James Woods’ Nasolabial Lines

In just another measure of how disturbingly Aspie and disconnected from anything entertaining this blog has become, I was asked about James Woods’ nasolabial lines.

As a general rule when anything James Woods has been saying has been placed before me, numerous areas of my brain fire up into high gear as I ponder the genius he’s letting flow forth. The part examining nasolabial lines has not been one of those parts. So I cruised over to do an image search and even more disturbingly, discovered James Woods is an excellent example to highlight what I was talking about. So this blog continues to devolve.

The question began with my assertion that a lot of people who either go homosexual or have a history of traumatic sexual abuse seem to adopt a disgust conformation of their nasolabial lines. Another reader has pointed out that they see this as a double sided sneer of contempt, which is probably a similar emotional response, just directed at people. Before we start, I want to post a previous image comparing the nasolabial lines of Roger Goodell smiling, and Wanda Sykes smiling:

Notice how Wanda’s lines curve markedly, and there is tremendous flexion of the muscles up by the nostrils, causing the nasolabial line at that point to pull up almost horizontal, before curving back and heading down. There is also some chin flexion going on which further pulls the lines down, accentuating the curve. Goodell’s smile consists almost exclusively of muscular contractions occurring above the mouth, and his nasolabial lines are more normal by my standards.

With respect to James Woods, one example which works well here for comparison is Sean Penn. Below will be Sean Penn on one side, with a linear representation of his nasolabial lines below, and James Woods at a similar age, with a linear representation of his nasolabial lines below on the other side:

Now, when I look at this image, I am looking primarily at the nostril area. Sean Penn’s nose and mouth say to me that he is smelling something awful, and can’t stand it. I can almost feel his nostrils closing down, the opposite of flaring, as if to close off the smell. If you look closely at Penn’s nose, there are actually dimples on the outside of his nose just above each nostril, where muscles are closing off the airflow. Put your own fingers there on your own nose, and squinch your nose to close your nostrils off as if smelling something disgusting, and you will feel those muscles contract on your own nose around your nostrils. Imagine how often those muscles are contracting on Penn, that they have developed to the point that they can put visible dimples in the nose exactly where a clothespin might press, if you put it there to block out a bad smell. That is disgust, and there are people who go around all day with that switch flipped in their brain, even absent any specific stimulus precipitating it – and it contaminates and biases every thought they have, whether it is disgust-related or not. A person? Disgusting. An economic proposal? Disgusting.

It is in the rest of the face as well. Sean’s eyes are a little angry. His eyebrows are too. James just has a clearness of focus about him, but no real emotional expression.

I suspect that I am also seeing a flexing of muscles up the entire nose, perhaps closing the airway all the way up the nose, though I can’t really explain why I feel that. I look at Penn, and feel like my entire nose is flexed and braced, almost in anger like a dog snarling, while when I look at Woods, I feel as if my nose is relaxed and not even noticeable. And Penn’s chin is flexed as well, something I associate with frustration mixed with disgust/contempt, as discussed here.

James Woods has no such affect. Here is another pic of him.

As you can see, his nasolabial line actually bends in the exact opposite to a curve of disgust. This is a fun guy who out to have a great time, and bring everybody along with him.

Now it is pretty well known James Woods has Darth Vader, Use-The-Force-level Game. He is well known for zooming around in an X-Wing fighter of fame like a young Luke Skywalker, dropping nuclear penis bombs into vaginal ventilation ducts using solely the power of his mind. It is a fact which is only confirmed by his Google image search results which feature him with young hot women on red carpets all over the world. This might raise the question, what is the difference between him and somebody like Penn or Hefner, and what is that lack of a disgust line telling us about him, given this is a case of possible high sex-drive which doesn’t have the disgust line?

My general feeling of Woods is that he is not a victimizer like Hefner, or Clinton, or Weinstein, and you won’t find women talking about how he hurt them or victimized them, or how unhappy they were when they were with him. I suspect that also speaks to a more K-esque attenuation of the sex drive, to the point he can consider the feelings of others and exhibit psychological empathy. It probably also means when he approaches a young hottie, he isn’t doing so with a desire to hurt them or dominate them like Clinton or Weinstein. He wants to take everyone off on a good time, not dominate others and revel in having it better than their fucked up situation.

Which brings us to what the disgust affect really means. It is associated with hypersexuality, and extreme-r-selected-hypersexuality, aka homosexuality. But it is really a sign of something more. It is a sign of rabbitry. And at its core, rabbitry is evil.

Where gays have the disgust line, I would bet they are victimizer gays who hurt other people wantonly and care only for themselves. Where gays do not have it, I would bet there is probably something different about them compared to their evil, perpetually disgusted associates. Where you see it on heterosexuals, my bet is you will find there are likely more than a few people who got close to them who would swear they are evil incarnate. My guess is disgust lines are, in large part, a mark of disgust with the people who they meet, and that is a seed of evil.

Now disgust lines are not infallible. They can be off. I assume there are normal people who due to simple bone structure, would have such a feature to their face irrespective of who they are. But more often than not they are a good measure. And regardless, they are just triggers for suspicion, which is something you should be feeling whenever you meet new people anyway. So to the extent they trigger suspicion, they are never bad to trigger suspicion.

I like focusing on individual details like the nasolabial line, because they are flags that can trigger your suspicion during the initial meet, when a lot is going on and your amygdala is hitting the afterburner, trying to process a ton is stimuli all at once. At that moment, seeing something that triggers a pause and a recalibration of your suspicion is a useful tool. Don’t use them as absolutes, but they are a great starting point to keep you suspicious and make sure you don’t have one of these tools catch you by surprise.

Tell others about r/K Theory, because shitbaggery is written all over their faces

AHA! I get it! It looks like it’s powered by the nose. A real smile doesn’t involve those muscles.

Learning is entertainment, and vice-versa, why disturbing? Normies will never read you. Too many flags will pop. They can go watch TV.

Alternate theory: this is a default muscular position coming from either of lots of forced fake-smiling (Penn) vs lots of genuine smiling (Woods).

Paul Ekman does a lot of work in this area.

His Facial Action Coding System is expensive and tough to get into, because you sort of have to memorize all these codes for facial movements.

some of his books are more accessible. And there was a cd with the 7 universal expressions plus so-call micro-expressions- this was pretty good. I could see a company possibly improving their customer service with that.

Needless to say, knowing about this work, it was no surprise that computers could figure out who was gay. I can’t remember if it was Ekman or someone else involved in similar research, but this fact was already known in this line of research.

I have a visceral hatred for the PUA/Alpha-game promoters who celebrate men’s indulgence in the hook-up culture. To the extent that such men are chasing tail in exclusively the pool of women predisposed to squander their value on sex with cads, no harm no foul. But that is not the limit of such website authors’ ardor; sites like Heartiste do not openly eschew using the psycho-social insights of Alpha Game to pull an girl not fully predisposed to ruin herself into vice-like self-destructive casual intimacy.

If stupidly being a white knight is a mistake, so too is “gaming” an otherwise sweet girl into the sack just because you know how to play her like a violin. Such men defile the future wives of other men, and frankly I think a well-functioning society would approve putting lead into the brains of men who do so.

This leaves me ambivalent about the possibility of sort-of K-selected Alphas who bed a long line of happy-to-play-the-game girls.

I hear were you are coming from, but its sort of an arms race. Women, even conservative women are more narcissistic than they think they are. I know women who’ve said they don’t date “players”, and these guys weren’t “players” they were just a few years older (like 28 vs. 24) and a little more experienced.

Women want to settle down with a man they can control, after they’ve lived the type of lifestyle Western civ makes available. It’s a double standard and narcissistic. And beta-provider isn’t K, btw, because in the environment we are in its akin to cuckery. Heartiste makes these points, women will always try to control, its a natural way to guarantee resources. It’s kind of a massive societal shit test of “Well, why didn’t you stop us?”. This is why the first revolutionaries to burn down a significant part of the West will be very sought after by Western women. Hopefully its Western men. You can see this now, if you know where to look.

Short of famine, in your face mortality/conflict and grinding poverty, the psycho-social queues to drive women K just won’t be there. Men are supposed to be more experienced than Women, it’s called being a “stud”. Gender swap and you’ll find there is another word associated with promiscuous women, and it ain’t “stud”. When a woman lands a stud, and dislikes it for some reason, guess what that is- it’s ego and raw amygdala. Something is wrong with that woman.

And if you still think good girls are out there, well good girls don’t get fooled, because they were raised right. People can still settle though, but that’s still a SMV game that women never seem appreciate the outcome of, especially when their SMV is still high. So women naturally lie, to themselves and others, its the mental illness that is caused by leftist propaganda. It’s isn’t entirely anyone’s fault though, just the signs of a declining culture. J.D. Unwin described it well, but it only moves in one direction (collapse and rebirth), because it’s an arms race, don’t participate and you will always lose.

I concur, early marriage should be encouraged. Less time to accumulate baggage (regretful decisions.) Also, consumer culture teaches people that something better is always just around the corner. Applying this to human relationships is too toxic for proper description.

I found the purest wisdom about relationships in, of all places, the gift shop of a tourist trap. It was a poster with this: “The grass isn’t greener on the other side of the fence; it’s greener where you water it.”

Alpha Game writ large is important for early teens of both sexes to understand. Good decisions often come from recognizing a new situation as a version of a familiar template and knowing in advance what the best decision in that case looks like. Both young men and young women can be manipulated into sex that is not in their best interest, and seeing the signals early offers them a chance to veer from error. So too is parental wisdom in preventing as much teenage self-directedness as possible, explaining that life is like a corridor of open doors; irreversible decisions close those doors one-by-one, and when you’re young you don’t know which door you’ll later wish to pass through to reach a happy life. For this reason alone, teens should be discouraged from making irreversible decisions.

I can relate but as noted,”…Women want to settle down with a man they can control, after they’ve lived the type of lifestyle Western civ makes available…”

We have to take society as it is.

Exactly. These aren’t the wholesome types of women of yesteryear, or maiden’s from a Knight’s tale. Biblically speaking any woman who casually dates is a harlot. Treat her like one. Its true that some will settle down, but watch them fail at something as simple as Thanksgiving dinner. Not that all harlots are bad either, far from it. Its just they should never be placed on a pedestal, they are not special and should be treated like the common things they are.

So what about “good” gays like Milo Yiannopoulos and Dave Rubin? what can you tell from their nasolabial lines?

Also as homosexuality becomes more mainstreamed wouldn’t that mitigate the level of disgust they’re trying to suppress and thus less of it would show up on their faces?

Great post. I’m interested if it’s possible to operationalize it into an even simpler rule of thumb. In your examples, it’s all about how high the kink/curve is. High = rabbit. Low = wolf. Is this accurate?

Hey Anonymous, I did not really think much about the jokes on stage with Jerry Seinfeld. Interesting, I would like to know more what you think of the guy. I enjoy his shows when growing up but now looking back the characters were r types pushing social normal’s.

I think it is still a funny show and the character were meant to be bad people and the ending (spoilers) the characters go on trial and are prosecuted for violating a “Good Samaritan law” (very K sort of law) and sentenced to prison terms.

Jerry Seinfeld is an interesting guy. He has been married almost 20 years and has three kids

In 1998 on the last season of Seinfeld he refused NBC over $100 million total, to continue the show into a tenth season.
Seinfeld told the network that he was not married and had no children, and wished to focus on his personal life.

His wife Jessica Seinfeld was married to another men at the time she meet Jerry (1998). You were saying this.

Did you think though the fact that he has be married for 20 years and sort quite show business to focus on his kids still makes him r?

My guess is that he started out some what K and that is what drove him to work hard at Comedy every night in New York even know it was very little. Once he started to get famous (though not as famous as he would become later on) and girls started to come over this push him r. The worst was when he got into TV and starting making lots of money and frame. But why did he stop doing the show? Why did he not continue chasing women? He had and still has the wealth and frame and could get most women like Hugh Hefner. Rising a family, and not cheating when you have the resources is not a very r type

I didn’t know that about Seinfeld. It is kind of shocking how very few good people there are in Hollywood and show business. The devil’s playground that line of work is.

AC, could disgust be triggered by being around people who are clearly a distinct out-group? I would imagine that normal people employed as say, an airport ticketing agent or a hotel receptionist could have something like that going on. It could be a real thing, some people could develop disgust over time because of their jobs, especially if the auslanders smell distinct.

Have you seen photos of Howard Rubin? He’s got the nasal fold, the submissive eyebrows, the pained weak-side face, and extreme asymmetry.

He’s also a Soros operative accused of sexual sadism and human trafficking.
