Flashback – James Comey Appoints Andrew McCabe Deputy Director

This might have been why Comey finally had to go:

Andrew G. McCabe is an American lawyer… he was appointed as Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation by James Comey in January 2016 and began those duties on February 1, 2016

McCabe has ignited concern among the right for several reasons. His wife was urged to run for office by Terry McAuliffe shortly after Hillary’s email scandal, and she got a nice infusion of cash from McAuliffe and others in the Democratic Party for her campaign, indicating some degree of leftist partisanship on the part of McCabe:

As first reported by The Wall Street Journal, Clinton confidant and Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe urged McCabe’s wife to run for statewide office shortly after news reports were published that Hillary Clinton used a private email server and address for all her government business while serving as secretary of State.

For the reporting period of October through November 2015, McCabe’s campaign filings show she received $467,500 from Common Good VA, a political action committee controlled by McAuliffe, as well as an additional $292,500 from a second Democratic PAC.

He was also named in regard to the phony dossier of dirt alleging President Trump had Russian prostitutes urinate on a bed Obama had slept on:

The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee is poking around for more information on the spurious dossier leaked to the media ahead of President Trump’s inauguration – this time, homing in on Andrew McCabe, the second in command at the FBI.

In a March 28 letter, Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, told FBI Director James Comey he wants a detailed description on the involvement of Deputy Director McCabe in the investigation of Russian ties to Trump associates.

Then there were the disturbing accounts of a meeting of high level FBI agents that McCabe held right after the election:

Senior intelligence sources said that embattled FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe openly professed his disgust for President Donald Trump at a senior staff meeting while loosing his cool demeanor in the process.

McCabe, the second in charge of the FBI, ranted at a staff meeting a week after Trump’s inauguration (approx Jan 27) about the newly sworn-in president, catching many FBI agents off guard with his anti-GOP vitriol.

At the meeting… McCabe told the packed conference room: “I hate Trump…”

These additional troubling revelations about McCabe come a day after True Pundit exposed the deputy director as a partisan FBI agent apparently waging his own liberal-infused domestic political policy and who took part in secret meetings to derail Flynn and Trump…

McCabe, the second highest ranking FBI official, emphatically declared at the invite-only gathering with raised voice: “Fuck Flynn and then we Fuck Trump,” according to direct sources. Many of his top lieutenants applauded and cheered such rhetoric…

This was one of several such meetings held in seclusion among key FBI leaders since Trump was elected president, FBI sources confirm.

Interesting. A high level leftist radical who would possibly have a hand on the national surveillance apparatus.

Although not in a position to know anything for certain, I kind of liked Comey. I liked that when Lynch saddled him with the decision of whether to charge Hillary or not, he found a clever third way, holding a press conference to cut Hillary to pieces, before announcing he wouldn’t press charges. It was a clever way to tell Lynch to screw herself, protect America from the election of a traitor, and play the political game. I would have preferred that he then schedule a public flogging followed by a summary hanging, but he seemed to do the best he could.

My guess would be that more than anything, the Trump team decided McCabe and his coterie needed to go, and Comey felt some loyalty to McCabe and wouldn’t fire him or his minions. McCabe was in a unique position, because if Comey wouldn’t fire him then Comey had to be fired. But by firing Comey, McCabe has been promoted to Director temporarily.

As is Trump’s style, when he deals with a problem he deals with it quickly, harshly, and with a K-selected eye focused completely on the long term objectives. Having such a leftist ideologue placed so highly in the nation’s premier publicly known domestic intelligence agency was an untenable proposition. And now it is about to be fixed completely.
