Apple MacBook Pro Will Stop A Bullet

File away under good to know:

If you didn’t know the construction of an Apple Macbook Pro its pretty impressive. For the test a Smith & Wesson.22 long rifle caliber and 9mm is used against the laptop from approximately 7 yards away.

Results As speculated the Mac Book Pro stopped the .22 cal round, no penetration at all. The big surprise came from the 9mm being the higher velocity bullet, still did not penetrate the laptop.

I’d prefer a laptop that could shoot a bullet back, but I suppose stopping one is impressive nonetheless.

Of course it might be easier and lighter to just put a trimmed layer from a bullet proof vest in your backpack, or even buy Kevlar fabric and layer it yourself, but if you have a MacBook and a shooting goes down, you can assume it will offer some cover from handgun fire.

Tell everyone about r/K Theory, because we need more than a MacBook pro given what is coming

Man, I knew the vibrant fugees were skinny, but 22lr skinny? Could I recommend a charity, that redistributes larger slugs, to the migrants, preferably as fast as kinetically possible?

For the record the 22LR velocity generally exceeds that of the 9mm.

5.7 or 22mag would seem the way to go if you were going for v. The only need I can see for 22lr is if you want maximum silence in subsonic rounds. Personally I would opt for larger calibre 9mm subs or 357sig subs with a suppressor. 22lr for survival/hunting I don’t even like b/c most rounds are very lead heavy which I wouldn’t want mixing with small game meat. I would use a light lead free 40gr .223 for hunting or just a crossbow. 22lr is very easy to cast though, but if you get really good at casting 9mm or 223 is just a small step up. If you are running 22lr through a suppressed bolt action, just move up to 300 blackout, it is almost just as quiet and has better put down ability.
