I really see an ominous future, all over the world:
A draft law released by the German union for data protection (DVD) this week revealed that the interior ministry was proposing to drastically limit the powers of Germany’s data protection authorities, banning them from investigating suspected breaches of people’s medical and legal records.
As well as expanding video surveillance with facial recognition software, the bill would limit the government’s own data protection commissioners to checking that the technical prerequisites are in place to ensure that doctors’ and lawyers’ files are secure, but it stops them from following up when citizens report concerns that their data has been leaked.
The bill would also shut down citizens’ right to know what data is being collected about them – even by private firms, if releasing that information would “seriously endanger” a company’s “business purposes,” the SZ quoted the draft as saying…
In an emailed statement to DW, Vosshoff also criticized the ministry’s plans not to give the BfDI any power to sanction security forces for personal data breaches…
What I think they are doing is insulating private sector intel contractors from any civilian oversight or legal recourse, so the German government can contract out the spying, and bypass all the laws protecting civilians. Then, should the government be found with the data, they are immunized as well.
There are two possibilities. One, this is being done because people see the migrants are going to be a problem down the line, and they want to get on them early and begin cataloging them for deportation later. But if that was the case, why import them in the first place?
The other possibility is that the German government sees a need to have a detailed database on all its citizens in the near future. What makes that scary is that such a database is of no use unless the data within it is acted upon in some way. Merely looking at the data will not make it useful. The only action I see making that database useful would be active governmental repression or worse of all the iconoclasts who believe in personal freedom.
It is all very ominous. Throughout history, leaders have decided to clamp down on their societies and seize total power, regardless of what they have to do to the citizenry, once the tide of fate turned against them. It has never been unusual when push came to shove. Historically these have been left-leaning leaders.
Today we have a raft of left leaning leaders who seem to be setting the stage to gather the intelligence they will need if they are to follow such a path, and they are doing it just as the K-selection of an Apocalypse like this earth rarely has seen appears imminent.
Perhaps what was old will become new again.
r/K Theory will blow you away as much as the reviewers, because the evidence is that unarguable
