Liberals’ attitudes toward Muslims and immigrants became more like those of conservatives following the July 7, 2005 bombings in London, new research shows. Data from two nationally representative surveys of British citizens revealed that feelings of national loyalty increased and endorsement of equality decreased among political liberals following the terrorist attack.
Equality is a push for conflict avoidance, driven by an amygdala that is trying to avoid danger, when it thinks that danger can be avoided.
As danger arises among those conditioned to conflict avoidance, their amygdala will initially try the same old trick, seeking conflict avoidance, and a “let’s all get along” strategy. If that doesn’t work, the amygdala will be triggered, and the stress, though bothersome, will be registered. As that repeats, the stress grows with each repetition, as the amygdala develops and grows stronger at applying stress.
Eventually, the amygdala is so strong, and the stress is so great that it must be dealt with, and the amygdala will touch upon the idea of eradicating the stressor. The potential for relief will reveal itself, in-grouping and aggression will suddenly become stress relieving, and you have a K-shift.
Because r/K worked best when all the traits were linked, Darwin gradually selected for a structural foundation which housed sex, competitiveness, loyalty, disgust, anger, and rearing drives all within the same structure. Develop it through usage, and the structural changes will most often affect the entirety of the structure, and all of the r or K-strategy traits it houses all at once.
It is a brilliant mechanism, and I could not imagine a better, more providential time for this entire mechanism to come to light, and be compared to a real life K-shift in the flesh.
Apocalypse – an intellectual goldmine.

I’m somewhat pleased to read this. I had assumed that most leftist rabbits would rather sacrifice themselves, their children, and of course, us, to their delusions.
The readers comment was very astute. Screaming to high heaven that “conflict is unavoidable” and linking it to known events may just trip them. They would then go into the mode you described as get rid of the problem at any cost.
War is inevitable.
I can’t tell you how liberating it is to accept it.
