Everybody is trying to have the ability to see as much about you as possible:
Google users are sharing their shock at discovering Chrome’s built-in anti-virus tool is scanning private files on their computers.
Chrome Cleanup Tool, a browser component added in 2014 to scan and remove malicious or resource heavy software, is behind the outcry.
It was originally an optional add on for Chrome, letting users get rid of malware and bloatware they may have unintentionally installed.
In October 2017, the Mountain View firm re-branded it and made it a compulsory part of the Chrome installation – without users’ knowledge…
The discovery was made by Kelly Shortridge, a cybersecurity expert at New York based startup SecurityScorecard.
Ms Shortridge noticed that the tool was scanning files in a documents folder on her Windows PC and was concerned that it may be collecting data.
She shared her findings on Twitter, where she said: ‘I was wondering why my Canarytoken (a file folder) was triggering and discovered the culprit was Chrome.
‘Turns out Google Chrome quietly began performing AV scans on Windows devices last fall.’..
Chrome’s head of security Justin Schuh responded to her directly on social media, writing on Twitter: ‘The Chrome Cleanup Tool (CCT) is not a general purpose anti-virus…
‘The team is investigating more opt-outs, but that balances against the potential for abuse.’
I doubt it is doing anything now, but notice it has all the tools.
I am increasingly assuming this is all related to the elites assuming there will be massive civil unrest when the collapse happens. In that model, all of this is about opening doors now, so when the unrest happens, teams can go through everything on everyone, and very quickly focus their forces on the people who are going to be most dangerous, clear them from the deck, and then move onto the next level of people who will be most dangerous, to deal with them. I’ll bet if you have PGP installed, or some form of coded messages, this could be tuned to pick up on them, as well as scan for any specific text of interest, or any web history of visiting high-risk websites or dealing with high-risk individuals.
This could actually turn into a pretty intense evolutionary pressure, if we let it happen. I’ve always felt like the world is filled with troublesome little pricks, but they are what keep the rabbits at the top in government (and above it in the Cabal) from overstepping bounds and just walking over everyone.
The rabbits at the top want to get rid of all those troublesome little pricks, and would jump at the chance to reengineer the human race genetically to just be mind-numbed subservient sheep. If we are not careful, they could make a huge step toward selectively breeding that strain of human sheep within months of the Apocalypse’s onset.
Know the risks, and cover your ass when the shit hits the fan.
The Roman Emperors thought they were pretty good at removing troublesome little pricks too. How many Emperors died natural deaths again? Of course, replace Praetorians with Robots and AI in our civilization cycle and you see the dilemma for the top rabbits- if they can think that far ahead which, of course, they probably can’t.
I discovered this at a client, in a hospital, they use a work-space controlling software that will block every executable that’s not explicitly allowed. We did some research, and as far as we could see back then, no information is sent to google. So because of all the “This application is blocked” popups the users were getting, ( would love to be able to selectively disable that popup for some some “known unwanted files” ), and the information we had at the time, we decided to allow it for the time being.
Perhaps I should start working on an power-shell script that runs in the background and make that folder read only.
There is already an extensive knowledge if you google on software_reporter_tool.exe ( %localappdata%\Google\Chrome\User Data\SwReporter )
