President Obama on Thursday said that FBI investigators still “don’t know” what motivated the horrific mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif., a day earlier.
“At this stage we do not yet know why this terrible event occurred,” he said during a nationally televised press briefing. “We don’t know at this point the extent of their plans – or their motivations.”
At the same time we know this:
Syed Rizwan Farook — who along with his wife, Tashfeen Malik, carried out the San Bernardino shooting massacre — apparently was radicalized and in touch with people being investigated by the FBI for international terrorism, law enforcement officials said Thursday.
The really interesting aspect of peak r is how triggerable amygdalae can literally force the suppression of truth among the rabbits. Their brains, atrophied to the point of damage by resource excess and ease, will not let them grasp, speak, or even perceive simple, yet unpleasant truths about reality. To even try to touch upon reality is so painful that their brain, without their awareness, will blot out the truth as if it never existed.
The funny thing is, even without understanding the mechanism, everyone knows this. It even shows up in articles by people who know nothing of the neurological mechanism behind it:

Last Saturday night, 8.5 million Americans had the misfortune to watch three dangerously out of touch liberals debate the major issues of the day during the Democratic Party’s presidential debate. It was another example of how Democrats prefer the fantasy of their liberal beliefs to the true reality we are facing as a nation.
What the mechanism gives us is a simple way to communicate the reasons for this to the masses, and something so brilliant in political science that it will have to be taught to those studying it professionally at colleges, probably at the very beginning of their studies. At that point, when the truth of the motivation behind liberalism becomes inescapable, many rabbits will be forced to confront reality, by the very fact that their attempts to escape from it will not only be undeniable – they will be personally embarrassing.
It is not Apocalypse – but embarrassment will do until the big day is upon us.

I’ve often wondered about the fates of individual Leftists when Leftism in its current configuration becomes (at best) a subject for constant mockery or (at worst) a felony. At any other time in history, the Rabbits could’ve done what they always do when the zeitgeist changes — switch sides, and dial their new allegiance up to 11. They know better than anyone that we’ve always been at war with Eastasia, and today’s blue-haired bicurious vegan brony is tomorrow’s obergruppenfuhrer…..
….or, at least, that’s how it used to be. But the internet is forever. Do you think we’ll see Vichy-style Committees of Truth and Reconciliation, calling Salon.com writers and professors on the carpet to atone for their sins?
I think if you live long enough, you’ll see everything. Certainly, if the internet had been around during the Third Reich, there would have been some sort of consequence for the Germans who had opposed Hitler and Nazi-ism back then. I’m sure the Intel services of the time would have worked overtime to smoke out the internet histories, and felt the internet was a gift from God.
I would be shocked if in the future there wasn’t consequences for either left or right based on the internet, depending on who comes to power. Clearly Jeb’s people would love to see us fried, as would Hillary. I’m pretty sure I’ve already got people out there with my number all ready to be tattooed on.
The thing is, we’ll tend to be in a better position, because we can fight back. Obama wouldn’t do it if he could, because we scare him. If it one day it turns into an anti-leftist purge however (and I have no doubt it could), that will be a full purge, with all of them either fleeing the government forces overseas, or ending up dead. Historically once it goes that far, whoever is in charge won’t think twice about killing everyone, and whoever is so fed up they elected such a nutjob, will tend to be so pissed they won’t care.
After the big breathless hullabaloo last weekend over “Right-wing Christian anti-abortion domestic terrorism” in the wake of the Colorado Springs shooting, the moment I heard about San Bernardino and the name Syed Farook, I texted several friends with a prediction: while we have no idea yet what the Colorado Springs guy was actually doing it gets labeled “terrorism” immediately by the talking heads and politicians because Planned Parenthood was involved, but because this new incident involves Muslims and Islamic terrorism and possibly refugees the same people will bend over backwards to avoid mentioning the “T-word” or “jumping to conclusions as to motive”.
If I understand the r/K theory correctly, this shows that rabbits are happy to manipulatively identify anything they dislike or any threat to their free resources as “terrorism” (or “rape”, or “violence”, or “racism”, etc.) when it can be used to label and then outgroup/disempower their enemies (fellow rs or competitor Ks) and/or split their enemies and turn them against each other. These words are just words, magical formulas that sound like gibberish to them but somehow produce useful results among their enemies when recited.
But when confronted with a concrete instance of one of these words the same rabbits back down and cowardly refuse to admit that it is what it is. To recognize it for what it is would be to acknowledge a *real* threat, one which might require them to take action in response, or at the very least induces intolerable badfeels. Since these people are not actual rabbits who could simply run away from the perceived threat, they are forced to deal with it unwillingly. Thus they mouth stupid platitudes to reduce or deflect the anger directed at them, and they grasp at any straw to explain away the incident as something other than what it is so as to continue to deny the threatening reality as long as possible. We saw this even more clearly in the Benghazi mess.
