TruePundit runs part V of its bombshell special on Las Vegas:
This series ‘Fear and Lying in Las Vegas’ is mostly about what the FBI didn’t do, who and what it failed to look at in Las Vegas in the last six months since the shooting.
…Brian Hodge… Even though there is compelling evidence for Hodge, an Australian national living in the United States, to have been questioned. He never was interrogated…
Hodge began live Tweeting and Facebooking the Las Vegas massacre, claiming a host of unsubstantiated claims…
Hodge left Los Angeles on September 30th for Las vegas and disabled the geo-locating feature on this Twitter account.
“Something you do to hide your location,” one FBI source confirmed. “This is a surveillance-avoidance tactic that is taught to bad actors.”
FBI insiders said Hodge Tweeted throughout the Mandalay Bay attack with the geo-locating feature on his account disabled, thinking his location would be masked.
Then at 2:43 am PST, Hodge Tweeted again from the Vdara Hotel where he had checked into after vacating Mandalay Bay.
But FBI sources said for this post on Twitter, Hodge has turned his geo-locating feature back on…
… he… wasn’t where he said he was during numerous media interviews… he wasn’t even near the Mandalay Bay.
Hodge was ten miles north of the Mandalay Bay during the same time frame…
Hodge posted photos of Las Vegas SWAT officers on his Facebook account claiming they just rescued him and others from the bushes outside Mandalay Bay.
A closer analysis of the photos, however, revealed inconsistencies with Hodge’s stories. First, Facebook geolocation had Hodge pegged in Enterprise Nevada at the time of the post and not at the Mandalay. And second, the SWAT officers were photographed in the lobby of the hotel, not outside near the bushes…
FBI agents said Hodge likely snapped these photos of his way out of Mandalay Bay hours previous to posting…
While he said he was hiding in the bushes for hours, law enforcement sources said Hodge was actually ten miles north at the Knotty Pine Motel, a far cry from the luxury of any casino hotel downtown…
Enter German Torres Moreno who rented one of the rooms with his Mexico driver’s license. He was traveling with two other people at the time, according to records. Moreno rented the room at the hotel on Sept. 29th and then Oct. 1, checking out and skipping Saturday night. The trio returned on Sunday, the day of the attack, FBI sources said…
Moreno was driving a green Ford with Mexican plates. Investigators traced the license plates and his Mexican driver’s license number to an address in Guanajuato, Mexico and specifically the City of Penjamo. This city has dealt with its fair share of Islamic State related issues, according the federal agents and news reports…
But FBI brass would not allow agents to follow up.
To recap the older article, Hodge was an Australian national which came from the Casino industry in the same region of Australia where Paddock’s girlfriend worked in casinos. Right before the shooting he left his apartment in California and traveled to Las Vegas, where he spent the time during and after the shooting tweeting confidential details of the shooting and doing media availabilities in his native Australia, claiming to be at the site. However he apparently was either at the site during the shooting and fled immediately after, or he left before the shooting started, and then tweeted from a secondary location as discussed above. Because he tweeted things about the attack which contained inside knowledge of the attacks which he should not have had access to, this piqued FBI’s interest.
It is probably close to impossible to know what this means. Today, intelligence is not just a hall of mirrors – it is many halls of mirrors which intersect, and the hall you are in may not even relate to the hall you are interested in. But I would view it in terms of several things I have observed over the years.
FBI agents giving this to Truepundit is purposeful, on the parts of the individual FBI agents. FBI is a full fledged intel operation, so everything which occurred to me when I considered not blogging on this, already occurred to them prior to leaking it, and they ruled those possibilities out. For example, it occurred to me this guy could have been whitehat intel, running an unrelated operation targeting something like terrorism in Mexico, and he used the shooting to tweet confidential details to build a cover placing him at the Mandalay Bay that would mature as those details became public, and he did it for some reason, maybe obscuring his activities at the motel. That would be an innocent explanation for why FBI would wave its agents off.
Operating against this would be that he used bad tradecraft in not also disabling geolocation on his facebook, so he knew enough to be dangerous, but was probably not an outright trained professional. And in media appearances, he claimed to be staying next door to the shooter in Part IV of this series, something guaranteed to trigger investigators to track him down – something somebody trained professionally to stay in the shadows would never do.
Also, in these cases the agents acting always have more information than they reveal. My guess is they were poking around behind the scenes, and found more pointing definitively to this guy as a bad actor, but they can’t reveal that due to source issues, or because they don’t want somebody to know what they are on to. If they point you to him, they probably have more driving them.
Beyond that, you can’t tell much. Interestingly, agents imply in part IV that this guy had intel that wasn’t public about the attack, like the fact Paddock used a hammer to break the glass, and Paddock’s room number. Either he was professional intel and got it from there, or he was involved or knew someone involved. That he had intel on tools Paddock used before FBI had finished processing the scene might indicate he didn’t get it legitimately from any government intel outfit, and it increases the likelihood he got it from people involved, or he was involved in the set up of the event.
His setting up in a empty motel outside of town, disappearing for a day before the attack, and then returning the day of the attack, might be consistent with either running close surveillance of Paddock as he prepped, or helping setting up the attack.
Also, he had photos of the scene, but his phone wasn’t there. Somebody sent them to him? Was he there but his phone was at the motel, and he used another phone? They claim he was texting and tweeting on the phone at the Knotty Pine Motel, but was that even him doing it? Did he use burners, which would itself be significant? What route did those photos follow to the internet, and what phone did they come from? FBI knows exactly, but isn’t saying.
It is interesting he claims a security guard was killed right after the attack, when we are told a guard was shot, but survived. That feels significant, since although a lot of LE and intel would know everything, and a lot of civilians would know nothing, only a few people would know some, and not the rest. Somehow he knew a Security Guard was shot. And yet either he wasn’t able to figure out the final disposition of the guard because he lacked access to that information, or he is right, a guard was killed, but that is being covered up. Both should narrow down the truth about him.
There are probably too many possibilities to follow and try to discern there however. It is possible he was following a Police scanner, heard a guard was shot, but didn’t know what was happening after that and assumed. It is possible he was operating some form of technical surveillance tool which allowed him to see the guard was shot, but once the guard moved, he could not see what happened to him because of technical limitations, so he assumed a bumpstock’d AR wound would be fatal. This could have been a through-wall radar or a thermal device being operated from a room above that couldn’t see well laterally, or just a piggybacked feed of the hotel security cameras which lacked coverage wherever the guard fled to.
Alternately, the guard shot was private security of a Saudi royal who actually died, and whose ID is being kept secret, with the hotel security guard acting the part of wounded victim to explain away any scanner traffic referring to a shot guard. Too tough to tell the significance.
Another data point is that he and his “team” managed to set up in a motel that apparently had almost no other occupants. If it wasn’t coincidence, that is tough to do purposely, without an intelligence operation supporting you that can check motel occupancies in moments. But it is exactly what you might want to do, if you intend to tell everyone you were somewhere else, and don’t want to be seen elsewhere.
Also of interest is the fact that he immediately sought to inform Australian media of all the gory details, so the Australian media would have a humanizing face for the tragedy, just as Australia was trying to publicize and promote its unpopular gun amnesty program.
One possibility which might fit the facts as we have them, is that Hodge was a low-level private intel operator of some sort. His team’s mission could have been working for Deep State/Cabal, specifically to help it disarm it’s Australian enterprise with a coordinated media campaign piggybacking Paddock’s attack. Because of his work here, the media there could run breathless amygdala-triggering footage from a native live on the scene of the attack, and focus the public’s attention on how bad guns are. Otherwise it was just a shooting in a foreign land, of no importance to Australian citizens.
In this model, he checked into the Knotty Pine Motel on the outskirts of town, and his team set up an observation post in the motel, established backdoors to link into the motel’s wifi, and then they left for Mandalay Bay. There, they all spent the day before the attack setting up remote technical surveillance at the Mandalay Bay, focused around Paddock’s suite and maybe even in his room, while Paddock gambled and some surveillance kept track of him downstairs so they wouldn’t risk him walking in on them. With electronic keycard security now, entering the room is no problem. They could have put software on Paddock’s devices to send whatever he was watching to them. They may even have hacked Mandalay Bay’s network, and grabbed access to the security camera array of the hotel.
His team then plugged all of the technical surveillance they had amassed at Mandalay Bay into the other other motel’s wifi over the internet, and then they all either waited for the first shots and then got to the Knotty Pine fast, or they immediately returned to the Knotty Pine Motel, getting out of dodge just before Paddock was set in motion, perhaps for security reasons, perhaps to avoid cell phone network overloads from impacting Hodge’s ability to tweet and text.
We did have an account of Paddock having a video camera set up in his room, positioned to film him, but we were told it wasn’t recording. His other cameras covering the hall were supposedly rigged to a tablet, which means their video could have been picked up and transmitted too, along with the camera on the tablet, which would have been pointing at Paddock as he kept the Tablet in view. That all might explain how Hodge knew a guard was shot, but not his condition. He saw a guard approach on the hallway camera, saw him take a blast and disappear around a corner, and assumed he had been hit mortally.
It is possible everything was transmitting, over Mandalay Bay’s wifi, and to the Knotty Pine, or even over a 4G linkup set up prior. Then Hodge’s team back at the Knotty Pine sat back, watched the show, and he began posting what he saw and role playing a victim on the scene, so he could then call Australian media and give them their stories. All the technical penetration might also explain why Paddock’s hard drive had to disappear.
Any surveillance operator left behind in the Mandalay Bay could have snapped photos to send Hodge, as he remote role-played a victim who was live on the scene. As soon as the attack was over and it was clear Vegas’ cell network wouldn’t be shut down, he high-tailed it back to Vegas, activated his geolocation to verify his position officially, and then resumed his role as if he never left. It would explain his knowing the room number and the hammer being used to break the glass, as well as his strange geolocation activities and why he knew a guard was shot and said the guard was killed.
The possible link up with Moreno would just happen because Moreno could have been the Deep State’s linkage to ISIS south of the border, and thus a trusted agent and convenient asset to deploy to support this mission. After all, we know Intel created ISIS in the Mideast. We are only just now beginning to grasp that these types of organizations, be they ISIS, MS-13, or even the Taliban or Cartels, are all just Deep State foot soldiers of a different stripe, made of the dregs that wouldn’t make it through Marine Corp boot camp, but who are willing to do much worse things from a moral perspective.
The only thing which still has no potential explanation in my eyes is the woman warning everyone at the concert that they were about to be shot, before being hustled out by security.
The problem with everything else is that there are too many possible explanations, and almost none of them are innocent.
Tell others about r/K Theory, because it is a dangerous world out there
Re: the woman warning people they would be shot. It is possible this was the elite using their twisted morality. They let us know what they are doing (usually through predictive programming In film, TV, etc) and by not responding we are giving them permission to do these things to us. I said it was twisted!
Moreno in Spanish means dark skinned. It’s etymology derives from “Moor” and means “dark like a Moor.”
Like Q-anon said, their compulsion for symbolism will be their downfall.
