The amygdala constantly scans the brain. When it detects high stress, it attaches that stress to everything else that is going on around it. From that point, all of those other things, from phrases you hear, to foods you consumed, will remind you of that stress and trigger it again.
These may be the two words in the entire world that will stress Hillary out the most:
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump urged for the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton’s involvement with the Clinton Foundation during her tenure as US secretary of state during a rally in Akron, Ohio, on Monday.
Trump accused his Democratic rival of corruption, claiming that donors of the foundation were given preferential treatment and awarded with special favors.
Moreover, if Obama won’t appoint one, Donald will:
Donald Trump is pledging that as president, he would appoint a special prosecutor to probe the financial dealings of The Clinton Foundation.
“Special Prosecutor.” Hillary has heard that phrase a lot, and it wasn’t during happy times that she looks back on fondly. That phrase is associated with shocks, dread, rage, fear, uncertainty, humiliation, degradation, embarrassment, and panic. For Hillary, it is a magic phrase that explodes inside her amygdala like a little hand grenade.
The only thing Donald didn’t do was say “Like with Ken Starr and Impeachment,” but the truth is, he didn’t have to, and that might have dredged up some negativity in the public’s emotional palette that he didn’t need.
Now the stress is on Hillary. Either she wins this, or she is back to feeling terror at the repercussions of each new revelation from the Special Prosecutor’s office. If she doesn’t win, if she makes a mistake, if she senses even the most minor setback, she is being thrust back into the sights of a Special Prosecutor.
With each stumble, no matter how minor, her amygdala will explode. The stumble will be all she will see, because it will feel just like every time she was shocked by some new revelation, or forced to submit to some new indignity. It will be the panic she would feel every time in the past when the hordes of media jackals surged forward to nip at her corpse as she fell in the face of a new revelation, and struggled to get up.
Even as I marvel at the brilliance and mastery of Trump, I have to acknowledge, it is almost cruel and unfair. He is gleefully triggering a mental defective, and using her mental problems against her, at the very moment that her whole system is reaching its breaking point. If I didn’t know how evil Hillary is, and how the very future of American hangs in the balance, I would almost think it unethical. But given how evil she is, the reality is that this is purely noble.
Considering how Hillary’s engine was already sputtering, this could be the pressure that puts her over the edge. Certainly I wouldn’t want to be her in the debate when she makes some minor misstep, and Donald jumps on it to make her look stupid.
And if he uses that phrase – Special Prosecutor – at the debate, I would raise the possibility of a stroke onstage during live TV by about fifteen to twenty percentage points.
This is the best election I think I will ever see.

I am buying the rights to the three debates . Think of the money my progeny will make . However, I believe Hillary has heard the words “special prosecutor” so many times, and escaped, that she is probably giggling about how she’s going to beat it this time .
I often wonder why Hillary is putting herself through this…why she is so desperate to be President even though it is destroying her health. One reason is, as you allude to, she sees it as her only way to stay out of prison. I think there may be something more, too. She is running as if her life depended on it, and I think it does. She (and Bill) owe many favors to many powerful players who are counting on her to become President so she can pay those favors back. I think that if she drops out, she knows she might meet with a fatal “accident”.
Could be. I’ve also noticed that hateful personalities sometimes become fixated on forcing something their opponents don’t want on them. She hates the right wing, the right wing doesn’t want her as President, she decides that is what she is going to give them, and suddenly she is obsessed, and each tome the right tries to stop her she only gets angrier and more bent on showing them.
Plus, she ahs that thing where she is trying to prove to a distant father that she is worthy.
