Interesting they consider it hate to advertise who they are.
