Vox makes the case we should stand with Charlie Hebdo on principle. Perhaps.
The problem I see is, the left imported the Muslim threat. Then the leftists at Charlie Hebdo inflamed it with leftist snark to the point that it began shooting at them, and even killed innocent citizens in the Kosher Deli. Now they want everyone to “stand with them,” which really means fight the enemy they imported and angered, while they hide under the table, so they won’t have to face the consequences of their own stupidity.
Indeed, the rabbits in the media can’t even be persuaded to publish the new Charlie Hebdo cartoon, in their articles about it. The NY Times article on the new cartoon made it a point to mention twice that they would not publish it, lest any future jihadi mistaken believe that they would consider offending radical Islamist sensibilities and target the Times, instead of the Police and Military personnel the rabbits want to fight this battle for them. Oxford University Press will expect that everyone else will fight for them, even as they ban any mention of pigs or pork in their books, lest some Muslim somewhere get offended and try to target them specifically. Obama himself is so uncommitted to this fight that he couldn’t even find one administration official to march in France, in token support of the victims of the attacks.
The radical Muslims need to be killed when they do this type of thing. Nor should we tolerate that type of violence in our society. But what if we made it clear that our position was that the Muslims could have at the leftist rabbits, and that we didn’t want to get involved in the fight? What would the left do, if every police officer, military man, and patriotic citizen said, “No, we aren’t Charlie Hebdo. We didn’t want to import the radical Muslims to begin with, and we aren’t the ones who then went out of our way to piss them off. You Leftists created this entire problem yourself, now you can go deal with it yourself. You are not our people, and they are only killing you, so why should we get involved?”
That would be more logical. The only difference compared to what the left is doing now would be that we wouldn’t haven’t started the fight that the leftists would then pay for. Now it is the left importing the fighters, starting the fight, drawing us into it, and then seeking to avoid the conflict by not offending the enemy, so the enemy will focus on us. As one article on it noted,
Every media outlet that refuses to publish the image raises the risk, however marginally, to the ones who do. That’s why Charlie Hebdo was targeted to begin with. A small French paper shouldn’t be on jihadis’ radar screens, but if they’re one of only a handful globally willing to publish images of Mohammed…
More and more, I think we need to split the population into r and K, and let the r’s fend for themselves. There would be no better way to train their amygdala to realize that actions have consequences, than to let them think that when they import radical ideologies, they will not be rescued by anyone else from having to live under the rules of that radical ideology. If a gay promiscuous woman supports importing a radical Muslim, then let her answer to him when she wants to drive, learn to read, dress comfortably, wear makeup, engage in lesbianism, or have affairs with other men’s wives. If she can’t sway her imported radical friend’s judgment, why should we then have to step in with force on her behalf? After the radical Muslims spend a few decades culling the low-hanging fruit that is the helpless rabbit herd, then we could step in and remove the threat before it begins presenting itself to us.
An additional advantage would be that by that time, few rabbits would balk at doing what needed to be done. Now, the rabbit’s position seems to be, “Surround us as we offend the violent Muslims we just imported, so when they start killing people, you will die first.”
That is a fool’s proposition, offered by cowards and imbeciles. We would be equally stupid to ally with them.
[…] Are We All Charlie Hebdo? […]
This reminded me of Revelation 9:4
4 They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads.
Very interesting observation.
If you want a laugh, watch this moron’s video:
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/the-big-picture/9994-Je-Suis-Charlie-Comics
As you can tell from the prodigious blathering (which really leads up to nothing) and the Moral Relativism, he’s a leftist. He also apparently has no idea what Charlie Hebdo was (believing that they were pretty much a French version of MAD magazine) and he also has no idea that Charlie Hebdo was pro-immigrant. (He seems to think their anti-Islamic cartoons were racist and meaniehead jabs at the immigrant population.) He also ALSO believes that only governments can inhibit free speech and that totalitarianism is fine as long as it’s used to “punch up” at Oppressor populations.
All of MovieBob’s output is pretty much the same. He’s the Platonic Ideal of a Modern Leftist and a good baseline to go by if you’re looking for examples of leftist behavior to show to others.
I like the idea, but I wonder how to implement it. The rabbits surround us. They’re mixed in with us. How do we go about “abandoning” them to the orcs?
I think at this point, it just has to be rhetorical. There really isn’t much violence to hand them over too. “I am Charlie!” is an amygdala relaxant. They needed it because their amygdalae were beginning to trip. They looked out at Charlie’s fate the way you or I looked at the passengers on 9/11.
9/11 was deeply bothering to me, because I would have done what those passengers did. Don’t be a hero and don’t make trouble, because you could get innocent passengers killed. All you had to do was let the plane land and the negotiations begin – it was the smart move. Maybe try to get a line out to the outside to give intel. Don’t risk everyone else until it is clear you will save lives and not cost them. The main shock was realizing that I would have helped the terrorists by trying to do what was best for everyone. They would have won, and I would have let them. The second shock was, everything I had known needed to be re-evaluated, because such a bedrock assumption was so completely wrong. How else was I completely unprepared? How else might I let them win. That was my amygdala, and it is what the left is feeling now.
They think they are free to do what they want. They think there are no consequences. Suddenly a bunch of them are murdered, and the police out front couldn’t save them. Their amygdala is on fire. It needs some sort of relaxing idea. You or I’d say fuck this, I’m carrying a gun, and it won’t happen to me – but you or I are saying this already, so Charlie isn’t really as freaking as 9/11. But that isn’t an option for them, so to them, this is 9/11 all over again. They need a sense of being protected to shut off the amygdala. Someone begins the “I am Charlie” campaign, and it gives them a feeling as if they are deep in the herd, and safe again. Sure the Police were helpless, but now everyone is with them. Next time will be different.
If at that point, you can rob them of that feeling, by saying, “No you’re not in the herd. You’re all alone,” you will activate their amygdala again, and they will either have to convince themselves that you are such a small minority you are wrong, or they will have to find another amygdala relaxant, like being able to defend themselves, or taking measures to remove the threat.
As the chaos begins, we need to establish a meme that it is liberalism’s fault, and thus liberals should get what they deserve, and be cut off from support. The more alone they feel, the less hidden in a herd they feel, the more likely they will seek a solution for the problem, rather than a reality denial involving someone else protecting them. I think the first measure most would take is to deny to themselves that they are a liberal, and the second measure would be to embrace conservatism, which in their mind’s eye, they would see as honestly realizing we were right. They only come to conclusions on emotion, so we need to guide them to the right conclusions with their emotions, not logic.
That might work if enough of our people use that approach. So far, few of us know about the r/K framework for politics.
I hope Bill Whittle can get your book into Ted Cruz’s hands & turn him into an r/K paladin.
I wonder who else is a messaging “force multiplier” like Bill is? Maybe I should send copies of your book to Evan Sayet, Rob Lowe, David Mamet, Sabo, and Robert Downey, Jr.
Do not spend your own money on this, because it is self-funding itself, and we have a collapse coming. Have no mistake, you are going to need every shilling once the trouble starts, preferably in gold and silver. This is growing on facebook, at an accelerating pace (600 likes on facebook for ac.com back in early December, almost 4000 now), and Bill has provided all the social proof it could possibly need. It will go, because those who have seen it are converted, permanently. It just needs to keep permeating for a while.
Plus, I’m not sure guys like those even see their own mail. At that level, keeping in touch with every fan who wants to contact you would probably be impossible. I’m amazed you even got Bill to look at it, probably only because he is like a human dynamo. In addition, anybody with a publishing contract may be barred by the contract from discussing anything relating to books without permission of some sort. I’m not sure, but I get the impression that even if I was best friends with Rush, he loved r/K, and wanted to promote it, he might have been contractually reined in at some point earlier, so he could only promote books approved by the machine. I think that is why big names get massive contracts for books which don’t do that well. What they are really selling is their ability to promote stuff in the future to their fanbases, for the publisher.
I appreciate the offer, but this isn’t stalled. I assume God has some timetable worked out, and he wants the environment a little more K-favoring before this reaches the point that it really takes off.
Sending this book to a handful of people is a negligible expense, with a potentially huge benefit. I’m Perfectly happy to invest <$100 for the chance to save society.
IF anybody knows of somebody who might help this spread if they received a book, send me the address. I can drop-ship the book to them from the publisher for a fraction of what it would cost anyone here, and write off the cost in the process, with no effort. I’m telling you, I appreciate the help, but it is more cost effective and smarter if I do it.
For the record, I’m pretty sure most of the professional political Conservatives we see around have at least heard of this by now. I think the problem there is not getting them to hear of it, but rather getting them to be more certain that they won’t get attacked for saying something about this, and getting them more certain that it won’t suddenly fall apart after they’ve advanced it, leaving people laughing at them for supporting something stupid. To a lesser degree there may be a business angle, in that a writer for Random House can’t really advance the sales of a book without Random House signing off, or they will lose future opportunities, for helping a competing entity get book sales Random House wants. If everyone else is talking about it, I expect they will as well, but until then, they are holding back to see what shakes out.
Seriously, spend that money on presents for loved ones. I’ve got this covered.
Finally, someone tells the whole unvarnished truth. Thank you so much for making
this idiotic world make”sense” to me. Too bad you’re not on CNN, to explain to the
adult children watching Romper Room{ or Blue’s Clues, if you are a bit younger} aka
The Situation Room.{ Wolf Blitzer should have a Magic Mirror to see{name} the audience How about explaining the situation they{ the media} has caused?
No, we are not all Charlie Hebdo. Have a great day AC, and thanks for putting the
truth out there.
For the Blue’s Clues fans that watch CNN- maybe” Steve” could come out of retirement
with his blue dog and help Wolfie get a “clue” as to what the situation is. Does anyone
else see the irony in Wolf Blitzer’s name?
What in the hell did Movie Bob {more like Movie Boob} actually say? Double speak
at it’s finest. I wonder if this asshat has considered becoming an auctioneer? He should
be a senator or Avon lady.
Why should obama go to the 70th anniversary of the liberation of auschwitz no muslims died there. The republicans should send a jewish congressman if there are any.
