The media knows their weak spot:
NBA players LeBron James and Stephen Curry, WNBA player Candace Parker and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, among others, are featured on the cover. But the player who started the symbolic kneeling during the national anthem was notably absent.
Many people on Twitter were quick to ask, “Where is Colin Kaepernick?”
Kapernick is an example of how amygdala-pathways persist, long after regular memory circuits degrade. I’m sure when they polled him his negatives were through the roof, because all anyone remembered was a leftist commie who hated cops.
The idea that a Quarterback, an all-American position in people’s minds, would disrespect the anthem, hate cops, and be an anti-American hippy stuck in people’s brains because it was both, representative of conflict and it was a surprise. Quarterbacks are supposed to be likable all-Americans that innately respect service while quietly doing their job, and he went in completely the opposite direction. As a result, he was attached to those negative memories in the amygdala, and the idea of him as a douchebag was all that was filed away under long-term storage.
I would not be surprised that in people’s perceptions today, he is not even associated with what is going on now, any more than the current debates over refugees in Europe is attached to 9/11, even though the two are inextricably linked. In a few years, people will not even remember that he was a quarterback. All of the detail of him will evaporate, leaving behind nothing but a negative emotional feeling that he is a douchebag. Notice that in times of r, where name recognition is all that matters, that kind of “notoriety” can often be parlayed into big money and fame. That it didn’t work out that way for him would seem yet one more individual data-point indicative of K’s return.
My assumption is President Trump will let thing percolate a little bit, so everyone who has sympathies for the left will try to pile on. Then when he drops the hammer, he will tar all of his enemies in one fell swoop. Now Sports Illustrated has jumped in, and tried to cover for the traitors in the NFL by omitting things that are awkward for the league.
I expect others will follow, and between President Trump, his support among Law Enforcement and the military, and the return of the K-selected virtues, all them will be doomed.
Spread r/K Theory, and help sweep the Augean stables of our culture clean
If we can remember back to 2013, Kaepernik had great PR numbers and his merchandise was a top seller. Some serious bad voodoo got to him (or his real personality came out) by 2015, and coupled with his less than stellar performance probably drove him to grandstand by not standing and taking a knee. His popularity has since imploded. It reminds me of Jennifer Lawrence, she was still extremely popular in 2015/16. Had she been an avid Trump supporter instead of a rabbid, foaming at the mouth Hillary-bot she would practically own Hollywood right now. Instead she is “taking time off from acting” while the box office implodes. Normally, a good professional PR firm understands the social mood of the nation and advises actors/actresses and athletes accordingly. Those firms have been captured by rabbits, commies and islamists.
