The anti-immigration Alternative for Germany (AfD) stole huge amounts of votes off the established political parties in elections in central Germany, while a small neo-Nazi party won 17 percent in one district.
Confirming polling which shows that the AfD have hugely increased their share of the vote since Germany decided to open its doors to refugees in late August 2015, the right-wing party won on average 13.2 percent of votes at local election in the central German state of Hesse on Sunday…
Up until this point the AfD has largely won votes in economically marginalized areas such as the states of former East Germany.
The AfD’s previous best election result was 12.2 percent of the vote in 2014 state elections in the eastern state of Brandenburg, one of the poorest regions in Germany…
In recent months the party’s new leadership has caused outrage by suggesting that it is acceptable to shoot at immigrants who cross into Germany illegally…
The success of the AfD was not the only result to send shock waves through the political establishment.
The neo-Nazi NPD party managed to win 17 percent in Leun, making them the third largest party in the 6,000-inhabitant town.
This is the process, and things are cooking throughout the world. Introduce threat and shortage, and that produces anger. All of it combines in the amygdala to mold the structure into a more K-form. That K-amygdala will then drive people to ally with K-leaders.
Notice the AFD exhibits such competitive aggression that it even supports shooting at migrants. Also note how the article ties the effect to economic marginalization and poverty (resource restriction), before noting it is spreading. People recognize r/K, even if they don’t know what it is, and they see that K is spreading. There is more than just migrants at play, too. There is a hidden shift toward resource restriction – not enough that anybody is starving, but enough that the rate of dopamine released compared to the rate of amygdala-stimulating work performed is diminishing, and that is affecting brain structures all over.
Meanwhile there are still rabbits:
“It’s terrifying,” Eva Högl, vice chairwoman of SPD in the national parliament, told broadcaster ARD… “Elections are way too important to teach someone a lesson – it is about forming our society and democracy.”
Not to the wolves. Once things really get underway, it will not even be about the message – it will be about the destruction of the rabbits, and any threats they support.
The continually amazing aspect is that we are seeing it now, while resources are only slightly restricted, and most of the clouds are still on the horizon. Eventually, the storm will be here, and if this minor a disquieting can produce this much K, I suspect the full apocalypse may trigger a return of mankind’s harshest psychologies of the past. There are events in our species’ past so horrific that we can barely imagine being involved in them today. Before this is over we may all find ourselves hip deep in such events, and not even understand how we ever could have been any different.
This is history in the making.
[…] K-ification Begins To Manifest In German Elections […]
“(AfD) STOLE huge amounts of votes off the established political parties in elections”. The established government are so entitled and complacent that they perceive that “their” votes were stolen. The voters do not have a vote. It is “theirs” and it was “stolen” from them.
““Elections are way too important to teach someone a lesson – it is about forming our society and democracy.” This woman is too stupid to understand her version of “our” society is being rejected. As said here so aptly simply ignoring or denying what is happening in front of their face is preferable to acknowledging the threat to their entitlement and careers.
I’m ready. Whatever it takes. Men like us were made for these times.
Same here in the UK.
