I keep looking for mechanisms to understand the system impartially, but the whole system keeps coming back to a greater fight between good and evil.
Everywhere you look, what triggers leftists is whatever it is that make humanity majestic. Military, Law Enforcement, Western Civilization, the Founders, Christianity, The Constitution, Capitalism, freedom – if it has a hand in fostering greatness and success, there is an unhappy leftist group out trying to stymie it.
On the opposite side, be it criminals, illegal third world migrants, Islam, Socialism, or any other form of physical or intellectual destruction, if there is a way to wreck the greatness of man, there is a liberal there trying to support it.

Narcissists hate anyone doing better than them, but the broader r-type psychology is probably that since they’re adapted to freely available resources, they see inaccessible concentrations of resources as an aberration to the natural order. Wealthy individuals and prosperous societies need to be disrupted in order to break up what they see as logjams in the flow of resources.

This means that on some level, whether conscious or unconscious, they know that free resources are that which grants them the very possibility of life. If you take away free resources, you are taking away the very foundation of the existence of r.
Imagine if someone tried to come after the oxygen you breathe, or the water you drink, and tried to restrict your access to those foundational, life-providing things. You’d be pissed. In the same way, leftists get pissed when resources aren’t free, because for them, it is the very foundation of their existence. They also see their existence as the true, natural order, and K-selection and protectiveness over resources as being inherently evil. It’s easy to see it that way when your entire mode of existence depends on free resources, and you have been brainwashed to believe that all r-selected strategies are noble and progressive while all K-selected strategies are selfish and evil and cause suffering.
