Not bad, considering it is just the start, pre-Apocalypse:
Italian voters have flocked to anti-establishment, Eurosceptic parties and rejected mainstream, traditional political parties, the latest results from the country’s election indicated on Monday.
The populist Five Star Movement, founded by stand-up comedian Beppe Grillo as a bombastic challenge to the established order, emerged as the big winner of the general election, in a result that will be viewed with trepidation in Brussels.
With around half the ballot counted, it looked as though the Five Star Movement had won around a third of all votes, up from 25 per cent in Italy’s last general election in 2013.
The Eurosceptic, anti-immigration League also performed well, according to preliminary calculations.
The numbers suggested that The League and Five Star together attracted 50 per cent of all votes.
The League was projected to take more than 17 per cent of the vote – compared with just four per cent at the last election.
In a bitter blow for former premier Silvio Berlusconi, The League was projected to take more votes than his more moderate, centre-Right Forza Italia party.
50%, and that doesn’t count the moderate right of Belusconi.
K begins with one individual who refuses to shoulder their part of the burdens of being a rabbit as discomfort grows. That one individual unburdens themselves, foists more burden on the rabbits, and then rabbits who expect ease for themselves see it – in another who has violated their dictums. And they see it as they themselves are suffering. That will trigger the cascade of people unburdening themselves by ignoring rabbit dictums. That is K-selection.
Now Italy will shunt migrants to other nations, and that will fuel anger in those other nations, as well as a desire to shunt migrants on to yet other nations again. The game of musical chairs has begun, and soon everyone will be clamoring to not be Sweden and Germany, holding all the migrants when the music stops.
And as that happens, the migrants will in-group and make demands, psychologically drawing battle lines between themselves and the natives, as they have already in Italy:
Things will heat up fast from here, and we haven’t even seen the Apocalypse hit yet. And given how the Euro is collapsing in response to this vote, it could be just around the corner.
