Heather Larrison, the Jeb Bush campaign finance director who may have pocketed $1.3 million in 2015, either directly or through companies in which she may have an ownership interest, from the Bush campaign and the pro-Bush Right to Rise USA Super PAC, certainly has chutzpah.
The Washington Post reports that Larrison spent time last week trying to persuade Bush donors that the campaign has a good financial plan:
Though the Bush campaign has not responded to our question, Bush donors may be asking that same question at an emergency meeting in Houston today.
It will be harder for the Bush campaign to ignore their inquiries.
As the Post reported, Bush donors appear to be very restless, and the extravagant payments to Larrison and related entities is unlikely to reassure them that Bush has the kind of financial judgment needed to keep his campaign afloat:
But one Bush fundraiser who requested anonymity to speak freely said: “It feels very much like a death spiral, and it breaks my heart. I don’t know anyone who wants to reinvest now.” The campaign, this person added, has been “head-scratchingly bad in every element. I wouldn’t be shocked in 60 days from now if he wasn’t in the race.”
r-strategists expect free resources. As a result, any campaign staffed by them will do half-assed work, take outsized compensation, and do it all while expecting easy success. After failing, you will catch them looking at successful campaigns in befuddlement.
Any one of us could have helped Bush do vastly better than the idiots he hired.
Contrast this with Donald’s campaign, which has turned now to characterizing Ben Caron’s campaign as “weak” on immigration and economic strategy. That word “weak,” combined with Dr Carson’s subdued demeanor, could be a lethal toxin to the Carson campaign. Carson’s people, sensing this, have responded by having Carson highlight his violent and angry past.
While Trump and Carson are using subconscious associations to seize every last advantage to mold public opinion, Jeb is burnishing his weak and cowardly image by having the Times run an article saying Bush is “despairing over the toxic tone of the campaign.” Trump isn’t even trying to destroy Jeb’s campaign any more because of how good Jeb’s people are at doing it themselves.
Bush’s campaign is a case study in the perils of free resources, the r-strategy, and the danger of hiring rabbits to help your cause. Bush had every advantage – media support, Establishment support, name recognition, family ties, personal connections, experience, and yet he has still failed. r-selection and free resources will destroy everything they touch. In truth, this is nothing but good for the conservative cause. Purging the rabbits from our ranks will only help the K-strategy in the end.
Apocalypse cometh.™

Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Bush has Punchable Wimp Face, which is characteristic of rabbits. I don’t even like looking at the guy.
