Leftists Don’t Mix With Free Speech

Police ask Missouri students to report hurtful speech:

The Missouri University Police Department (MUPD) sent an email to students Tuesday morning urging them to call them and report any hurtful speech they encounter on the campus.

In an email that was flagged by several Missouri-based journalists, the MUPD asked “individuals who witness incidents of hateful and/or hurtful speech or actions” to call the department’s general phone line “to continue to ensure that the University of Missouri campus remains safe.” They suggest that students provide a detailed description of the offender, their location or license plate number, and even to take a picture if possible.

In the email, MUPD readily admits that hurtful or hateful speech is not against the law. But, they write, “if the individuals identified are students, MU’s Office of Student Conduct can take disciplinary action.”

So much for colleges being bastions of free speech and debate. It is amazing. This is the same neurological mechanism which produced the Holocaust. It is neurotic idiots who can’t mentally tolerate any opposition, even the rhetorical. These idiots are same morons who could one day order the roundup to fill the camps because the opposition is just too much to take, and the University administration is exhibiting the same psychological mechanism which produced the German soldiers who were “just following orders.” We are watching this historical spectacle in real time, and who knows – it could go just as far as it did under the Nazis. This is exactly how it starts.

Again, overly sensitive amygdalae are the problem. Apocalypse is the solution. Once it becomes an unimaginable stroke of good luck to get from home to work and back without enduring a couple of bullet holes from marauding savages, what somebody said will be much less troubling. Delta Force shooters who’ve played where the bullets were buzzing around like bees don’t sweat this crap. Ironically, the civilized whose amygdalae adapt to the apocalypse will get along much better, even amidst the chaos. That is good, because they will need to unite to eradicate the rabbits.

Bring the apocalypse. I’m tired of waiting.
