They are to be prosecuted if they resist:
… the owner of a property that is standing empty or is under-utilized will be required to take in migrants in numbers assigned by the state. Anyone who objects will be speedily prosecuted and jailed. To make matters worse, property owners do not have the right to be reimbursed by the state, because the government has used up the funds allocated for the placement of migrants.

Who are these wonderful people the Italians are sacrificing so mightily for?
Locals were terrified as African migrants rioted, throwing projectiles and screaming threats at passers-by in a protest against “racist” Italians on Wednesday and Thursday in Turin.
The Bataclan massacre was a “revenge of the excluded”, warned one of the hundreds of migrants, most of them illegal, who took to the streets to protest against not being given a “decent life” by Italian taxpayers.
“We have nothing in this city”, a man from Cameroon said, angry that people in Italy “do not understand that we are also boys and would like a decent life”.
The rioters are among 1,500 Africans illegally squatting in Turin’s abandoned Olympic village. Most of the men are in their twenties and while there are some who work on the black market, many complain about having nothing to do.
This is a perfect melding of r-selected migrants in search of, and expectant of free resources, and r-selected government functionaries who are programmed to just cede resources reflexively as a means of pre-emptive conflict avoidance.
What it is producing is a giant bloodbath of a war, just waiting for resource restriction to put all the Italians on the same page, K-selection-wise. And when it comes, expect the government functionaries who supported policies like this to be high on the citizenry’s hitlist.
No wonder the elites are trying so desperately to clamp down control. And don’t fail to miss that they are already running out of money. That is K-selection in the offing.
I hope they remember this next month, there’s some kind of referendum early December. It’s like Aaron Clarey said in Enjoy the Decline (excellent book btw), you don’t really own property, you own the right to pay taxes on the property, so really you’re renting from the Government but you have to pay upkeep. Next on my reading list is Fukuyama’s Origins of Political Order, it’s had comparisons to Gibbon.
Actually, a little more from this side of the pond, opinion. A lot of the common people are quiet now and asking questions. It isn’t that we’re dumb, we’re actually waking up to the scale, so here, some rapists are finally serving jail time (less than you’d get for abusing a dog, literally). One step forward, no points system back.
If they do not serve the public, which people do they serve, as public servants? these are the questions swirling around dinner tables, not charity plates either
I remember reading that welfare was a bribe to keep the poor from crime…. what’s the rationale now? They deserve to live at the expense of another’s labour, is this not the definition of a slave? Dependents are not equals. From what I’ve seen, the worst R is the public sector, everyone has stories of corruption to make a Clinton blush, much like sociopaths with ‘other people’s money’. QE is intended to float the boat to sail them through their retirement. Even BOE does this and GBP is supposedly okay (compared to EU, kek). I keep calling for Merkel and Co to be stricken of their gold-plated pensions like their people, because it is literally the only thing they care about. You kill a thief with poverty. Vox Day is predicting economic collapse in ~2030, but I haven’t seen a reason, it’s probably generational, whoever comes after Gen Z, who are the most self-centred bunch I’ve ever seen. Gen X expected a long pension, Gen Y expects welfare (here Jobseeker’s Allowance etc) and Gen Z expects cradle to grave or else they’ll cry at you like a baby. When all are thwarted, when the music stops, they’re going to be very upset. Then, you’ll see your Apocalypse. We care for consumption more than our countrymen. This is a mistake. I supposed the r-settlers presently here will escape where cost of living is lower, and to evade taxes on all their many children, but I could be wrong. I’ve found the best way to ‘flip’ classic liberals is to point out they won’t enjoy the benefits of the systems they pay into. reality triggers
[…] Italians Will Have To Give Use Of Second Homes To Migrants, Rent Free […]
Compensated or not (and especially if not), this looks worse than the requirement to house redcoats that was a major contributing spark to the American Revolutionary War. I would be very interested to get Vox Day’s opinion on what will happen, given his familiarity with the places and people.
This is madness they can just take your home. Everyone will sell and it will destroy the home market.
