Illegals Demand Pardons From Obama To Save Them

A good example of the r-psychology:

Illegal immigrants are preparing to ask President Obama to pardon some 750,000 Dreamers, saying such a move is their last, best hope to stave off what they fear will be a wave of deportations once Donald Trump takes the Oval Office.

Community leaders have planned a rally in New York on Wednesday to make the request.

“Millions of law abiding undocumented immigrants are fearful of what will happen when the new Administration takes control in January,” the group of New York state lawmakers and immigration advocates said in a statement announcing the rally. “However, President Obama has the power of pardons that he can use to protect all DACA enrollees.”

First they move to a nation where they think there will be free resources. Then they demand they be pardoned for breaking the law, despite not even belonging in the country. Then, they so expect free resources/success, that they think a pardon will solve all of their problems. The moment Obama leaves office, they will be in violation of the law, again, unless they immediately head back home.

But their amygdala can’t face what is coming, so they have convinced themselves this easy step by Obama will solve all their problems.

This is the rabbit psychology. Now if only resources were free, it would be perfectly adaptive.

Sadly for them, resources are not free.

You might spread around these reviews of r/K Theory because resources are not free – and it drives leftist crazy

Pardoning them will save them from punishment. A pardon doesn’t give them legal residency, so they are still subject to deportation.

Remember, prison is a punishment. Deportation isn’t a punishment — it is simply restoring the legal order. It’s simply being thrown out of a bar, on a bigger scale.
