Border Patrol Agent Kidnapped And Mutilated

If you live near the border, be vigilant:

Doña Ana County, New Mexico – U.S. Customs and Border Protection confirmed that a Border Patrol agent was recovered after being badly injured. Reports coming in from various news outlets say that the agent was tortured and horrifically mutilated.

The Agent is alive and recovering, thankfully, though he will have a long road ahead of him. Not a lot of details, but it does have the air of what happens on a daily basis over border in Mexico.

If you live near the border, be aware K will hit in some places sooner than others. Economic impoverishment, and the close proximity of out-groups will trigger early outbreaks of Apocalypse. Where Mexico meets the US will probably go kinetic faster than places more inside the US, so if you live there, be aware that keeping your eye on the national temperature may leave you unaware of how bad things are where you live.

Back in the nineties, I was on a web board where a Border Patrol Agent frequently posted. He was former Army Counter-Intelligence, and one night his old training kicked in and he noticed he seemed to be getting followed home in his BP SUV. He ran a couple of detection routes, and sure enough he had a tail. He swung around, turned on his lights and was about to stop them when he heard a call for assistance somewhere else, and took off for it. He must have spooked them because they took off as he pulled away.

The next day it came out three gang-bangers in a car matching the description of that one had ambushed one of the local uniformed PD’s, in a purposeful attack. As I recall, the other officer was shot, but recovered. He said he would always wonder what would have unfolded if that call for assistance hadn’t come through at that moment. Bad things will be most dangerous when you don’t see them coming.

Of course any LE from near the border who happen across this, be vigilant.
