An African-American lawyer and editor of a popular legal website is calling on all black jurors across the country to automatically vote to free any black person accused of murdering or committing a crime against a white person despite the evidence.
In-grouping/out-grouping is triggered by resource scarcity, but it is also triggered by in-grouping/out-grouping by out-groups. As a result once there is enough resource scarcity to begin to trigger it, it will then feed off itself, and rise exponentially as each group seeks to even the score with its out-groups.
I expect by the time the Apocalypse comes, there will be fairly impressive in-grouping/out-grouping on all sides, and that will affect how the populace behaves as each side tries to figure out where the resources will come from to sustain them through the shortage. If the media thinks Trump’s election is a mark of racism, wait until they see what happens when everyone is starving, and food distribution is routinely disrupted by Black flashmobs clearing out distribution centers.
If blacks began doing this jury-nullification to whites of course, whites would fully immunize all whites and cops from any consequences of shooting blacks. At that point, all you have is a free for all, which will not favor those who lack a history of imperialism and eradicating their enemies.
The problem r-strategists have is that they want to enact schemes like this, which will trigger others to take actions that will magically bring the rabbit’s enemies to their knees. But this scheme would only work in a time of r, where their enemy was willing to endure the hit and do nothing in return. If things turn K, this will ultimately accomplish nothing but to dissolve the legal framework that shields the rabbits from K-selection. Once that is gone, everybody can kill everybody freely, and the only thing that will decide who wins is who is better at eradicating their enemies.
Personally, I am not sure that wouldn’t promote increased civility.
