They were also targeting the Planned Parenthood videographers:
In the summer of 2015, Center for Medical Progress (CMP) began releasing its undercover videos exposing alleged profiteering on the part of Planned Parenthood and its partners in the biomedical fetal tissue procurement industry. The shocking videos forced America’s largest abortion provider into rapid defense mode, and smearing undercover journalist David Daleiden and his group became a top priority of Planned Parenthood.
The group hired Fusion GPS to perform a forensic evaluation on CMP’s videos, the results of which were reported at Politico in August of 2015 with the headline, “Report for Planned Parenthood Finds Sting Videos Manipulated.”
Fusion GPS has a history of hiring spooks, so I would assume they ran an intel operation to get background on the videogrpahers, complete with surveillance and database pulls as well.
I cannot believe I was ever so ignorant I would have thought the Planned Parent videographers could have done their videos, and then gone on with their lives unmolested.
But it isn’t just private sector intel firms helping the Democrats strike back:
What is shocking is the FBI’s apparent involvement in the effort to smear Trump with false rumors:
The FBI received a copy of the Democrat-funded dossier in August, during the heat of the campaign, and is said to have contracted in October to pay Steele $50,000 to help corroborate the dirt on Trump — a relationship that “raises substantial questions about the independence” of the bureau in investigating Trump, warned Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa.
It raises more questions than that. Why was the FBI meddling in a U.S. presidential election? Partisan interference in the election by public agencies like the FBI and major news sources like NBC are far more worrisome than anything Russians allegedly might do from afar.
The FBI, too, is trying to stiff Congress’s investigation into the fake dossier:
Senate investigators are demanding to see records of communications between Fusion GPS and the FBI and the Justice Department, including any contacts with former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, now under congressional investigation for possibly obstructing the Hillary Clinton email probe, and deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe, who is under investigation by the Senate and the Justice inspector general for failing to recuse himself despite financial and political connections to the Clinton campaign through his Democrat activist wife. Senate investigators have singled out McCabe as the FBI official who negotiated with Steele.
Like Fusion GPS, the FBI has failed to cooperate with congressional investigators seeking documents.
It appears that the Democratic Party has successfully corrupted the FBI as well as the CIA.
I mainly point it out so anybody getting into the mess that is our political situation understands that the other side will do anything to cling to power, and they have the resources to spend on examining everyone extremely closely.
When they controlled the White House, they even turned FBI resources to actively working to take out the only viable, patriotic candidate for President of the United States, to replace him with perhaps the most immoral scumbag ever to run for office. From the allegations of giving foreign hackers free access to classified documents on her server, to the killings of former military warriors in Benghazi, to the cases of sweetheart deals that arose right after big contributions to her family foundation, Hillary was the last person who should ever have held the Presidency. But when the machine calls, everyone jumps because it controls everyone.
Don’t underestimate what they will do to silence the alt-right online, now that it has proven a decisive force in Presidential elections. My guess is the meme-masters of Chan and Reddit will be getting looked at very closely between now and the next election. I shudder when I think of what would have happened had President Trump not been elected, and had Hillary been running that machine right now.
It does highlight the wisdom in Trump’s moves to take back the FBI preemptively, before it could regroup and launch a second attack on him.
