Even leftists see why Trump would think the intel agencies are out to get him:
Actually, they were. “It’s no mystery why Trump doesn’t trust U.S. intelligence agencies,” Bloomberg’s Eli Lake wrote last month. “As the old saying goes: Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not out to get you. Trump understandably believes the intelligence agencies are out to get him…”
Michael Morell stayed out of politics when he served as the CIA’s No. 2 official…
Until Trump…
“I was so deeply concerned about what a Trump presidency might look like from a national security perspective, and believed that there was such a gap between Secretary Clinton and Donald Trump with regard to how well they would protect the country, that I thought it extremely important to come out and say that,” Morell told Glasser.
Some of Morell’s former colleagues in the intelligence community took the same step. Gen. Michael Hayden, a former CIA director, blasted Trump as Russia’s “useful fool.” Another former top CIA officer, Michael Vickers, pronounced Trump unfit. And the agency’s then-director, John Brennan, openly clashed with Trump.
… when Trump prevailed, amazingly enough, he thought the intelligence agencies were against him.
“Let’s put ourselves in Donald Trump’s shoes,” Morell said to Glasser. “So what does he see? Right? He sees a former director of CIA and a former director of NSA, Mike Hayden … criticizing him and his policies. Right? And he would rightfully have said, ‘Huh, what’s going on with the intelligence guys?'”
“And then he sees a former acting director and deputy director of CIA criticizing him and endorsing his opponent,” Morell continued. “And then he gets his first intelligence briefing, after becoming the Republican nominee, and within 24 to 48 hours, there are leaks out of that that are critical of him and his then-national security adviser Mike Flynn.”
“And so, this stuff starts to build, right? And he must have said to himself, ‘What is it with these intelligence guys? Are they political?’… He must have thought, ‘Who are these guys?'” Morell said. “Are these guys out to get me? Is this a political organization?”
K’s can function in an r-environment easily. They are designed for violent conditions with starvation and suffering. Living through a glut is easy, even as the rabbits strive and revel. So when a K has to operate in an r-administration, they can quietly keep their head down and do their job. While in r, K-amygdalae are not amped up enough to promote action.
r’s are not able to survive K-selection however, and as a result they panic and feel an uncontrollable urge to act out to try and stave off any K-stimuli. Notice how even though Clinton and Obama were weak and ineffectual rabbits in a world of Vladimir Putins, few former conservative intel operators came out and attacked them. However Donald Trump, arguably a leader as strong, if not stronger than Reagan, triggered massive blowback from all of the leftist intel leaders, even as he made the world safe for them.
File away that for 16 of the last 24 years, our intel leadership has been populated with hardcore SJW leftist Clintonites and Obamaites, who are so panicked by K-selection they will politicize agencies which have never been political before. They feel justified in doing anything to keep the right suppressed and maintain their own control, because their amygdalae fire up so aggressively they cannot differentiate the feeling from the worst moral cataclysm.
When judging the threats we face as the collapse closes in, that will be much more important than you would think it would be in America. The other side will obey none of the rules we take for granted, and those of them in positions of power will be coming for us.
Tell others about r/K Theory, because you need to worry about the future without it
There is only one thing the Intel guys care about: their budgets. That affects their jobs, their perks, their pensions, etc. Cordial relations with Russia is a big red flag for them. Because maybe people will start to ask why we have such huge Intel agencies? They may convince themselves that this really has to do with “protecting the homeland” but we know what it is really about.
The irony is that in an r-blowback against K only makes the K’s stronger…
Rabbits and weasels and flies, OH MY!
It also doesn’t even logically scan. How can Trump be Russia’s “useful fool” if he wants to build up US military strength? Russia wants us to have our largest Navy since Reagan and 100 new stealth bombers? If these lefty guys, most of whom failed up the ladder, can’t even think straight when times get tough then that is the real security risk. They would roll over for any potential threat, even from a position of superior strength, the competition being what scares them. It would explain all of the serious leadership blunders we’ve been making since the Cold War ended.
